“Was disappointed in a dealership in Concord, I've used for a time for services. Lately, the last few times I was at that dealership; the service representatives there tried to sell me services and products I did not need and the prices for these alleged services and products, were shocking, to say the least! A good friend referred me to Norcal Tire and Auto Services and Collision in Vallejo ... I decided to go there and I was treated with the upmost respect and consideration. I even got a good deal on a set of tires, I needed so badly! What's more they topped off all the fluids my car needed as they gave my car a checkup on everything the dealership, I had gone to before, tried to sell me on. Found out, I didn't need those services. My SUV is only 5 years old! Anyway, from now on, I'll be going to Norcal Tire, Auto Servises and Collision! “Got quoted $1300 for a leaking radiator at another mechanic, I brought it to Ruben. He lifted the car up to personally show me that there was no leak and that they had lied to me, he then offered to do the job for $200. He did it as well as some other work for a 100,000 mile tuneup and the car has been running wonderfully, work was honest and priced very fair. Hard to find a good honest mechanic but look no further than B A auto. Brought my truck in after for a list of repairs and everything was done perfectly including special requests. Grateful for the good work and I would recommend to anyone in need of auto work in the area.”

“I took my car in for a check engine light and rough idle. John checked the code while I was there, and said he'd call. I Googled the code and saw it could be a dozen different problems. John scoped the engine, checked compression and started with the obvious fixes. He called to brief me and authorize his plan. He fixed the problem, didn't sell me anything he (or I) didn't need, and scoped the engine again to verify his fix. His price was fair, he worked promptly and communicated well. I was both pleased and satisfied with his work.”
“My 1985 Suburban' transmission blew up after I took it to a shop in SF for a reseal (they couldn't figure out how to reconnect the central diff locker...).
So I did quite a bit of research and asking around before taking my truck to Ray.
It's an owner-operated shop (as in the owner gets his hands dirty as opposed to seating at a desk all day), and that makes all the difference when the owner knows his stuff and has high standards.
There were a number of quirks in my 40 years old truck, but Ray stuck to it until he got it back on the road.
It's been 2 years and I added 10k miles since then.”

“Excellent service with a friendly and efficient staff. Price is also very reasonable and they are honest. I requested my tires be rotated. When it came time to pay it was explained to me that the tires did not need to be rotated so they deducted $60 off me bill. Never in my life did a repair shop ever lower my bill. Also, they provide uber to and from the shop. I will be using Letcher from now on.”
