Update, review below is invalid, as the business is now in the ownership of an artisan pizza store, Which in my opinion, is not pizza, but fancy flatbread concoctions of dough.Low acid (SM) sauce, combo (PPM)mozzarella, 00 flour! This is an authentic nyc Neapolitan slice. Authentic by Italian standard which is slowly disappearing in ny.Obviously there are different types of ny pizza ( Neapolitan, Margherita, Sicilian) outside of these types and it’s an experiment project. In queens and Brooklyn you get more sauce, Bronx more cheese, Manhattan equal parts.Pizza should never be eaten with a fork, fold slice and paper plate in half and eat. Sauce and oil won’t drip down your forearm. Pizza on the west coast is pineapple and ham, broccoli, no sauce or gluten, taco- fork and knife “special” ....... if this is what you’re used to, respect. There is no comparison however, and it comes down to what we are accustomed to eating. The west coast isn’t historically Italian though, hence the artisan experiment.NYC plain cheese, wing, pasta and antipasto spot.* If it’s gluten free there’s no elasticity in the dough and you’re left with a dry cardboard type of bread.I am not a food critic, but I am sincere and 40 years of NYC pizza consumption is my credential.RL

They need to update this page. This place is no longer a pizza/Italian place. I tried going in to get a pizza slice and mozzarella sticks I was told they no longer sell them. Now it’s a Ukrainian restaurant and they have individual pizzas for $26! Last month you were able to get a slice for $3. I used to love coming here. So sad they replaced this place for something so different.

Been a loyal customer for years since I moved in. I’m completely against businesses getting rid of phone orders and switching to Uber eats, it increases inflation and hurts business. The fact you can’t order in-building delivery anymore will end this business. I’m excited to see what comes next though.

The old management and Menu was Soo much better. Only have 2 salads now that are both WAY OVER priced. Terrible idea, changing the menu not to mention All previous items are on average more expensive then they used to be.... #terrible.Almost forgot to mention the New Management; treated me like Trash for the simple fact (I believe) I didn't do my hair and I had my afro out....

Had been going to the slice for years. New management took over and turned it into an almost instant walk out of the store for me. Took 5 minutes for the guy take orders to return to the counter after going in the back. I asked for 3 slices and they let me know they no longer do slices. I order a pepperoni pizza and he rings me up for $30. My littler heart couldn’t bear the realization that one of my favorite pizza spots is now overpriced with terrible service :’(

I am really annoyed with The Slice. I loooove their pizza but their inconsistent hours make ordering from them irritating at this point.

If I could give zero stars I would. I was a longtime customer of the slice. In well over ten years of ordering food I never had any problems with anything I bought until recently. I got wings for a party and during the evening some of my guests informed me that the wings didn’t taste that good and didn’t seem fresh. I was surprised because they’ve always tasted great. I decided to call just to let them know my disappointment because every other meal I’d ordered from them was always so good. I never demanded a refund or even new wings. I was just hoping for an apology and maybe some small compensation on this or a future order. The woman I spoke to pretty much tried to blame me for the wings not tasting good because I called an hour and half after they were delivered. Which makes no sense because she’s basically saying that their wings have to be eaten immediately upon delivery or they will taste old. She was rude and unsympathetic and I couldn’t believe that she would treat a long time customer this way so I finally remarked that maybe I should consider ordering my pizza elsewhere. Her response was “well maybe you should order your pizza somewhere else”. I was appalled. That’s the last thing I expected her to say. I called the next day to speak to the owner, Luc. I told him my story and that I couldn’t believe that he would want his employees telling customers to go elsewhere instead of trying to keep them coming back. He said he would look into it and call me back. Its been one week and I’ve never heard from him. Clearly this place does not value their customers. I will never order food from them again and tell anyone I know who does, to go elsewhere.

I can see why this place has 5 stars! It tastes homemade, fresh, and the staff is so friendly. Definitely the best NY pizza around.

Unlike most of the reviews, I thought the wings were decent, but in my opinion, the pizza was the closest I’ve had to NY style pizza since I’ve moved here. Amazing. Our new go-to, for sure.
