Don't bother making an appointment with Nara because she won't honor it. Made an appointment on 2-23 for a lash tint at 4:30 pm on 3-15. Late in the afternoon 3-14 she texted me to see if I could come in the morning instead. It was last minute but I managed to rearrange my entire day's schedule to accommodate her and agreed upon a 10 am appointment. Then at 8:30 am same day she texted me to say she had to move it to 11 am. NOT ACCEPTABLE. I had arranged a sitter and moved my work schedule around. Now I will go on my vacation without my lashes tinted, not a big deal, but still. Very frustrated with the complete lack of customer service provided by this establishment and needless to say I won't use them for any other service in the future.

I love my haircut, Quynn. I've lived in the Bay Area for 10 years now and was always so disappointed with any cut i have gotten previously. It seemed no one in the Bay Area that I have gone to knew how to cut longer layers for thick, fine hair. You did an amazing job and I have finally found the hairdresser I have been trying to find! Thank you for knowing how to texturize and cut my hair. I'll happily be back. Even if I live over an hours drive away! You are totally worth it. Quynn is not pushy, she suggests things, but works great with what you want and need. I really am so happy I found you!

Quynn is simply the best hairdresser I have ever had! I have thick longish hair and it's very curly, but I prefer it be smoothed out, and she does a great job. Previously hairdressers left my hair a bit wet and then I had to go home and continue blow drying. Besides that, Quynn is a sweet person and gave me this haircut today. She is also a master colorist.

Had a wonderful facial with Nara this week! I loved all the tools she used, from gua sha to hydra-facial. I left totally glowing and so relaxed! I've been going to Avalon salon since I had moved into the area 15 years ago. Quynn is awesome and funny. She's great at what she does and always make me feel beautiful when I leave her salon. She also charges very reasonable prices. (It's an awesome deal for her quality of work!!) When my 10 y.o. son was old enough, he became a client as well!! He's super picky about his hairstyle. So you know Quynn is good if he comes back!

Quynn is a very disturbed human being. She loves to gossip about everybody and also about her problems that she has with her husband. I feel very sorry for him. This place is a very toxic environment. she has a complex about the way she looks… It’s all about whats in your pocket. If you have money, she will service you. If not, she’ll just throw you to someone and else to do, and there’s a little old lady that comes to her salon once a week she take advantage of her because this lady is very wealthy. She’s very rude and disrespectful to this lady. WARNING!!!! WARNING!!! Don’t go to this TOXIC!!!!!place of a Hair Salon.

Had an amazing facial done a month ago by Nara and left the salon feeling rejuvenated! Nara did a fantastic job with removing sun spots and hydrating my skin. Very relaxing experience overall, reasonably priced and one of the best in Oakland Hills. Thank you Nara!

Eyebrow tint by Nara. Nara is wonderful, sweet and knows what she is doing. My blonde eyebrows are always given the perfect tint. And she adds a little extra shaping, without over doing anything. I plan to go back with her on a regular basis and have been for many months!

This is the best hair salon in the Bay Area! Quynn gives amazing haircuts -- they compliment your facial features, are stylish, and long lasting. My family and I never received so many compliments on our hair until we started going to Avalon Salon. Amy also gives amazing pedicures. Would highly recommend Avalon Salon!
