By The Book Tax \\u0026 Accounting - Joe and Courtney did an amazing job with a very complex tax returns. They are one stop shop for any kind of tax related filings and understand all aspects of business, investments, real estate (50 states which is a major plus) and personal tax filing, rules and stay up to date with all the ever changing laws. They answer all the questions and excel at pro actively strategizing for maximum tax benefits. I am extremely happy with their services and will continue to use their services for a very long time.

By the book tax accounting is a great resource for me. I've utilized their tax filing and working sessions to ensure my taxes are all in order. They're very reliable and knowledgeable. I'd highly recommend to any folks that have real estate in their portfolios and are active investors. They always provide a cover letter with very digestable advice on upcoming tax years that help optimize realizing benefits of these type of assets.

By The Book Tax & Accounting offers a great combination of tax preparation and planning services. Joseph and Courtney, a husband and wife CPA/owner team, are very knowledgeable and reliable. They are always very responsive, patient and insightful with my questions. It is definitely reassuring to always have a second CPA opinion whether it is for for implementing a new strategy or double-checking your returns before they go out. This was my first year filing with Joseph and Courtney, and I am beyond excited to have found a tax and accounting partner in them for the long term. It was a smooth process to transition strategies I had in place, and they already identified many areas we can improve on for next year's taxes during our short time working together. I especially enjoyed the summary they provided with my returns, which explained how different items affected my taxes this year, and what we can do to make it better for next year. Taxes are always confusing (and shocking!), so thank you Joseph and Courtney for being there and for helping me navigate through this!

This was our first year working with Joe and Courtney and we were extremely satisfied with our experience as well as our handsome tax return. I would recommend their services for the following reasons: 1. transparency. Living in Northern CA, I was hesitant to start with a new tax team so far away. I'm a still a little old school and was accustomed to physical visits and paper documentation with my previous team. By the Book's portal is a very user-friendly interface that made physical distance a moot point and promoted even more transparency and efficiency. That being said, they were always very willing to meet in person or via video chat as needed. 2. responsiveness. They were quick to respond to all phone calls and emails within 24-48h during tax prep season and throughout the year. No question was too trivial or too small. 3. Our tax returns included a concise and easy to understand summary that also included recommendations for the following year. We will continue to partner with By the Book and recommend them to our friends and family. Thank you, Joe and Courtney, for an awesome experience as well as for your expertise and advice!

Courtney, Joseph, and team are amazing, real estate focused CPAs. We have used them for multiple years and they have always answered all of our questions. Courtney Daron did a great job preparing our taxes for 2020, saving us about $3000. She was thorough, responsive, and very helpful. We used to do our own taxes, but we will definitely be using By the Book Tax & Accounting for the foreseeable future.

Courtney and her team are AMAZING! I had a terrible tax prep experience prior and was nervous about finding another one. Courtney was so responsive in answering my questions and providing information about the structure of their services. They finished our taxes (which were quite complicated) as promised and provided a thorough letter w/ an analysis on what they did in the returns AND recommendations on things we can put into place moving forward to reduce taxes. We are excited to continue working with Courtney and her team!

I have worked with three different tax firms (and several CPA's within one of those firms) over the past 5 years (including one local and one suggested in a group with a bunch of wealthy investors) and Joseph at By the Book Tax and Accounting is the best by far. First, it is a pleasure to work with a single CPA from start to finish. Second, he has a system to help you organize your taxes and identify areas of taxes savings.
