I’ve been shopping at the Pinole Safeway since the 80s and I stopped shopping here because the meat department is very inconsistent,last few weeks this place was looking better, the meat was nice fresh and full,and the deli actually had bacon and sausage! I love cooking for my grandchildren but today the meat department was in rough shape they had no ribeyes at all ,I asked the lady that works in the meat department where are the ribeyes , she said “ I’m by myself” and walked away with no solution or anything,what ever happened to customer service? Why does every employee act rude in this store ? Worst Safeway in the Bay Area ,Hercules is nice I’d rather go to Hercules for better customer service,I hope they get it together me and my neighbors has had enough

Don’t get any of sandwiches or meats from here , they like to spit in peoples food . I opened up my sandwich and found some gooey stuff in the food that either looks like spit or semen had to get my money back and the worker was laughing like it was funny. I will be calling corporate tomorrow.

I work for a non-profit that performs litter abatement on our highways. Our crews meet up daily for a pit-stop at the Safeway in Walnut Creek, and we typically take our breaks and lunches at one of the many Safeways in Contra Costa County, including Concord, Orinda, and Pleasant Hill.
We work hard, and sometimes our work is dangerous. We really appreciate the Safeway chain because the stores are so convenient, there are always great deals for members, and the Starbucks kiosks are so handy for when we're out of energy and in need of a boost later in the day.
I've never had a bad experience at Safeway.

Only one register open the cashier kyle was great at moving the line along gracefully. The back frdge the holds the simply lemonade smells bad like mold

Shopping at this Safeway is incredibly frustrating. They are constantly advertising "low" prices, but at the same time they are raising prices on many things. For example the cost of organic broccoli went up more than 14% just last week. They are constantly running out of the milk that would like I buy there -- at least half the time I go to this store they are out of their own brand of organic whole milk. Another issue is the fact that they often hide the items that they put on sale. For example the Zico brand of coconut water in the 500ml size was on sale for $2; the regular price was $3. When I went to the store I could not find this item anywhere -- it was not on the shelf with all of the other coconut water. When I asked an employee where I might find it they had no idea where it was. I found it on a later visit literally on the other side of the store near the organic produce. The only reason I gave this store 2 stars instead of 1 is because they do have a decent smartphone app.

Donovan is always so helpful. I use curbside pickup weekly. Just check for substitutions. There are almost always one or two things they are out of.

An older and smaller Safeway, we've stopped by a few times when we either found ourselves in Pinole, or were just passing through. It's also significantly quieter than any of the other Safeway's we typically visit, so parking here is plentiful and has never been an issue. Although their overall selection is a bit less than the larger, newer Safeway's, all of the associates whom we interacted with were pretty friendly and helpful. No self-checkout here, but we also never encountered long lines.

To be honest I like Safeway a lot lower prices than luckys but this time the tried to sell bad meat and hide it under a lot of seasoning , please wash it off before cooking it cause under the seasoning is brown meat , this was bought 2 days ago in the 4 for $20 area

FOOD POISONING IN BAKERY!! I got a donut that are made there and another pastry and both gave me food poisoning. Bad area and bad food. Do not shop here.
