“Loved this shop and the staff! Bikerowave is a an awesome non-profit with some reasonably priced bikes. The people are passionate about fixing bikes and making sure everyone can experience the joys of biking. Michael helped me pick a bike and spent 30 minutes talking through the different considerations in buying a used bike. He also let me test ride the different bikes and also helped me understand the differences in the types of gears and speeds. I ultimately got a used mountain bike there for about $180 but they had bikes in the low $100 range or less. There was also a kid's bike for $25. There is always a chance you find a cheaper bike on OfferUp but this shop has a great mission and has people that truly care about biking. Highly recommend checking it out!”

“I'm currently in the early stages of the NACA qualification process and haven't been fully qualified yet, but I feel compelled to share my experience so far. The process, while comprehensive, has been relatively straightforward, which I didn't fully expect given the complexity of buying a home. This simplicity is largely thanks to the incredible support I've received from my NACA counselor. They've been exceptionally helpful and informative, guiding me through each step with patience and clarity.Although I'm still on my journey to homeownership, my experience with NACA has been positive. The program's commitment to making homeownership accessible without the burden of high closing costs or down payments is truly commendable. My counselor's guidance has been invaluable, and their dedication to assisting me in navigating the process has bolstered my confidence in achieving a favorable outcome.I have high hopes for the future and am optimistic about what lies ahead with NACA. For anyone considering the program, I recommend going in with patience and an open mind. The process might be meticulous, but the support you receive and the potential benefits are well worth it. I'm looking forward to continuing my journey with NACA and am hopeful for a successful conclusion.”

“Wonderful little gem of a place! Small enough to easily walk through while genuinely enjoying the wildlife displays and interactive experiences! The aquarium is conveniently located at the end of Manhattan Beach Pier. There are educational labels with pictures at each display, and there is a tide pool with guided interactive experiences on site for kids of all ages! The moon jellyfish were so cool to watch! Definitely if you are in the area check it out! It's easy to get to and free to enter, although donations are encouraged and accepted.”

“I just spent the week at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center. GAME-CHANGER! I have learned so much about authentic yoga with a group of the most lovely and caring people. The level of kindness, acceptance, and love that was extended to me during my stay was absolutely extraordinary. I took a course called Positive Thinking, and my instructor was Parvati. Thank you wonderful Parvati! This course was so helpful to me and was taught tools on how to create more peace in my life, and was done from an authentic yoga perspective. I stayed for almost a week and was dealing with pain in the right side of my body including my neck, shoulders, hip, and foot. In just less than a week, almost all of my pain has cleared after participating in the 2 daily yoga classes that were offered to me. Needless to say, I am a happy camper because I feel so good! The Swami is such a phenomenal yoga teacher! Thank you, Swami, and Sivananda Yoga Center for helping me so much! I am a healthier person as a result of your yoga teachings!”

“The activities were fun, we got to learn about using power tools, and the staff were great! Especially Hanabee, Jim, and Alex. Started off with a name activity and moved into using a hand saw and drill. Made a thing called not-a-box where you start off with a box and transform it into your own thing. Totally recommend!”

“I recently purchased a patio set from Habitat for Humanity which I saw posted on their FB page. I immediately ran over, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly throughout the entire process. Not only did they help me find a great deal on the set, but they also went above and beyond by assisting me in loading it into my car. They had some cute furniture pieces. Their customer service truly made my shopping experience enjoyable. I highly recommend Habitat for Humanity for their excellent service and quality products.”

“For what it is, The Moose Lodge is a 5 star venue/bar. It's not a bar at the Ritz nor is it the Grand Ballroom at the Waldorf Astoria. The Moose is exactly what it is, a low key neighborhood gathering spot. The faces are ever changing and with them come new generations. Long gone are the days that are depicted on the sign which is mounted on the rear of the building. Those wholesome innocent eyes of the early 60's now look down upon a crowd that is as diverse as stars in the night sky. As wholesome as our family from the signage? Well that's debatable. As innocent, I think not. Still, all are drawn as a community to their place. The Moose. There is plenty of room for events. Our recent encounter found us amongst a crowd of 300 or so loving souls. We were dispersed throughout the event venue, bar area, and outside below our ever vigilant family, who are making sure that no booze makes its way out back. We must be considerate and continue to be friendly neighbors. The bar was well stocked, that is until the hoard made its presence felt. The top shelf was feeling the strain, as were our hosts who worked diligently to keep us watered. For a local event check out the Moose. Their hearts are as open as their antlers are wide. Quick Tip: If your goings on are getting boring, there's a pool table and plenty of TVs to watch the Dodger game. Just tell your new bride to find someone else to remove her garter and smash cake in her face. She'll understand.”

“Went with the family on a Saturday afternoon to see and learn about unique animals. The girls (age 5) truly enjoyed their time as the tour was very informative and interactive, a lot was learned during that 45-60 tour. A variety of unique and ecotic animals are there (reptiles, birds, fish, a big cat, a fox, tarantulas, and more) along with their unique backstory.Getting there you have to slow down as you near, its a turn onto a small street into a business center where parking is shared with other businesses, buts theres sufficient space on the weekend. Small wait time as you wait for the tour guide to finish another tour and your time to arrive, but outside they gave a play area to pass the time or rest. Great staff as well, the overall experience was great and wellworth it.”

“Quick and easy drop off. I got there right at 10AM when they were opening up (I wasn't sure how long the line would be with COVID and didn't want to wait in too long of a line). I got there a little TOO early perhaps because the guy was still getting the bins out but was kind enough to let me start unloading into the ones he already had set up. In and out in under 10 minutes and the guy there was very friendly. I didn't see anyone else working with him so maybe he manages the drop-off by himself? Regards, very friendly and helpful”
