Awesome new surf shop in Shell Beach! Really good board selection and lots of affordable used wetsuits to choose from. They offer board and wetsuit rentals and lots of cool AmpSurf and Para Surf League merch too. The best part is the proceeds go right back into AmpSurf’s surf therapy programs for veterans and those living with disabilities. Get a cute hoodie or t-shirt and show your support ?✨

AmpSurf and the people I met shredding waves with all sorts of disabilities - from amputees to quadriplegics - inspired me to focus on my abilities and get back in the water after not surfing for over 15 years... I am a Gulf War Veteran diagnosed with PTSD, and not surfing was a symptom of my illness that AmpSurf helped me to overcome. Thank you for changing my life... I’m stoked

Surf with AmpSurf! They offer wetsuits, boards, and instruction...AmpSurf has surf instructors trained to work with people with physical and mental disabilities, as well as a crew of military veterans and friends that help out and offer encouragement. I have see their work in action, and everyone is being safe, having fun, and learning something. They truly “FOCUS ON ABILITIES”... it’s not just a catchy phrase to get donations, IT IS AmpSurf’s focus.VetSurf Fridays at the Addie St. Surfer Parking in Pismo Beach is a great opportunity for veterans and active military to use a board and wetsuit provided by AmpSurf and get a free lesson... or to just have donuts, coffee and hang out at the beach!Come be a part of the fun!Surfing is healing.

The availability and ability of volunteers to provide surfing as an adaptive sport was so important.. The volunteers and staff demonstrated a positive attitude which make for a fun day!

As a volunteer I felt so awed having their trust in me to help keep them safe, I felt so privileged to see their unfiltered joy and excitement as they surfed the wave for the first time and my ears rang with the whoops and hollers and laughter full of encouragement and happiness. Come and be a participant. Come and be a volunteer! It is such an amazing transformative experience for everyone involved.

I found this group 3 years ago. Every summer I look forward to meeting them and getting wet in the ocean. They are the nicest group of dedicated volunteers you'd ever want to meet. I highly recommend you join them at the beach to surf or volunteer. Please make a donation if you can.
