If you go to CVS first, you will rate this place 5 stars. Let's face it there are two competitors in this space. CVS relies on self check out to run the business and therefore hires the least qualified employees. Walgreens does it right and the girl that helped me today at the photo line was awesome, so quick and professional.

I scheduled a COVID test for this location. Waited in an extremely long line. Then noticed that the gate was down on the pharmacy window. By the time it opened I had been in line for about twenty minutes. I called the pharmacy to see what was taking so long and was told everyone was in line for a COVID test and that they would get to me when they could. That it takes awhile to process the paperwork. I think Walgreens should stick to dispensing medication, due to their inefficiency in doing COVID tests. You have cars of people who don't feel well waiting for over an hour to take a one minute COVID test. What is the point in filling out the questionnaire online ahead of the visit???? What is the point in scheduling a visit?? Or why even schedule an appointment . This is a terrible patient experience and I will never come back here again.

I had a good experience 2-3 weeks ago. A cashier helped me get a 50% discount on my purchase.Then I had my cat vet send them a prescription. They were supposed to confirm to me when it was ready for Will Call. No call so I phoned. I was on hold for 1.25 hours & they didn't answer. My wife went there while I on endless hold. She said a sign said the pharmacy is closed.I'm done with them.

Mind you the store is fine my complaint is with the pharmacy.Absolutely the worst customer service and they never pick up phone like ever. They would never have medicine ready even when the doctor sends in the information to be filled immediately even though it takes them over a week to refill. Most of them know pick up is ever month and has been for the last 10+ years. They never tell the truth when medicine will be ready even when you get a call saying it is sometimes it is not. And some of the staff are extremely rude. I found out recently that there are less people answering the phone. The last straw with my boyfriend using this pharmacy was them losing my boyfriend's information paperwork and then making it absolutely impossible for him to reschedule a new appointment to get his booster Covid vaccine and because of that he contracted Covid over the holidays. Please think twice before coming here. If you want to go to a good Walgreens and don't mind a drive, go to the one in El Sobronte they are better and more informed.

Got falsely accused of shoplifting of beer while I was trying to buy some energy drinks. The big lady with the glasses is rude and disorganized and the other lady with the bun. Poor customer service and also lack of good quality drinks. Alongside with me getting kicked out due to poor customer service and employees.It's like these two have a power trip because they work at this establishment.

Seriously, a pharmacy that is open M-F 9-6. closed on weekends and during the middle of the day for lunch. Only 1-2 people working.There is supply Is very low but when you do find something you get to play hide and seek with the staff.

Inefficiency leads to long line of customers clustered around the corner of the store....the 3 windows are staffed by a single clerk who serves both prescription drop off and pick up and vaccine check in. There were 3 additional people in the pharmacy, one manning the drive through, a pharmacist working on the prescription and another clerk stocking the bins.My vaccine appointment was at noon and I filled out the necessary paperwork online at the Walgreens website. At 12:15, I was told to fill out the same form twice, once for each vaccine. I was told at 12:30 they cannot give me my Covid booster because their vaccine has expired. When I asked my appointment to be transferred, they told me they would get the vaccine. When I told them I can come back later in the afternoon or on my off day next week, they promised me a call when they get the vaccine.About 1 hr. after I was told to come back, I received my shots, after standing in line to check in again and waiting for a pharmacist to administer the vaccine. There are 3 more people waiting, presumably waiting for vaccines or for prescription pick up.Seems like CVS, Walgreens and Rite-Aid have their unique inefficiencies and drawbacks.

If you could physically manifest Hell on earth then it would be the Walgreens in Pinole California and I checked carefully that this was the only Walgreens in Pinole so I don't misguide anyone. I am not sure why I'm even leaving this due to the fact that there are more 1 star and vehemently negative reviews about this place than there are candy bars on Halloween!!!!!!I have dealt with some unbelievable levels of ineptitude, incompetence and indifference from companies like Wells Fargo, Equifax and everyone's favorite PG&E! but for a small dink town in a dump strip mall in Nor Cal to send you to the brink of insanity, that is confirming and solidifying every inauspicious review!!! Without getting into a long diatribe which I have already done a little all I can advise and relate to you is that if you need a pharmacy for your prescriptions, if you need to get a Covid, Flu, Shingles, T-Dap, Cholera or Japanese Encephalitis (yeah seriously) then save yourselves from a fate worse than contracting any of those and find another pharmacy, no matter how inconvenient, troublesome or difficult because at the end of the day you will still spend less time driving to one 20-30 miles away then sitting in this pit of despair.

