I loved the room my man and I stayed at. We were on the top floor and could see the ocean and pool. It had a nice balcony with 2 chairs and a table to put food or drinks on. I loved the restaurant there. They had good food and the view was romantic of the ocean and you could watch the sunset. I went there for my 1 year wedding anniversary. They have a firepit that you can sit around and they sell a s’more kit that you can buy and make at the firepit. Their is a walk way to get to the beach below the cliff but it’s alittle treacherous of your not careful and I would say you need to be in shape. The stairs are big but steep and it’s alittle slippery when wet and sandy but I loved it there and the beds are so nice that I slept very soundly. I think their temperpedic. The people that work their are very helpful and nice and they have waffle texture Robes that say spyglass so I bought one and I’ve kept it. They don’t have free breakfast so you would have to eat at the restaurant on-site. Their is a shell gas station next door that is very convenient and a shopping center across the street. It’s not a big shopping area but it has souvenirs and a deli and food. It just depends on your taste what you like. I haven’t been there since the Covid pandemic but I want to go back again some day. I went in 2020. They do have a pool and a hot tub outside surrounded partly by glass walls. We went in the hot tub more then the pool. Kids would like the pool.Rooms: Very clean, beds are very luxurious, nice tv, very relaxing.Nearby activities: Their is a beach you can get to by a stairway but just be careful and take your time going down it.Safety: It seemed safe to me. Just don’t let kids get near the cliff area because no fence is on the wall way and be careful of the fire pits that no little hands get in the firepit. They start up by a button you hold down to light the flame that goes on.Food & drinks: At the restaurant only onsite.

Room was clean no issues with the room however this not a hotel , it’s a motel.but the restaurant was substandard. Food is mediocre and at the end they will surprise you with 3% added to your bill if you pay by credit card. Like you are supposed to carry a lot of cash with you when a simple dinner cost $100 there. Go to the restaurant in the hotel next door. It’s great.

Great hotel, clean, comfortable, with sea side views. Lots of attention to small details, ie an indoor fan for air circulation and sleeping. Especially love the outdoor cliffside seating area with firepit. Made for gorgeous and relaxing oceanside sunsets while mingling with other guests. I would recommend to a friend. Happiness ?Noteworthy details: Outdoor firepit seating area, smores package. Pool and hot tub, just the right size balcony, and cute lobby house area with coffee. Easy freeway access.

Nice, quiet hotel. Located on the cliffs overlooking the ocean. Rooms were clean and well maintained. We rented a first floor room with a balcony. The balcony overlooked the ocean and was great for our morning coffee and late night drink. The front desk was helpful and prompt. A few times we called for help and they provided utensils and toiletries at no cost. The downside is minimal. Yet, we had loud upstairs neighbors. We could hear their pacing throughout the night. The other downside is normal in all hotels. Their pillows were flat and lacking firmness but that's expected from any hotel.Food & drinks: Spyglass Restaurant is located adjacent to the hotel and it provides a variety of meals decently priced.

This spot hit ALL the boxes for location, ambiance, comfort, and Oceanview WOW. We ate at the hotel restaurant twice, yummy. LOVE LOVE LOVE the firepits outside our patio was absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed visiting the restaurants' close driving distance and, of course, the Pismo Beach pier, overall a WONDERFUL PLACE TO STAY.

Great location! Awesome view from our ocean front balcony. Staff was very accommodating. Our only disappointment was the lack of air conditioning in the room. It was stuffy at night and a little hard to sleep.

The location is excellent, but the room quality was not what it used to be. Carpet looked filthy, and the furniture was beat-up. Couch with no table to place a cup of coffee. Chairs way to short for provided table. it came up to my wife's chin when she sat down. Furniture looked like it was picked up at a few garage sales.Food & drinks: Hotel restaurant is great. Good service and food quality

The room was disgusting, the floors are brown and it smells old and musty. Worst part there was no a/c so if there is a heat wave, you are screwed and won’t sleep at night due to it being hot. Would not recommend to anyone.

Remodeled motel with modern looks and fantastic views if you pay for the ocean view. Nice gas fire pits for sunset and star gazing.Rooms: Rooms are updated with modern and tasteful furniture. Nice fireplace. Would love it if they added an electric kettle for tea and a coffee maker.

Affordable ocean view rooms. Somewhat dated property with rather thin walls. You’ll be able to hear the footsteps of those in rooms on second floor if you are on the first. Bring earplugs for a good nights sleep! Overall great stay with friendly staff and an amazing oceanfront location.Rooms: Rooms could use an upgrade, especially the carpets. Overall, the room was decent and bed okay for a good nights sleep.Walkability: There’s a great oceanfront path fight in front of the hotel.

Loved this hotel. Our room was huge and clean, the pool & hot tub were great, the fire pit was great. We really enjoyed our night here. The carpet in the room could do with a deep clean/replacement though, and air conditioning in the rooms would be a bonus.
