We stayed at this property 7 days ago for approximately $1000 for 2 nights. Luxury price point for motel-like accommodations and customer service!
Let’s start with the positive: the view from the pool and lawn, the fire-pits and the easy access to the beach. The daily baked cookies are a nice touch and the ladies serving breakfast were kind and friendly.
Now onto the negative that unfortunately outweighed the positive:
1) Check-in: I spoke with 2 ladies at the front desk, both of which need to be trained in customer service and hospitality. Their flippant and dismissive attitudes made the whole check-in process unpleasant.
2) Room:
- The first room was dark, dingy and had a view of the parking lot and concrete stairs. This “oceanfront” hotel does NOT guarantee that your room will face toward the ocean or even have a glimpse of the water … so beware!
- After asking for a new room and getting an obvious annoyed attitude from the front desk lady, she gave my family a new room BUT again, it was the last unit on the top floor and this time it faced the neighboring hotel’s parking lot with a tiny glimpse of water through a tree that obstructed the partial view. The front desk ladies claimed there was no other room available but given their less than willing desire to help, it was difficult to trust their word.
- This second room had a visible clump of hair in the shower drain (photo attached), low water pressure, and no real view. This was so disappointing especially for the steep price!
3) breakfast: food was not great and limited selection.
With such a great location, this property has potential to be great if some money is invested back into the property and training staff!

I stayed at this hotel for two nights, but after just one night, I was ready to leave. The only redeeming quality of this place is its location. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.
The moment I entered the room, I was struck by how cramped it was, especially given the exorbitant price. It felt like I was paying for a premium experience but getting something closer to a glorified Motel 6 with a fresh coat of paint.
The bathroom was a disaster. The tub kept clogging, and despite multiple requests, the service staff showed up twice, only to give up after their second attempt. The washbasin had no water pressure, making it nearly impossible to even wash my face. When I raised this with the front desk, I was told it was due to “water conservation”—a ridiculous excuse for what was clearly poor maintenance. On top of that, the water was sticky, and the floors in the room felt the same— unpleasant. Also, they are giving the soap in the soap dispenser on the wash basin and in the shower and believe me it was such a hassle to get the soap and one had to so many times just to get the soap. Literally, this was never seen before.
The breakfast experience was another low point. The breakfast room was absurdly small, about the size of a bathroom. To make matters worse, they had someone serving pancakes and scrambled eggs, apparently to prevent waste, which felt cheap and controlling. The quality of the food was atrocious—I couldn’t even stomach more than a bite. The room got so crowded that there wasn’t even space to stand, let alone sit, and the outdoor tables were all occupied.
Adding to the frustration, the Jacuzzi jets were barely functional, and the heater was erratic, alternating between blasting air and shutting off unpredictably.
Overall, this stay was a complete waste of money and ruined what should have been a relaxing vacation. It felt like I was paying Hyatt or Marriott prices for Motel 6 quality. I’ll never make the mistake of staying here again. If you’re considering it, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere—don’t waste your money like I did.
Good luck to you if you want to stay here

Super nice hotel on the coast, a staircase leads directly to the beach

The only positive thing in this hotel is the location near the beach. Other than that not worth at all the 500$ per night rate.
1. Water in room very very thin. Cant even brush my teeth with it. Water flow in the bath varying depending if your neighbour is using the water or not
2. Room not sound proof at all. You hear everyone from outside as if they were in the room
3. Breakfast very very poor and lack options
4. Beach not clean. Lot of insects. Cant stay there
Long story short. Spend your money elsewhere.

Rooms are nice and clean, depending on the season might feel slightly overpriced.
Also, a seemingly never-ending flow of emails and SMS‘ trying to sell you stuff during your stay was pretty annoying.
Breakfast was the saddest thing I’ve come across in a hotel for a long time, absolutely unacceptable for the prices charged. Never seen such obvious cost-cutting and disregard of paying customers.
Don’t come for the breakfast if you’re expecting any joy.
Food & drinks: Breakfast was the saddest and most uninspired thing I’ve ever seen.

Lovely hotel. It's an active 0lace with lots of kids and movement, so if you are looking for a spa like atmosphere, this likely isn't it. Pool deck with great views. Access down to the ocean. Lots of places to sit and look at the sights. Firepits.

We recently visited Pismo to celebrate our baby's first birthday, and our stay at the SeaCrest was outstanding, just like every previous visit. Dawn handled our reservations, as well as those of my sister and brother, with exceptional care. Her dedication to excellence was evident in the birthday card from the staff, which was waiting for our daughter in our room. Ximena's warm and helpful approach added to our positive experience. On the day of the party, Heidi, a manager, stopped by to ensure we had everything we needed. The SeaCrest's staff consistently demonstrate thoughtfulness and a willingness to accommodate.

Hotel was good, beds cosy, spacious rooms and you cannot top the location. Price is ok for weekdays, but don‘t come on weekends. Breakfast is in need of improvement, should be much better for the price. Room service was not available, even though we asked for it. We had only two towels for 4 persons. All in all a good hotel, but we stayed over the weekend, so it was not worth the price we paid.

The rooms next to the elevator are an imposition. The elevator dings and the room vibrates. You can hear every conversation that takes place while waiting. A soundproof door would help. The highway is in sight. There are quiet rooms inside. The rooms with partial sea views are not. Parking space in front of the house. The staff is very friendly and tries very hard. The pool is pleasantly warm.
Food & drinks: The breakfast is manageable and everything is served in plastic.

Great place. Our room had a wonderful ocean view. There are fire Pits on the decks. Adult spa. Kids' pool. Stairs down to the beach. About 1/2 mile walk to Pismo

Had a great break here. Nice view from the hotel balcony.
Attention, book Oceansideview!
The breakfast is ok. The view of the sea makes up for the lack of choice. The rooms are well maintained and the beds are great
Rooms: Modern and equipped with a microwave
Nearby activities: Pismo Beach can be reached on foot via the beach in just 15 minutes
