The hotel itself was nice. The view was nice, the bathroom was kind of small. We had neighbors blasting music on one side one night, and smoking weed the next night. I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the beach when I could. What I didn't like is I have to do a dispute with my bank right now to get my deposit back. I didn't do anything to the room so that shouldn't be a problem. The woman said it was released back to my bank the day I checked out but I'm not sure how much of that is true. Be careful, it's kind of tricky. They don't show the deposit on the invoice either. Overall I liked it here but I'm not sure I'll be coming back.

Loved this place staff was delightful kind and helpful and we never had to drive anywhere walking distance and rode the bikes that sand castle provides

Customer service off the top is amazing. From checking in to service at the bar/eatery. The location is great and right in front of the beach with great sunset views. We went on the best time to be able to see whales in the ocean ? from the deck of the hotel.
Nearby activities: Surfing, walking on the beach, fishing on the pier.
Walkability: Restaurants, pier, shopping
Food and drinks: The hotel has a small bar with decent prices. It also has a menu to order food with some assortment of items.

This place is absolutely amazing been coming here for several years. The manager on duty she was more than helpful and went above and beyond to make my wife and eyes anniversary absolutely amazing. The beachfront rooms are absolutely to die for

Location was PERFECT walking distance to everything ?The bed was so comfortable! We slept with the slider open, hearing the waves all night was so relaxing And the view from our patio was amazing! Watching the sunset from beginning to end was a amazing experience And the staff here went above and beyond from check-in to evening drinks to housekeeping request received in minutes to easy check out

Walkability: Easy access to so many places to walk for lunch, dinner or a drink even if you have a sweet tooth
Food and drinks: Deck great drinks and good food to enjoy in room or outside with a beautiful view

Mostly clean, mold in shower. Beds were hard expected high end mattresses for the high cost of the room. Was overall a bit overpriced.
Safety: Felt safe during our stay.

It is at a very nice location and nice around lobby area.all the rooms have balconies which was great.would have been nice for vending machines and not $5 waters in room.wifi is free if you put in a email address for 3 parties.so never got to use it.at least our big group of women were kept close in rooms.

This was such a great hotel, amazing location. The staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the 3rd floor balcony with the fire pit, great for late night conversations and a bottle of wine. The fact that there are plenty of luggage carts and beach bikes for rent are such a great addition to the experience.
Walkability: It’s just at the end of the boardwalk which was great to feel like you could just pop down to the activities and nightlife but not feel like you were always in it if you didn’t want to be.

Hotel sympathique non loin de l océan et de sa jetée. Chambre à refaire. L Hôtel est bien situé près d un petit centre ville convivial. Si vous voulez vous rendre à la plage, vous pouvez avoir des serviettes de plage. La terrasse est également très agréable en début de soirée pour boire un verre ou manger des tacos en admirant le coucher du soleil.

The staff is excellent.
Rooms: The room was very clean and comfortable.
Nearby activities: The pier and beach are right out the door.
Safety: Hotel is very safe and secure.
Walkability: My wife and I like to park our vehicle and walk to all locations rather than drive when we are on vacation. Sandcastle Hotel on the Beach lives up to its name and you cannot ask for a better location.
Food and drinks: There are plenty of good restaurants and diners in Pismo except breakfast establishments. The only restaurant within walking distance that serves breakfast is "Penny's" and it is quite small and very noisy! The food was average and over priced. The owner needs to hire more staff because his employees were working hard but overwhelmed by the number of customers compared to inadequate staffing. We waited over twenty minutes before our orders were taken and about the same time before our orders served. The servers were working hard but there were too few of them for the large numbers of clientele.

We stayed here for 5 days over Labor Day and we enjoyed the stay.
The rooms are dated - but our view was really great. The staff were all very nice.
The amenities are simple and sufficient.
For the price compared to a few other hotels nearby this was a great choice for an ocean view.
