Great service (5 stars) reliability of the car’s condition slightly questionable (3.5 stars). I bought my 2013 VW here almost three years ago now. It’s been one of my favorite cars that I’ve owned. As others have said the process was quick and I was out of there in no time. Daniel and his partner were honest, considerate and professional with me. The service was above and beyond.That said, the check engine light came on immediately as I was driving home. I called Daniel and he gave me guidance on the car. The light went off and then returned on shortly thereafter. He personally came out to Berkeley and picked up the car and took it to his mechanic twice to fix the issue. And it was fixed….for a couple months. Then the light came back. And this would happen for the next year and a half before I took it to a VW dealership. To be fair to Daniel’s mechanic, the VW dealer initially missed diagnosed the isssue as well. Then VW got it right. The whole fuel pump system was failing and needed replacement (Daniel’s mechanic had said it was the catalytic converter— and to Daniel’s credit he paid for the replacement out of pocket, in addition to picking up the car himself a few times). Long story short, the check engine light was fixed by VW….and now is back on again!!!On balance, the car has always run great and I got a great deal on the price from Diablo Motors. And I’ve been told that VWs and in particular GTI’s have finicky check engine lights. It would just feel good to have the light fixed once and for all! (I am trading the car in shortly to a dealership for an upgrade after three years of fun riding).Overall, happy with the car and purchase (AND wish it was more throughly diagnosed from the beginning. Both are true). 4 stars!

I filled out my application online for 2012 BMW 550i and I got approved so I went to take a look at the car and within 30 min I was driving the car home without any issues. Thanks Daniel!

I would give this awesome business 1000 stars!! SUPER HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Daniel gave us an awesome deal on a beautiful preowned car. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. The car was in very clean condition, like new! Detailed inside and out!! We bought it and drove it right away 600 miles flawlessly. Runs like champ! I would definitely buy from them again and seriously highly recommend them. Love love love my car!! Thank you Diablo Valley Motors!!

No offense, but I’m baffled that there’s 5 star reviews. I wish I had an experience like those, because mine was nothing like that… at all. For one, Daniel, the one who got me through the process of the car seemed extremely rushed. It didn’t really feel like he cared about my vehicle, it felt like he just wanted to rush out and get the sale over with. He even kept using the reference “let’s finish this up then we can get you out of here.”. And he wasn’t kidding… I was in and out in under an hour, and it made me anxious because I felt as if he didn’t give me much information on the car, the terms of the sale contract, etc. He also lied about my contract and brought up GAP insurance which I would have wanted but rushed through the process and I never got the chance to talk about it. Partially Min fault for feeling anxious and pressured. But I don’t really think he cares about the people he just cares to get the sale and get us out. My car was in decent condition but it definitely wasn’t cleaned out that well at all. Idk. Just the arrogance of the way he went about the sale wasn’t delightful. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone at all.I also referred a friend there to buy a Honda and his Honda ended up coming to him smelling like cigarette smoke, not cleaned at all, and ram terribly. He claims that he does full inspections and tune ups but I highly doubt that was done on my friends car. And some of the tires were bald.3/10 experience. Go at your own risk

Purchased a car here 9-2021. Great customer service, they went above and beyond. Looked at many places and this by far was the best customer service and great price for the car. Will get another car here in the future without a doubt. Thanks Daniel for all of your help.

I bought my Ford Escape from Diablo valley motors at the end of June 2021. I was told it underwent a 27 point inspection and that it was flawless. Easily last me 300k miles. I took it to my machanic and he told me there were quite a few things wrong with it. For starters, the front tie rods were shot and the parking brake did not work. Those needed to be fixed immediately. There was also a oil leak coming from the valve cover gaskets. Due to the leak the coolant hose underneath has swelled up. All those fixes cost my $1800. The car also came very dirty in the back it seems they only cleaned the front. I’m very disappointed with the car dealer and don’t recommend anyone go here. Buyer be warned
