I got my wedding band welded to my engagement ring and they did a great job! They were very kind and kept in touch with me when my ring was ready to be picked up. The price was super affordable and I’m really happy with my ring :)

This is a beautiful store on Main Street Placerville. I love it that it is family owned and that Justin" mother is so helpful and knowledgeable. The prices are also very fair, and they have an amazing collection of fantastic jewelry. Highly recommend!

I like to go to Ancient Gold because they've been there forever. The man is always pleasant but the woman who works there is not very friendly or customer service oriented. She's not mean but a smile would be nice.

I took a pair of Brighton earrings to this jeweler for repair. It is a nice enough brand to support a repair job. The jeweler charged me $25. The next time I went to wear them I realized he had simply glued the post back on to the earring; he didn't solder it as would have been the proper technique. I called and complained that he simply glued the post back on...he got very defensive and said I could always return them for another repair if the glue didn't hold. That's a d*** way to approach a repair if you ask me, and I should have just taken the earring to a more reputable jeweler for the proper repair. Today, unfortunately, the post again fell off, while I was running errands, and the earring got lost on the ground somewhere. I tried to back track to find it but no luck. If this repair job had been done properly (soldering) this experience wouldn't have happened. I do not recommend this jeweler for repairs, and I'm soured on him for any future purchases!!

Rude, ruder, rudest. I have been in here before with no issues, but I will never go back after the most recent visit. We went to this store to look into ordering a specific item, having bybassed many chain stores so that we could support a local business. We arrived about 45 minutes before closing so that we would not be pushing them for time. The woman owner was working alone, helping another customer, which took about 20 minutes. We waited. Then she and the other customer chit chatted over non-business for another 15 minutes, leaving us standing there even longer. Once she finally came over to "help us", she indicated it was almost closing time (still 10 minutes before closing) and she didn't have time to help us. We did not arrive late, we did not cause the delay, and we did not intend to stay past closing time. What we did intend was to be helped respectfully during their hours of operation and to not be treated like an annoyance. Our interest in supporting local business was clearly greater than her interest in her customers.

We came here looking for some wedding bands and saw all the good reviews so we thought this would be a good experience. Well we were wrong. I have never felt so uncomfortable before. We were not greeted at all and when we asked for help getting my husband’s finger sized the lady behind the counter(didn’t even gives us her name) pulled out the measuring tool, left it on the counter, and walked away. I know they are not hard to use but she could have at least assisted and guided us.We got her attention once again, told her we were looking for wedding bands and asked if she could help. She helped us look at a few for myself but when I asked questions she was not friendly whatsoever, would barely even look at me.My husband came in not sure what he was looking for in a wedding band and made that clear to her. She suggested he just try some stuff out but didn’t point us in the direction to the men’s bands. We took that as a sign that she was not interested in helping us. We literally got married this morning and just wanted to get some wedding bands. You sell jewelry, mostly rings… you see a couple walk in and don’t think to say hi or ask what they are up to?I don’t want to assume the worst but I can only think of one reason for this treatment.I would not recommend this place to anyone. We will be bringing our business to where my husband purchased my engagement ring. The rings here are stunning but I cannot support a business like this.

Local jewelry store that sizes rings. I called a few other places in town and they wanted triple what they charge here which is between $45-$65. They had my ring done in a few days too and called me to let me know. They sell some beautiful rings and jewelry here. Lots of gold nugget necklaces and gold county type of jewelry. They also carry and buy used jewelry which was pretty, and reasonably priced, beats the pawn shops for sure! Lol
