I went to Post Wellness (otherwise known as Petaluma, Orthopedic & Sports therapy) many times over the past 5 years. The PT therapist I saw was amazing but he left along with a lot of their staff. They had a very difficult time replacing any of them. It was difficult to get an appointment because they didn’t have enough people willing to work for them. The most alarming situation was the back office. The line for check in and check out was very long. A lot of mistakes were made and it was difficult to get anyone to address insurance issues. The key person was constantly on the phone and unavailable. It turns out I was being charged for a co-pays even when I met my out-of-pocket deductible. I discussed this with them multiple times and even had a conference call with my health insurance. They were told I did not need to pay a co-pay and that they needed to refund me for the time they were charging me. They disagreed and they asked me to prove it.They owe me over $100 and they will not reimburse me. Other people have told me they’ve run into similar situations with the back office. I know this is a privately family run establishment and some of the people are very nice but that does not excuse such unprofessional practices.

I’ve been working with Mitchell Kauk, PT and owner, for well over 35 years. He has a more holistic approach while caring for the whole person rather than just the injury. He tries to keep his clients away from surgery if possible and leans more towards quality of life, long term, rather than a quick fix. He’s extremely knowledgeable and willing to try different things to help his clients. I have referred many people to him and have never heard a complaint. I don’t think you’ll find a better physical therapist in the county. POST also has a very homie feel to it and a very caring nature. A big part of this is because of Christina, Mitchell’s wife, business partner and office manager.I’ve had nothing but good experiences at POST and feel lucky to have them available to me.

This was my go to PT business that is conveniently located and had great therapists. Recently they are quite understaffed and it was difficult to get appointments. In December 2022 they called and offered me a last minute appointment which I gladly accepted and when I arrived I was told no therapists were there, they all went home early for various reasons AND nobody bothered to let me know. The day before my next appointment I called to confirm. After a few hours I got a voicemail saying the therapist I was working with was no longer there and all my appointments were null. Again, they didn’t reach out to inform me. Very frustrating and disappointing.

During the pandemic I was having severe planter fasciitis. I could barely walk. I have a back condition that requires I walk 5 miles daily. Mitch and his crew did everything to make my planter fasciitis go away. I was extremely grateful for their expertise in helping me learn ways to get me back on my feet and walking without pain and discomfort. Thank you from the bottom of my feet to my heart. You all ROCK!!

The renowned Steadman Clinic/Howard Head Sport Medicine in Vail, Colorado referred me to P.O.S.T., for my hip and SI challenges --- and I am grateful for their recommendation! As a former Olympic Trials competitor in cycling and now as an equestrian with a PhD focused in exercise science--with one too many sport related surgeries and injuries behind me--I attest that Mitchell Kauk, PT is a rare find in today’s sports rehab world. Mitch’s experience as an athlete, and as a therapist coupled with his intense desire to continue learning and helping others thrive is a rare find. I came to his office in near tears of pain following my move to Petaluma. My SI was out: The pains of a labral tear and multiple surgeries, revisiting me. Mitch and his wonderfully caring Team put me back together, step by step. He knew exactly where to start and what to do. I hope that you will also with take advantage of the opportunity to work with Mitch and his Team. Best of health, Julie.

I won’t be going back here. I had my first appointment today. I saw Mitchell. He was nice. Everyone was “nice.” However, they have no idea what’s going on and how to bill, then they put it back on the patient. I was literally told that I had to pay $180 in case my insurance 6 months from now came back and didn’t pay. Sounds like their problem not a patient’s problem. My insurance has been amazing. I was also told my “the scheduler” that they wouldn’t cover it because it was related to a car accident…. I have Ehler’s Danos Syndrom. It’s a genetic disorder from birth. She hadn’t even spoken to the doctor, or do a pre authorization or try and bill my PPO. Nothing…The name of the last practice had some same issues of having patients pay out of pocket and then they wipukd bill insurance. That’s insurance fraud. Then it’s $160 for follow up appointments… no thanks! I’m tired of places taking advantage of people when they are hurting. I was also told i should leave my job and file for disability. I do hair for a living and it’s my passion. This dude doesn’t know how strong i am. I’m glad they only got $180 out of me and I’ll be going in tomorrow to have a discussion with them. There are plenty of other physical therapy places that will work on sliding scales and bill insurance.

Well as I have said before I'm a resident of Petaluma and I always seek out businesses in my town. Another family owned business. They rehabbed my son from a ACL soccer injury. Now I'm rehabbing from a total knee replacement. The staff are courteous, professional not too mention they are covid compliant and very clean and dedicated to achieve your best possible outcome,

I've been seeing Dr Scott Kandler for the past 6 or 7 years now. He's a fantastic, knowledgeable chiropractor. I always leave feeling much better and truly cared for. Can't recommend him more highly!

I have used POST-Wellness By Design on several occasions; twice for trigger finger and once for my neck. My physical therapists were always extremely knowledgeable and took time to fully understand what was going on with my body in order to create the best program for me. They taught me exercises that I could do at home so that I was able to continue helping myself in between appointments. I was given information about how to do certain tasks differently so I wouldn't re-injure myself or agitate what was already irritated. I felt that the therapists were concerned with my overall well-being as well. I highly recommend POST if you are in need of physical therapy.

I was referred to Post after knee surgery. Justin has been working with me and he's very good at what he does. He is great to work with. He is professional and thoughtful about the program he sets up for me, adjusting as I progress. He has asked me what my goals were. I told him I would like to work on other injuries as well as my knee and to get back to cycling and yoga as soon as possible. He has customized my rehabilitation based on my goals and my current condition. It's difficult sometimes but his positive feedback helps me to believe I'll get back to what I love doing.

I spoke to a woman at the studio the night before to confirm class was going on in the morning. I pre-paid and showed up and waited for a half hour in the dark in the cold and the studio was locked and all the lights were off and no one was answering the phone. I left a message asking for a refund and never received a call back or a refund. And now this Studio's phone number is disconnected.

I have been struggling with knee pain for as long as I can remember. I have been to other phys ed and never have they once taken the time to massage the knee. It hurt so bad it made me cry while it waz happening. BUT for the first time I can touch my knee without cringing. This is HUGE. The place sits right by the Petaluma river downtown. Inside is cozy and comfy. And the folks just make you feel at ease. They listen, have empathy but also seem to have answers. What a concept! They are great!
