My wife and I drove especially to this store to buy gifts for people who were helping us while we were on vacation in the area. What a great store! All the pottery and other art work is local and very pretty without being kitschy. The store is busy for a good reason--excellent selection. Contrary to what other reviewers have said, this store very much DIScourages pictures--in fact they get quite angry if you try to take any. We spent a lot of money in here--it's easy to get carried away. It's too bad that one has to suffer the tourist-trap tastelessness of Pioneertown itself. If you have kids, come with a plan because there are several stores with knick-knacks--most of the children I saw running around were in tears from begging their parents for toys they didn't need. It's also extremely windy--bring layers.

Cute store for all your pottery and little cactus needs. They even encourage selfies!

Place is fun. Look out for the four legged special helpers! They are the most adorable pups who love the business!

I visited the store/studio today. So many beautiful things!!! Its several different artists...and it's quite the little Western tourist town, worth the drive out of the way. I didn't expect to buy anything but ended up getting all my Christmas presents taken care just at MazAmar... some earrings, a stunning art mug and a joshua tree t-shirt. I hope to go back for a pottery class. Really the most beautiful functional art pottery I may have ever seen.

Beautiful pottery stop open to the public and warmly inviting. Group classes on pottery art and wheel throwing. Very unique local flavor art reminiscent of local landscape and Joshua Tree National Park.

Beautiful reconstruction of a far west village. Everything seems true and in fact most of the buildings have a current use. The staff managing the area are a bit rude.

We visited in pioneetown month ago, it was really nice and we also got the ceramic class. They told us it’ll session of hour and half and we got just 1 hour, this is was annoying but we said ok. They also said that we will get update by email and that they will send us the works after 3-4 weeks. We didn’t received any Email or tracking number, and we didn’t got our works.I tried calling, sent email but no response..Really disappointing..I paid more then $300 for nothing..not recommend and very disappointedI change to 3 stars because after my review they Emailed me and they sent the items. thank you

Mazamar has gorgeous original works and pottery. Great for collecting and gift-giving. I have a pair of MazaMar chalices and I always receive a gazillion compliments when we use them.

I bought a bowl here which I use as a candy dish. It's unique and lovely. Owner was off the day I visited, but the clerk was very friendly (and was playing Ummagumma, a much underappreciated PF album).

Thomas is AMAZING. My partner and I love supporting his business and sharing his art work with our friends and families. If you ever feel the need to take a little bit of desert life and love with you or even have in your desert home in the form of art, this is it. We have purchased vases, mugs, hearts and much more. All pieces are so special and made with a tremedous amount of love.
