The owner is a thief. He will charge for items you not buy, add ATM fees even when paying in cash. he pretends there's a language barrier, but he's faking. The place is dirty and stinks. I hope the IRS catches up to this guy.

BOYCOTT THIS BUSINESS. Clerk was hesitant when i asked for a receipt. After reviewing receipt I noticed I had an ATM fee of $.50 when I paid cash for my items. Went back in and asked why I was charged an ATM fee when I paid cash. Clerk then acted like he didn't know english and played stupid. Stay away from this liquor store & the unnecessary ATM fee when paying CASH. Ask for a receipt & see the facial expression on clerks face. Pismo Beach City Council should investigate this business!

Waited for the cashier to attend me and he was just sitting there looking at his phone . No acknowledgement. Also expensive $4 for a pack of gum.

We love this deli and grocery. The food is fresh and there are some truly gourmet options. We usually all order a custom sandwich (Proscuitto is my go-to), and add a lovely side salad to round out the order. Make no mistake: this isn't subway. This is truly a top-of-the-line deli experience, with a dessert selection that's worth the trip alone. Lemon cheesecake, Tiramisu, the list goes on and on (actually it doesn't because it's all fresh so get there early). This place is more than sandwiches, it's fresh pasta, wonderful salads and a choice selection of wines and beverages... not to mention McConnel's ice cream! If the family can't decide what to eat, take them to DePalo's where there's something delicious for everyone!

We used DePalo quite a bit whilst staying in Monterey, everything from coffee, croissants, fruit and bolognese was served fresh and presented very well. Also every time service came with a smile.

If you want to get ripped off this would be the place I walked in to grab an ice cream and when I went to pay for it the cashier scanned it and it rang up at $5.99 he looked at me cleared the amount and physically typed in $8.99 I asked him why he did that he said that's the price I told him he's wrong I just seen him scan it and it marked $5.99 he said it was something else for that price I asked him to re scan it he did not want to he then turned his register off and said look it's not scanning. I then told him he must think I was blind to not see him turn it off I asked if he would not Mind turning it back on and scanning it that I would pay what it scanned at he said no the price is wrong and scanner not scanning right I then handed him back the ice cream and grabbed my money back since I had laid the money on the counter to pay ahead of time so if the scanner is not working why did you charge the previous customers with the scanner and the ones after I got my money back you charged them with the scanner as well. This to me is fraud and I will be sending the BBB your way since business rules are if you have more then 3 items not scanning correctly you will get fined so if this is your business get your staff in shape and have them price check items on the shelf if you feel it's marked at a lower price than what you wish to sell it for and not have such suspicious behavior to where the cashier makes up a price per item as he wishes when the customer walks up to the counter.

We were SO lucky to stumble onto this place. Visited 5 times in a 3 day stay for breakfasts and takeout lunches for picnics elsewhere. Real Italian deli specialties and much more. Great bakery. Handmade sandwiches. Lots of wine. Not cheap, but treat yourself! Most other eating in Pismo area was so so. This place stands out. And thanks Christina behind the sandwich counter!

This is a lovely market with everything you need for a picnic and more. We got sandwiches and the bread was very disappointing - very, soft and fluffy (sourdough!) or very hard (ciabatta). the salads were great.
