Love this happy shop and I buy all my dish soap, hand soap, body wash, all purpose cleaner, and deodorant here! The quality of products is excellent and the family who runs the shop are wonderful people, and are furthering reuse in the community, conserving precious resources.

Love this refill store! Refilled my toothpaste tabs. So many refill options available. Options for shampoo bars, biodegradable packaged deodorant, and much more. Very important to me to have local refill store options!

An AWESOME store in the Petaluma Mill--we love it. SO MUCH fun stuff, fantastic selection. Things I was looking for (shampoo bar soap, toothpaste tablets) and other products I didn't even know about. Fun gift worthy items too, all set up in the most charming shop! Speaking of charming, the owners are pretty cool too, super knowledgable & friendly, NOT pushy at all. I love this place, You will too!!

Love this store and the products they have available. I recently found out about Refill Mercantile and have bought dish soap and hand soap. I'm waiting to use up other products and replace them as well.

I can’t speak anymore highly of this place. They opened just as I started to grapple the concept of ‘climate anxiety’ and being able to patron this establish is like the best medicine. As a small business, they are purposefully thoughtful about everything they stock, testing everything out in their own home first. Being parents themselves, the owners even take into consideration the needs of their youngest customers (the kids that come in with their parents) by placing busying toys & products at knee height. They’ve even gone so far as to personally serve curbside when my 2 and 4 year old have simultaneously fallen asleep in the car (our current situation as I type this). If you aren’t already a regular here, I highly highly encourage it so we can all continue to make more sustainable choices through their store, for years to come! ?❤️

I echo all of the positive reviews! This shop has so many fun items, great for gifting! Rob and Donna are so helpful and welcoming. We moved out of Petaluma, but will still continue coming back to Refill. So appreciative that they also take clean bottles and jars to reuse. We need more stores like this!

LOVE the environmental focus this store has! I had the privilege of stumbling upon this shop one night while dining in Petaluma and could not take my eyes off of all of their products! There are so many wonderful plastic-free, waste reducing, and refillable products in this store that its a miracle I contained myself to only buying one product.The aesthetic - 10/10Seriously cute, clean, and eco-conscious. There is NOTHING in this store without an earth-minded purpose. Very subtle colors make the products pop and the refill station is hidden in the back so you almost feel as though you're visiting someone's home to collect goodies.The owner - 10/10I feel so lucky to have gotten to meet the owner and chat for a few minutes, she is LOVELY. So friendly and ready to provide any and all guidance needed for products. She has personally tested each product within the store so she is a wealth of knowledge. Also, love that she was willing to discuss other local vendors in my area providing a similar service - such a community!The items - 10/10I could spend hours reading about all of their products and the wonderful impact they are making. Each product is hand-picked with certain ethical criteria so you know you can feel good about what you're buying!My purchase:- Dip conditioner bar - I have never been a conditioner bar fan because I love a good liquid conditioner lather and this product has pleasantly surprised me! Recommended by the owner, it is living up to my standards thus far!- Dry shampoo sample - The owner (being wonderful) let me sample a small amount of the dry shampoo from one of their "give and take" jar collections and I will definitely be coming back to purchase it! Farewell to aerosol cans!Long story short, whether you're brand new to eco-friendly products or a well-researched machine, come visit Refill Mercantile! You are guaranteed to find something you want... and lets be real, stores like this are the change we NEED!

Amazing shop with a purpose. I now go here to refill on laundry detergent, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dishwasher soap, dish soap, toothpaste tablets, and so much more! Stop in and check it out. We are so lucky to have this option available and we should all be doing our part to reduce plastic waste. You can start making small changes by simply bringing in containers you already have and filling them up at Refill Mercantile!

Come check this out, the world needs more of this! Bring clean empty bottles, pumps, or jars so you can get their bulk shampoo, conditioner, lotion, dish detergent, and other products. I especially wish I’d had an opaque tube or jar, so I could get their bulk sunscreen!They also have lovely bar soaps and sturdy household items made of upcycled or compostable materials.The employees were very knowledgeable, patient and helpful. They were not pushy at all and actually suggested that I did not need one of my items, since I was already getting something similar to it. I really appreciate how much they seemed to care about sustainability. Though they are an independent store, they keep updated a map with a list of all refillable shops in the USA. It’s on their website as well.
