“I love Lazy Acres. I have lived in Manhattan Beach for over 23 years. I actually live walking distance from Lazy Acres on Artesia just a few homes down from Miracosta high school. The property Lazy Acres is on used to be the auditorium and indoor skate park where my sons attended because they are members of the church, Hope Chapel. The staff at Lazy Acres are wonderful. Robert, Danny and Pedro, along with the store associates are all really nice except for this one person named Tiffany! I went into Shop one day, and as I am bagging my own groceries, my choice, because I feel it's best to help out when you have some groceries and I did have a lot, she gets upset because I used two of the premade double bags she had prepared and put in with the other bags. She had the nerve to say to me, "You keep taking my bags!". I tried to ignore her, but she said it again And the fact that I'm bagging my own groceries...It doesn't matter if I'm doubling the bags myself or if she's bagging the groceries. I'm sure she would use the double bags or if there was a bagger available they would use the double bags. She went on and continued to argue with me how she didn't want anyone using the bags that she took the time to double. First of all, she's on the clock and the time she spends checking, doubling a bag, bagging the groceries or not, it's going to be the same for her, and I found it very rude for her to talk to me the way she did . I did contact the manager and I hope that she was spoken to about this situation. If that had been my first time in that store, and that happened to me, I would never return, because I can't believe someone could be so rude to a customer who is bagging their own groceries. I know you all are wondering why I would give the store a five star review. I did so because the store is wonderful and the staff is wonderful but it's just that one bad Apple that stood out and I wanted to bring the situation to the table and let others know.”

“I made a mistake trying to order the bagel and lox dish for a family Christmas party. The day of the event I went to look for a non-existent confirmation in my email. I guess I missed the final step in the process.I called frantically to the Redondo Beach Whole Foods. They were very busy on a Sunday pre-Xmas morning but eventually I got in touch with Elizabeth whom I think works in the prepared foods department. She was extremely accommodating and pleasant. She told that she could pull it off. That was an hour and a half before the party. Normally they require 48 hours. I couldn't believe she did it and it was beautiful. A major hit at the party and I would definitely order it again. I still can't believe Elizabeth went the extra mile. Very impressive. Thank you!”

“Kudos to the manager of this Pressed for quick thinking and excellent customer responsiveness. I had been attempting to track down some Pressed soft serve and was not succeeding. The Pressed on Abbot-Kinney said their machine was on the fritz. The Pressed on Sunset and Vine was closed early and without warning. No sign or reason why. Having traveled from the westside to Hollywood for a meeting, I thought I'd give it one more try on the way back. While Pressed Corporate has deemed it important that none of its customers be able to contact its stores by phone, and the Pressed web-site and Yelp listings are woefully inaccurate, I had to take my chances with Larchmont. Yelp said they had Frozen pressed in store. After miraculously managing to find parking on Larchmont, I walked several blocks to the store only to find out that they DO NOT have frozen pressed soft serve. Frustrated, I asked for the manager. This is when his professionalism kicked in. Noticing my frustration, he offered me a frozen pint from the freezer so that I wouldn't go away empty-handed. Not only smart, but generous and all completely done with a smile. Much appreciated. Hard to be mad when someone obviously cares and is willing to stand up for his business. Pressed Corporate, please take note. This store had its act together. Now Corporate needs to get on top of its marketing and communications.”
