This is the worst bank I have ever encountered. I've been here for 40 minutes trying to open and then close my safe deposit box. There are only two workers here and they are slower than molasses and they don't know what they are doing. Do not patronize this bank.

Beware of Citibank! Once the top bank, Citibank is now a dinosaur struggling to reinvent itself. In it's desperation for deposits, it's making constant offers for new accounts that it doesn't have the capacity to open up. While the staff might appear friendly, they don't tell you the many time consuming issues with getting basic services (e.g., wrong routing number on app which creates big problems for your direct deposits and Paypal, when/how to get business debit card needed for most services, and how to order business checks). Their apps are outdated and not user friendly - unlike other banks, you have to use a separate app to link and make payments between business and personal accounts. After you open an account, good luck getting a timely response from the branch staff if you need help with your account, and the call centers are basically useless and take forever to reach a human. I would not have opened accounts with Citibank had I known all of their problems. I recommend using another bank.

What a breath of fresh air. Personal service with a bank manager who greets you and shakes your hand. I had to transfer a safe deposit box from El Cerrito which was downsizing. Piedmont was great. The teller and the manager helped us and personally guided us to the new box. I had documents and valuables and was a bit apprehensive. There were NO ISSUES. We completed the paperwork and got our keys. We set up the automatic deduction from my account. Easy-Peasy. Thank you so much. Back-in-the day, we talked about my Girls Scout cookies and the tellers were very interested. It is a community bank. Do not let the Nay-Sayers deter you. I do miss the Saturday hours that were reduced during COVID. Still a friend place and personalized service. Who does that these days!!??

Blanca Hernandez was recently promoted to Branch Manager at this location. For years she was in Castro Valley and then various other branches on a temporary basis. I have followed her wherever she has been assigned. Her knowledge is vast and her customer service is exceptional. We are lucky to have her assigned to Piedmont (hopefully for a very long time!). I'm sure you also would be very pleased with her banking relationship whether it be personal or business.

Went to see about a loan. I met with 2 men from this bank. They told me I was old at age 56. That they knew of a woman 57, that had just died and that I should not bother getting a loan. Citibank in Piedmont is cruel!

If you are a Citibank customer keep an eye on your account, especially if you use Zelle to transfer money. Due to their error, Citibank/Zelle "failed" a transfer and didn't notify either me or the sender. Then, after they took the funds back (that had deposited the day before), they decided I would be overdrawn as well. As of this moment, they claimed they returned the money to the sender, which they have not. Their "resolution" was to suggest the sender send the money AGAIN, so they can take the entire thing to cover the overdraft that wouldn't have happened if they hadn't taken the money!! They said they're having issues with other customers as well, so if you use Citibank, check your account. This is outrageous!!

Normally my favorite Branch. 2 stars because of the current horrible, disrepectful, unfriendly, and demeaning branch manager. So sad.
