Dodge Ridge Sport Shop offers a welcoming and laid-back experience for snow sports enthusiasts. Located close to the Bay Area, it is often less crowded than larger resorts in Tahoe, making it an appealing choice for families and beginners. The one-day lift tickets are reasonably priced, with costs ranging from $90 to $110 for adults, while youth tickets are available for $39. The resort features well-groomed snow and a variety of runs suitable for different skill levels, although it is noted that the mountain is small and offers limited expert terrain. Visitors appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, as well as clean facilities. The lodge provides a decent selection of food and drink, with highlights including a soup counter and options for various dietary preferences. However, some guests have mentioned slower lift operations and rental services, suggesting that bringing personal equipment might be advantageous. The drive to Dodge Ridge is straightforward and scenic, often avoiding heavy traffic, which adds to its appeal. With its charming atmosphere, friendly service, and good value, Dodge Ridge Sport Shop is a great option for those looking for a more relaxed ski experience. Overall, it is a place where visitors can enjoy a day of skiing or snowboarding, complemented by a pleasant environment and satisfying food options.
I always make the 2.5 hour drive from my house in the snow and for bike season. Bathrooms are always clean. Friendly staff. I bring my 5 year old with me and she loves this place. Wish it was closer to home

Came here for some family snow fun. Did some skiing and snow boarding. Got here early, beat the rush. A lot of fun, not as crowded as Tahoe, and only 2 1/2 hours from the Bay Area. We stayed in the area for the week, but could come here for just a day trip.

Love the chili fries in the Creekside Lodge! I'd drive up just to eat that pile of pure love!
