This organization claims to embrace the true teaching of Nichiren Daishonin yet, they slander- destroy property and has caused harm to many people!They spread false information and demand obedience to the priest providing funding to them.This is not the intention of Nichiren Daishonin; the teachings teach how to practice and free oneself of suffering. It does NOT state you can only achieve this by a priest.This nst states otherwise.Please avoid!

This organization claims to embrace the true teaching of Nichiren Daishonin yet, they slander; destroy property and has caused harm to many people and more despicable acts. They spread false information while demanding obedience to the priest IF you want to become happy. They promote that its only through their approval one will become happy. I have heard them say specifically they activate the mandala that members receive; and only through this service one will gain benefit. They claim that their mandala is the only true one; but it needs to be activated by a priest.. ( with money of course) They expect obedient financial support. This is NOT Nichiren Daishonin's Philosophy based on the Lotus Sutra. Which is what they claim to uphold. The teachings of Nichiren, based on the Lotus Sutra empower people to Free themselves of the sufferings we encounter through a Practice NOT being obedient to ANY priest!Nichiren warns to AVOID at all costs this type of behavior!Nichiren teaches to Rely on the Law/ teachings- NOT the person of distorted views.Please avoid this organization- there are many ways to become happy; one- is learning the truth and not being swayed by anyone.

Come to this Temple and learn the most powerful tool for overcoming anxiety and depression. Whenever I chant the "Daimoku" (Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo) I instantly experience a calmer state (some may call it a 'higher vibration' or improved life condition) which stays with me for prolonged periods. It's an honest practice with wonderful people and compassionate priests who are patient and kind. They will honestly answer any question you may have about...anything! Come check it out!

We had a beautiful ceremony today! I have been practicing for a year and a half and have been able to work on some of my obstacles through chanting :)
Edited - it is now 3.5 years since I have been practicing and I am still amazed every day. ❤️

I go to this beautiful temple to renew and strengthen my unshakable happiness, compassion, and gratitude for my life. Amazing people, compassionate priest, transformative practice! In this particular time of abundant confusion, lies, anger, and greediness we, as a society, need this true Buddhism.

I was born and raised in Tulsa Ok. My mother and father demanded that I attend church. So Sunday mornings were spent attending St. Luke Baptist Church and singing in the choir. My experience with christianity was such that I had questions no one in church could answer, not the pastor, not Rev. Oral Roberts, not Rev. Billy Graham..., no one. So upon finishing high school, I sought truth in my own way by reading, pondering and studying Astrology, Spirituality, Occult-Sciences, Meditation, Hinduism, Buddhism, Zen Buddhism, other practices, religions..., etc. I did find truth in many of these methods. Yes, even Christianity has some truth embedded therein...
But it was not until a student/friend of mine invited me to his home where I was introduced to "True Buddhism" and my life changed profoundly for the better. I joined Nichiren Shoshu in May of 2011 and found that many of the questions I had for years were finally answered, and I believe I found more truth in this Buddhism than anything I've experienced or studied.
I enthusiastically recommend this Buddhist practice to anyone seeking to better one's life condition, examine profound concepts of life's truths, explore the wonderment of the mystic law of the universe, and tapped into what many before us have already learned... That Buddhism is the Truth of The Universe, and that "True Buddhism" is the correct Buddhist Practice for our present time as predicted by the founder of Buddhism, Shakyamuni Buddha, or Gautama, or his given name Siddhartha, Prince of India many years ago. This religion is true and encapsulates the law of Cause & Effect, The Universal Mystic Law.

I came here from out of town to photograph landmarks of the northwest. I contacted someone via phone after arriving and seeing the door locked. I let the person know my intentions and they simply told me "we don't do that".

Very friendly people. I felt welcomed the moment I walked in the temple. A little hard to find. Turn left in the driveway that says Bay Retirement then make immediate right but continue to the back of the Retirement home, then you will see the temple.

This review is for both Nichiren Shoshu Buddhism and its temple in extension. If you are looking for true Buddhism, this is it. For me, this Buddhism isn't just the true Buddhism but the truth about life and this Universe in general. I have been looking for answers in different religions, Christian, Catholic, and many other Buddhism. However, Nichiren Shoshu is the only one religion that is true, no paradox, and never disappoints when it comes to its teaching.
It does not mean of course, my life is all dainty and happy after knowing this Buddhism. On the other hand, I will say there are more challenges and more problems arising. However, this Buddhism really help me see the truth and be more brave. After being a member for 10 days and more, my life isn't without challenges but I know in my heart for sure, this is it, the true and only religion.
If you have questions about life that need to be answered, come and talk to the priest and members here. The priest is very kind and open to discuss everything he knows about this Buddhism.
