I say without exaggeration I received perhaps my favorite haircut ever from Denisse. She really listened to my preferences: movement, low to no maintenance, and something that would be light and soft (I dislike choppy layers). Denisse gave me a cut that was natural and simple, and just beautiful. The only complaint I have is the scheduling site had an outdated availability, so I booked a time when she was already committed. She was busy helping another client but was still willing to accommodate me.

Kristen is an amazing colorist and stylist. She is great at blondes and achieving the looks/cuts I've brought in from inspiration photos. She's so good that even though I live in LA, I try to make appointments with her when I come to the Bay Area!

I've been going to Kristen B. for over 10 years, and going to her is my favorite self-care date. She always gets it right and listens to the customer - I think my first hair cut request was a half shave and undercut before? that was a thing. I promise she made it look great. =) And, importantly, she KNOWS color. Bless her for fixing my past do-it-myself hair color (thank you Shelter in Place).

Shine is wonderful. It's a smaller location, only a few stylists, which is great. Call if you're interested in outside hair cuts. They are located in a smaller space allows which oddly enough allows for better social distancing. There is usually only one other client at the same time. Scheduling is a breeze through schedulicity. I see Kristin, and cannot recommend her enough. Pricing is comparable if not slightly less than other stylists in the area. All her prices are available through schedulicity.

Kristen Brill is the only human I really trust with my hair color. In my wilder days, and on one of my first appointments with her, I requested that she shave half my head, and she did so willingly and stylishly. So, she listens to her customers. I've used her since 2011, and I highly recommend.

Cynthia- she is the best. I have been seeing her for years. She always cuts my hair exactly how I want it. About 5 years ago I made the mistake of seeing another stylist at a different salon because Cynthia was booked up and I needed a haircut for an event. Made the biggest mistake, that hairstylist messed my hair up. After that I never went to anybody else. Love you Cynthia!

I love Ildi at Shine. I was referred to her about 6 months ago by a good friend who also loves Ildi's work. I've had multiple haircuts, highlights and lowlights. She has great recommendations and builds upon my requests with a fabulous result. Highly recommend!

Faithfully going to Cynthia for haircuts & coloring for about a decade now. She knows exactly what I’m asking for every time. I like edgy hairstyles & she can always make it happen! Shine Studio’s staff is always friendly to everyone who comes in. The feeling is upbeat & fun there.

This is an updated review. I'm STILL, six years later, using Kristen B. at Shine the Hair, so yeah, this speaks volumes. Still the only person I trust with my hair color, whether it's an ombre, high/lowlights, or another dye.
