I played golf on a course the day after it rained. To protect the grass, carts were only allowed on the concrete paths. This made it a bit challenging to get around, but it was worth it for the beautiful scenery and peaceful atmosphere. The course was quite large, and I enjoyed the challenge of playing on the different holes.Unfortunately, there were a few young people who were making a lot of noise and being disrespectful. This was a bit disruptive, but we tried not to let it ruin our experience.Overall, I had a great time golfing at this course. The scenery was beautiful, the course was challenging, and the staff was friendly. I would definitely recommend this course to others, especially if you are looking for a peaceful and scenic place to play golf.

The Rooster Run Women's Golf Club is a group of ladies who are just plain fun. We come from many walks of life and have a variety of interests. We love golf and socializing after a round. This group of ladies is NOT clique-ish nor catty. We play every Tuesday morning. All women are welcome, so give the pro-shop a call and come on out and play around with us.

One of our favorite places to play. Nice staff and a very well-maintained course. The small airstrip next to the course is awesome. Charming little planes landing and taking off. It's a fun atmosphere.

Best public golf course in the Bay Area for the price. Great staff, course and greens are in top shape. Just wish it was closer to my home.

In great condition always and relatively cheap. Has a great blue collar character that you don’t usually get at a golf course. There are some very charming things about this course that are best left to discover.

Pin placements were diabolical as most were placed on slopes which became unfair. Overall shape of course was good but pin placement made course more difficult than it should be.

Fairways are like velvet, rough just long enough to be penal while still being playable, greens healthy (though a bit slow), new sand in greenside bunkers, and some tee box renovations, the course is in the best shape I've seen in years. Staff are great too. Not a TPC layout, but a fun course in really nice condition right now.

The course was in great shape, pace of play was good, and it was $49 with a cart for a 2pm twilight in June which feels like a great deal. Overall the course isn't too challenging. No bar cart which is always a bummer so plan ahead.

My friend who is the designated golf tee time guru made an announcement last week that she got us tee time at Rooster Run. Hubby & I said oh, we've played there before. She was surprised. Well, I couldn't recall anything about the course. But I knew I wrote a Yelp review on it. Sure enough, 4 years ago. As a result of my previous review where I mentioned the course was flat and wide, we all decided on push carts. The pro shop allowed the 7 of us to tee off early as we were all present and ready. Which way is Hole 1? She pointed past the parking lot and instructed us to take the underground tunnel. We made our way over. It was a wonderful day. Sunny. Peaceful. There's a local airport next door but it didn't deter from our game. Also vineyards. There's a few hazards like barrancas which are always psychological; however, it's mostly wide and flat. Fortunately the weather was in the low 70's. Any higher I'd have to rent a golf cart as I have a tendency to wilt. We all enjoyed the course and said we wouldn't mind returning as it's only a 45 minute drive door to door since we're driving against traffic. The bathrooms are somewhat outdated but they do flush!!!
