Update to my previous review. Service is now poor, communication is poor. I will not be returning. My car has been at this shop for over 2 weeks for a radiator, which finally, supposedly, just arrived midweek last week. I was told the car would be ready Friday. I called this Monday and they were just getting started. I have not been properly notified regarding progress. Not a happy customer.

I brought my older Ford van in for service. It wouldn't start. Almosttwo weeks later, after $1000 spent, Dennis, the shop director/director, tells me he tried to install an idle controller, but after trying three new ones, all supposedly defective, he refused to order a good one. Three in a row defective? Really? Doubtful. Then he tells me that he adjusted my old one (which he originally said was no longer working) so that, he said, it was OK now. Did he ever even take it out, or attempt to install (3) new ones? Doubtful.Clearly this is a place to avoid.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Extremely poor customer service.Absolutely not following through with promises made. Completely wasting customers time by these broken promises for work completion. Poor representation !

I've gone to this place for years. Great mechanics. Unfortunately the front desk (Mike and Carlos) delivers a lot of lip service with zero quality. Actions speak louder than words. Now, my actions will be to find another service center. Goodbye, Dennis ?

We moved this way from Florida, so we had to have 3 vehicles smogged. 2 are 1998, and it was directly after a 3k mile move. Expected them to "fail" and be told they needed this that and the other done. Passed right off. Then the camper van brakes failed twice. Again, expected major repairs. Again, nope. They throughly checked it. Need brake bleed and brake fluid flush. I'm impressed and won't go to anyone else!!!!!

Michael who works the front desk is the biggest piece of shit on the face of the planet. Every time I call he says the repair is going to be done by the next day, and when I call back the next day he says it's not done but it will be done by next day. This happened 3 or 4 times before finally I told him that my deadline to submit my smog certificate to the DMV was the next day and he replied by saying "you have a deadline, not me" and hung up on me. When I come to pick up the car he starts to argue with me and refuses to accept payment for the work and tells me I can't pick up the car, and instead he calls the sheriff on me and tells them I'm trespassing. When the sheriff shows up he wasn't having it and ordered Michael to allow us to pick up the car. To top it all off this clown has a sign on his desk that says "be nice or go away". Maybe Michael should be nice or go away because all he's doing for this business is creating a giant liability.

My jeep wouldn't start, so I had it towed to the nearest shop. My neighbors warned me about being a rip off, but I didn't heed their warning. Had it for a week and charged me a grand without fixing anything. Said he had no idea why it couldn't start.

Terrible experience! Went in for a smog and the monitors where not set, they ran it anyway without telling me. Also I needed a "star" certified smog which they do not provide services for they would not have been able to pass it anyway but still ran it and charged me!Went to another shop and they told me all this up front no charge!! When confronting amador automotive they where completely rude and would not own up to there end of it! I will never use them again !Other shops offer 2 weeks after a failed smog to get it fixed, these guys charge $75 everytime ! Rip off!
