I would give 0 stars if I could. I rented a unit online for their “$1 first month” promo (still had to pay a ~$30 admin fee) and when I went to the office to move in, they tried to charge me $20 for a lock that would cost $8 elsewhere. When I asked if they would price match they said no. It rubbed me the wrong way, and then I overheard another customer who came into the office state the elevators frequently don’t work. I had just rented a unit on the second floor. I never closed a rental agreement so quickly in my life. Now I’m reading that other customers have experienced crazy rent increases within months, which validates my decision to terminate my rental agreement before even moving any of my items in. I asked if they could refund the arbitrary “admin fee” I paid and they said no to that too. Do not get sucked into their $1 first month promo because they clearly do not care about your experience here, and they are in fact scammers.

I really liked this place at first. Then, after I’d been there for only 4 months, they increased my rate by 75% (I am not joking it went from $88 to $152) with ZERO NOTICE. I called because I thought they had made a billing mistake and they said “no we just raised your rate.” When I protested the lack of notice, they told me they’d send me some second number I needed to call if I had an issue with it, but upon hanging up instead of sending said number they apparently decided to see what more they could charge me for, and I shortly received an email claiming they suddenly had no record of my insurance (which I sent them they day I moved in and they confirmed receiving) and they were going to add their insurance to my bill. Unbelievably scammy place. I’m moving out as soon as possible.
Update: followed up with a call to the number provided in the reply, and the person told me “we are legally allowed to raise your rate every month if we want and if you don’t like it you can move out” verbatim. I certainly will, and I will never do business with this company again.

I've been searching for a secure, clean storage space for a while now. StorQuest is close by and fairly new to Petaluma. Their prices are good and the customer service was great! Orlin was patient with my millions of questions and showed me the 2 sizes of units I was considering. Just having that visual helped me to make the right choice. I'm feeling good about my choice of storage facilities!

DO NOT RENT HERE OR ANY STORQUEST UNLESS YOU WANT RATE INCREASE WITHIN MONTHS
Less than 6mo of renting and I just received a 20% increase in monthly rate. The girl I spoke to said there was nothing they can do because Corp just does it without them knowing. Ridiculous ! I've been with another storage company with much bigger unit for 5yrs and never a rate increase.
The office staff is very nice and helpful otherwise I'd give this place 1 star. Been in there by myself more than once in last month when homeless are just creeping around halls. No cars outside. Didn't make me feel to safe. I've got the smallest unit for temp move. Don't agree with what they company does to people this soon after renting. Must be a 6mo thing idk but not right !!! Unhappy !!!
