Something was wrong with our 3 yo cat. We didn't know what, went to our regular vet who took X-rays, said Finn had some kind of intestinal obstruction and recommended we take him to Truvet. We had him there by 11:00. They called in a surgeon who couldn't be there until 4:00. By then Finn had gone into a steep decline and wasn't stable enough for surgery. We lost our beloved cat because of a delay in addressing his needs. And it still cost us $2700. An emergency vet should be able to address emergencies and they couldn't. I would not recommend them.

Fantastic place if you need immediate help. Clean and safe. The vet was super knowledgeable and helped with extra resources to save time, anxiety and money in the future. Took great care of Gwen.

These guys are a wonderful! They are a very caring, thorough and knowledgeable emergency veterinary clinic that was shockingly less expensive than I expected them to be. In fact, we paid about the same for a late night emergency visit with these guys as we do for a trip to our neighborhood vet during regular business hours and the care we recieved was top-notch! When one of our cats was attacked and injured by a feral cat in our neighborhood last week, we brought him in to truvet to be evaluated as he had multiple puncture wounds, he wasn't able to jump, and we feared he may have had internal injuries as well. (we actually thought a dog mauled him but, due to the nature and appearance of his injuries, they determined it was definitely a cat that attacked him.) We arrived there just before midnight and were seen right away. They were all very kind and compassionate with our cat Craig and were also very empathetic towards us and our concerns for our little kitty boy. The were professional, quick, and compassionate. They were so gentle with Craig and kept him as calm as possible while they cleaned and dressed his wounds. Their exam was very thorough and precise, you could tell this was definitely not their 1st rodeo. In the end, we left an hour after we arrived, feeling so very relieved that our little Craigers was ok and that the trip didn't cost us a small fortune. I would recommend truvet to anyone looking for a compassionate, caring, and knowledgeable after-hours emergency vet in sonoma county. These guys were just all around awesome in every way.

A lifetime of owning animals and this is by far the worst vet I have ever dealt with. Overpriced scammers. Their staff members are inept at handling animals and they will charge you for things you didn’t authorize. I brought my cat in to be put down and they charged double what we told them we could afford before seeing the cat. A staff member was somehow scratched by my sedated cat resulting in needing rabies testing and them not able to release the body back to me. Stay away if you can help it.

The worst day of our lives happened when our family dog started behaving really strange one day. We rushed him over to TruVet since our vet was fully booked. They immediately took him in... and I'll spare the horrific details... but we unfortunately did not go home with our little Milo. It was literally the most horrifying moment in my life and even as I write this, it brings tears to my eyes again. Milo was super old but we had no idea he was sick until it was too late. Through this terrible situation, Dr. Kasier truly felt like an angel. She was so calm and honest with us. I never felt at any moment that they were price gouging or anything. I have no doubt that the staff did what they could for Milo. Even after we came home and had to live through the grief of losing him so suddenly, we reflected a lot of how kind everyone was at TruVet. We really appreciate their empathy. It was honestly my saddest day but the staff did really help and we will be forever grateful. Exactly a week later, our old kitty Peshe told us is was also her time around 8pm. We knew exactly what to do and where to go to help our little kitty girl. It's been a rough two weeks for our family but I am truly grateful for the staff here. It brings me peace knowing this emergency vet is right around the corner from our house in the event of any emergencies with our other fur babies.

They fixed up my cat real good for a reasonable price. They calmed my panic. They dried my tears. It was hard, seeing my beautiful kitten in this way, with half her eye hanging out from a very rude encounter with the cat patriarchy. She's the picture of innocence and beauty. How could they! This world ain't fair, i tell ya, it just ain't fair. Any way you try to look at it, pick any angle ya like, it's just not a fair place for honest hard workin, God fearin people and cats. But the cat medics got us thru it, and well, as fer Luna she's as fit as a feline fiddle and breakin hearts again. Including mine. Gosh I love erSeriously though, they are an excellent very professional team here. Really calmed us down in a traumatic situation. Cat hates the cat carrier hasn't left the property in 8 years, very scared and in pain. And they knew just what to do, both with the cat and us. Very calm and caring staff, every member. She kept her eye after all, they "debrided" the inner eyelid that got torn out. There was a wait, so they kept her there while we got dinner, gave her some narcos to calm down. Made it easy and approachable for us. And it came in less than $400, which I felt was reasonable given the extent of the injury. 5 stars

I needed euthanasia for my 17-year-old cat and our vet could not fit me in. VCA,'s cost was so high but then I found true vet. Not only reasonable but they give situations like these priority and got me right in. They treated us both with a lot of compassion, I was (am) so grateful.

Thank you to Dr. Kaiser and Staff who took care of my dog. All were very caring and professional. I was kept well-informed during the whole 5 hours my dog was there and they took excellent care of him. Hopefully, ?I won't have need of them again, but I know where to come if I do.

Just had the most amazing experience with this pet emergency clinic! I highly recommend!! They were kind, professional and basically saved my dog’s life. Much more organized and competent than the emergency clinic where I used to go in Marin.

Thank you, Dr. Alexander and staff, for your compassionate care of Sami and me. Though I had to lose him, your caring and warmth and generosity through the decision-making and his final hour helped me know I made the right decision for him. I know he’s enjoying the happily-ever-after in that great mousing ground in the sky. ??

It wasn’t new or an expensive dog bed but it was my 15-1/2 year old dachshund Riley’s. I was assured when I asked if it was ok to leave my euthanized little guy in his bed if I could pick it and the dog blanket up when I received his remains. I just wanted him to be in it until they picked him up for cremation. You see, he left behind a grieving little brother who I felt would have an easier time grieving if he could smell Riley’s scent - maybe make it a bit easier. I really wanted these items as much as Riley’s ashes. Imagine the shock, disappointment and sadness to be told when I arrived that there was no bed or blanket. Don’t know why but having researched and seen a number of positive reviews, I just couldn’t imagine this kind of colossal mistake could be possible. With great sadnes…well, I , guess it’s just the way things are now.

Dr. Marcus and all of the involved staff at Truvet guided me through a difficult time when my elder dog was dying. They were compassionate and professional. I was kept informed during her stay as test results became available and the possibility of a happy result rapidly disappeared. Dr. Marcus's competence and compassion allowed my family to have our last moments with a loved member of our family.

Mixed review of this place. 1 star for being open to seeing my dog without an appointment. 1 star for very super friendly and courteous staff (from receptionist, assistant and DVM)1 star for ultimately getting my dog what he needed after 6 hours at the vet hospital. The main complaint that I have is that IMHO they over diagnose/workup my pet. For simple vomiting and loose stools, you don't need to start with worst case scenario and do $1000 in work ups. You start with most probably cause and treat for that with $50 worth of meds and do a fecal culture ($100). No need for X-rays No need for pancreatitis testsNo need for complete blood panel No need for IV fluids (maybe/maybe not)If my regular vet had been available this would have been a $150 bill but because they have the only availability in the valley, they get to do what they want. My dog is feeling better My wallet is not and my conscience for allowing them to over treat is feeling guilt.