Someone said "worst pharmacy" in the East Bay. I agree 100%. Just spent an hour on hold, one person is ahead of you. They called me to come pick up an Rx, was there late afternoon the next day; they had already sent it back. Lied to me about the first time they called me. Rude, on top of everything else.

This review is for the drive thru COVID testing. Arrived at 2:55 and drove around due to some questionable signage. The booth is where you want to be at even if it looks closed. Hit the call button at 3:00. They asked for me to wait. Finally someone opened the blinds at 3:12 and told me my paperwork was printing. 3:21, got some instructions and that the test was still being setup. 3:23 got swab, finished and submitted. Additional bonus is there is a ton of stuff flying around (dandelion?). Advice - turn off your car if you come here, because you will be idling for quite a long time. Also, despite the sign asking about needing ID, insurance, and confirmation number, I didn't need any of that - just time of appointment and name. If I don't update this review, assume that I actually got a test result from this ordeal.

A few times now I have ordered prescription refills online. When I place the order, it tells me when the prescriptions will ready. In this case I had two email responses stating that my prescriptions would be ready. I go to the drive through and it's closed with no explanation. I go inside and ask for my two prescriptions. The woman tells me they don't have any orders for me. I asked if they even got my order and they tell me know. I started to get upset and I let the Woman know that this has happened before. She basically told me that ordering refills online doesn't work. I got aa little upset and after realizing that she had nothing to do with this, I apologized to her. I told how this was such a huge waste of time. I asked if there was any other way to find out if my prescriptions were done other than waiting on hold for thirty minutes. She explained that there were only the two of them that work there every day. Two people to handle all those prescriptions. I went to this location after having terrible experiences at the San Pablo Dam Road location but this one is just as bad. I don't know about you but I am getting a little sick and tired of receiving lousy service and paying outrageous prices for items in their store. I guess I'll have to give CVS a try. I don't recommend this store at all.

The pharmacy is unbelievable! I called 3 separate times in a 24 hr time span, waiting for them to answer the phone! The recording kept saying two callers ahead 25 minutes later it disconnected! Then again same thing! I don't understand how a supposed great pharmacy can do this to people in need of their medications! They have lines if you go in and lines if you go through the drive through! Last night I called and the same thing after 25 minutes bam! Hang up again! This pharmacy really needs to take notice of how they operate! They should think about hiring someone to take calls if they can't!

I have to come here monthly to pick up prescriptions and the pharmacy is always understaffed (and this was true before Covid). It takes at least 30 mins of waiting in line to pick up a prescription. It's not unusual to see one person taking care of both drive up and inside customers. I absolutely cannot stand coming here and have to practically rearrange my schedule to pick up a script. On top of that, when my dr office calls a prescription in, they are often left on hold for 30 mins or more. Not a lot of options in Pinole otherwise I would go elsewhere.

This has to be the worst Walgreens, I mean customer service does not exist. They need to think about raising wages and hiring quality people because the staff does not care. I keep getting emails that my photo order is ready and drive there and in fact it's not ready. It happened more than once. I complain and they give me attitude back, I'm just like really at least apologize and make it right with the customer. No, they don't care.

When we walked in the cashier greeted us! This makes my day every time. There also were workers on the floor helping us. I had never been in their Walgreen it meet our expectations and more. We had a very pleasant shopping experience lots of stocking stuffers. Harry Potter blankets. Plus everything I needed to finish up my Christmas shopping. Extra gifts at the right prices! Plus excellent customer service. We will return even tho we live in east Oakland thank you all.
