Had to bring my elderly mother here to take care of her financial affairs. Elizabeth was nothing but kind and helpful. My mother has dementia and is very uncomfortable with a lot of people but she felt at ease with Elizabeth. We were able to close mom's account and open another. She really went above and beyond to help us. This is very rare in such a busy corporate world where no one seems to have the time. Thank you for your incredible customer service!

I've been banking here for about ten years and couldn't be happier. Both Petaluma branches are great and the long term employed like Travis and Barbara are not only super friendly, they're also super helpful. If you're looking to switch to a more localized, small bank, I highly recommend!

Check out my other reviews, I'm no whiner, BUT PLEASE BEWARE! No joke, over the last 18 (EIGHTEEN) months, I have tried to set-up an online bank account to access MY money at Westamerica Bank. I've talked to J*cob, Br*ndon, *lysa, D*vid and Ann*, just to name a few. I've talked to the Branch in Petaluma, the IT Team, the Corporate Receptionist. Sadly, most of the employees I have spoken to don't seem motivated to take ownership or empathize. This can be illustrated in that I have received ZERO follow-up, literally ZERO by any employee of the bank to rectify the situation. The two seemingly somewhat awake employees I have encountered have admitted the bank is slow to modernize, especially from a technology standpoint. Breaking news, Westamerica, money is electronic now, remember Y2K TWENTY YEARS AGO!! The answer to everything seems to be, "Come into the branch," and that worked pre-Covid, but even pre-Covid I didn't have limitless free time to help them with their logistics. Just got off yet another call and set-up my account from scratch for the FORTH time ... good news, only a 48 hour WAIT to see if it worked ... again, again, again. As soon as I have access, all that money is going to a different bank. Or maybe a coffee can or under a mattress, where I actually have access to it. Oh, and I did I mention they charge me for the four measly paper statements they send a year ... and guess why they are paper? BECAUSE I CAN'T GET THEM TO GIVE ME AN ELECTRONIC ACCOUNT! Adios Westamerica Bank, your customer service, both in attitude and ability to actually resolve an issue even with 18 months to do so, didn't even deserve the one star ... just the Eek! Eeeeeeeek!!

Well the Bank itself and its employees are fine but beware of cashing a check written to you. This institution charges a fee of $10.00 to cash a check drawn on this bank, when you cash a check written to you in the name of administration fees. They do it all with a smile no mask or a gun when they hold you up. I personally would not associate myself in any way with such extortionists.

Asked for some rolls of coins to look at for my coin collection. The staff is extremely polite and plenty of bank tellers! Walked out of the bank a very happy man treated with amazing five-star customer service! Looking forward to going back to this bank in the future!

I've only been to this Westamerica branch once or twice. It's a few blocks out of my way, but it has a very important feature: it's open on Saturday. Glory hallelujah. It tends to receive more foot traffic than the Washington Street branch (the fact that it's in a shopping mall may account for that). I've had to wait a bit more than at other branches, but that's hardly an issue. The tellers I've dealt with are friendly and helpful, and, as with the other two Westamerica branches I bank at (Washington St. and Sansome St. in San Francisco), I have had consistently satisfactory experiences. As with the Washington Street branch, it offers drive-through banking. I am a happy banker.
