Volcano requires a land line in order to provide internet service. They charge a premium for high speed internet. They charge a premium for the long distance phone service. The cost of cable TV far exceeds the satellite competitors. The dollar signs spin off the chart. Verizon internet with satellite or streaming TV service saves a lot each month. We fired Volcano.

Super expensive and spotty speeds.

I'd give zero stars. This is literally the worst internet company I have ever dealt with. They try to charge people for supposed unreturned equipment, from 10+ years ago, after apparently sending it to collections, which is illegal.. and don't offer proof of their arbitrary charges..Also to mention, they force you to have a phone line to have the Internet and then charge you for it!We're in 2023, the PAPER application is really outdated and should be more streamlined. The whole process takes entirely too long.Volcano has a ridiculous monopoly on some areas in the county, which makes it virtually impossible to get affordable, reliable, normal Internet access.I wouldn't have even bothered talking to them if they weren't literally the ONLY OPTION.

If zero stars were an option, I'd give zero or even a negative number. I check my upload and download speeds every day and at best they provide 10gigs. I am being charged for 50gigs. When I call to complain, they say it is my fault because I must be using too many devices at once. Nope! it measures at 10gigs even when only using a desktop no tv's, no phones or any other devices. So that is an B.S. excuse. I will bring a suit against them soon, if anyone would like to join me, let me know.

hands down the worst internet service ive ever had in my entire life.. a volcano guy came out to "upgrade" us about a year ago and since then its been the worst ive ever had and even worse than the internet I had 20 years ago.. the internet goes down multiple times a day and I have to reset the network settings on my devices.. it once happened half a dozen times in a single morning.. ive never seen internet this bad.. it reminds me of dial up in the 90s.. if you read their reviews this is clearly a consistent issue and not an isolated case..

We have had Volcano Communications Group for many years and have never had any problems or issues with them. Great services.

The incompetence of this company is truly staggering. It is a mystery beyond words how they are still in business. It's like stepping back in time decades with the paperwork you have to fill out, literally a dozen forms or more, much of it redundant. Ask them why we still have to pay for a telephone when they have upgraded form DSL to fiber. You'll get a different answer each time and none of them make sense. I switched the service from my Mother's name to mine. I'm the home owner. Months later my mother is still getting the statement, in Florida! Their customer service is truly horrendous, so be prepared. I've called three times to get this resolved, explaining that over 4 months now I still haven't gotten a statement. They've insisted every time that it was mailed to my bay area address, as if I'm lying to them. Why would I be taking all the time and hassle, multiple times, to tell a fib. I'm now on the waitlist for Starlink. These people have no idea. The entire region is ready to abandon their service as soon as there is a reasonable alternative, and it has pretty much arrived.

Very happy with our phone & internet service as well as the exceptional customer service I get whenever I call. The tech that came out to set up our internet was professional and very helpful, as was everyone else I've worked with. The sign up process was easy peasy, and since I called while we were still in escrow, I was able to get my installation the day of closing. We're able to stream on multiple devices, which is really nice too! When looking at new homes, we only looked kn areas that we knew had volcano service because they're so easy to work with. Very happy and will be a lifetime customer. :)

I have been using the service for a year now and I am quite happy. Not perfect, but things have gone well for me. Internet is reliable where I live and I can work from home with no issues. Very expensive though and they force you to pay for telephone services as well.

Heads up: check out Verizon broadband like another reviewer said. I’m getting 50 mbps and it’s $40 a month unlimited. Volcano wanted to charge me $30 for a useless landline phone and an additional $97 for 50 mbps.

Very slow internet. I'm paying for the top tier package but getting the low tiered speeds. Will be switching to starlink very soon

I had the unfortunate experience of using the Volcano hotspot at lake Pardee recently and its the slowest I have used in the last decade. I will attach a picture of the stats because you would think i made this up if I just told you the actual speeds lol..
