“My honey and I needed a getaway and this historic gem did not disappoint. We were greeted with freshly baked cookies and a gorgeous cozy suite that made us feel like we were world's away from the stresses of modern life. The suite was impeccable and we loved the jetted tub and the ultra comfortable bed. The owner brought a delicious breakfast to our door in the morning which was the icing on the cake of our stay. We will definitely be back and highly recommend to anyone looking for a bit of peace and tranquility and comfort ?”

“My family rented out all of the B&B cottages while we were in the area for a friend's wedding at the venue just next door, and I can't say enough good things about this place or the woman who runs it, Robin. The cottages were adorable with hand-painted scenes on the walls and beautiful antique furniture, all nestled within a beautifully landscaped cottage garden oasis. The breakfast was all homemade from scratch and so incredibly good and Robin is an wonderfully generous host. I would highly recommend this lovely B&B to anyone and encourage you to strike up a conversation with the proprietor who is a true delight.”

“What a gem! This is a sweet little stopover with the best pool in Placerville. The owners are lovely and this motel is on the quiet end of town. Prices are very reasonable. The rooms are family friendly and the owners are dog friendly. Nestled in the pines, this is a nice place to bring the kids and it is close to everything.”

“We stayed here for one night on our way to Lake Tahoe. We wanted to explore the American River area so my husband could go gold panning. The hotel is conveniently located right off the highway, and even though our room overlooked the highway, we couldn't hear any traffic noise. They have a nice pool area with a hot tub. The room was decent, with a fridge and microwave, and the bed was comfortable, but the pillows were lumpy. They serve a hot breakfast in the morning, along with typical continental fare. There were sausage links and patties, and eggs, and the sausage was actually browned on the outside, not just flaccid and gray like most hotel breakfasts. There's also a Mexican restaurant right next door, if you don't feel like driving anywhere for dinner, but it is expensive (~$30 per person).”
