Pet Food Express
383 S McDowell Blvd, PetalumaBe been coming here on and off for a couple years. They helped me so much back when I had an animal that was super sensitive to foods. They were so patient with me and every person was awesome. I bought treats, food, beds and travel carriers here and everyone had good advice for me. Fast forward 2 years and I needed help with grooming supplies for a dog with sensitive skin and sensitive owners (my nose). Jorge spent extra time helping me and sharing his personal experience with his own dog of the same breed. I come all the way down 3 towns away for this place because they are worth it. I don't need it person but they have a dog washing station here.

Petaluma Veterinary Hospital
2443 Petaluma Blvd N, PetalumaI switched to Dr. Smith and Petaluma Veterinary Hospital, as I had heard about this hospital through a friend. For one thing,it is in closer proximity to where I live and their hours are more regular. The most important thing, however, is that my dog has developed anxiety. Everyone took their time with her and did not push the 1st time exam. It ended up being a meet and greet appointment. I value the respect that was given to my girl. We are coming back in a week for a 2nd visit.Terry.

Sonoma Marin Veterinary Service
1120 Industrial Ave STE 13, PetalumaLove the team at Sonoma Marin Vet. They've taken great care of my horse for years. Let's be honest, my horse is high maintenance. Horses in general are high maintenance. The team at Sonoma Marin works with our coach to make routine care for my horse effortless for me. I work my butt off paying for my horse's lifestyle, I'm tired like all the time. It's kinda priceless having a positive long standing relationship with my horse's care team.

TruVet Specialty and Emergency Hospital
2620 Lakeville Hwy Bldg D, PetalumaWe had to make the most difficult decision of putting our dog down after unsuccessfully being able to re-home him or find a shelter or rescue to take him to. We weren’t wanting to get rid of him but due to moving and not being able to find a place that wasn’t breed restricted we had no other options and since he had a bite history no one was willing to work with him. We were able to get a same day appointment that I called and all of the staff were very understanding and sympathetic to my situation. They allowed me as much time as I needed to say my goodbyes and the procedure was very quick and painless for him and it wasn’t overly expensive. We will miss our boy so much??????

363 S McDowell Blvd, PetalumaWe needed a new local vet after our vet in Novato retired. Our aging cat had been diagnosed as being diabetic and we needed to follow up on that. Adobe Animal Hospital
408 Madison St, PetalumaI cannot recommend Adobe hospital highly enough--especially Dr. Kidwell. A little over a month ago our 13 year old Labrador, Tucker, collapsed. The team at Adobe were able to see him immediately, and quickly assessed the cause. It turned out to be the worst possible news: pericardial effusion--fluid build up around the heart, very likely due to a mass. I can imagine no harder job than to have to tell someone their beloved pet can't be saved. Dr. Kidwell was beyond amazing. She took all the time with us that we needed, walking us through options, giving us clear information. In the end she was able to gently and compassionately guide us to the right choice to let him go. It was devastating, but I am so grateful to everyone at Adobe for how they supported us and for the care they took to make sure Tucker's passing was peaceful. It will take time to heal, but when we get our next dog, Adobe will be our first call. It is a vet office that truly goes above and beyond.

PET INDULGENCE
538 Almanor St, PetalumaDo you have a shy, older cat that needs special, gentle care & attention? This is the service for you. I lucked out with Karen A. being assigned to my 9 day service need. I expected my Maya to spend the visits under the bed or in the closet. In just 3 visits, she was welcoming Karen and her petting. Loved the daily updates, photos and video I was able to share with my 99-year old Mom I was visiting. (She used to be my Mom's cat). There pricing is right-on. I am glad I found this service as I am new to Sonoma.

It's A Dog's Life
2715 Skillman Ln, PetalumaIt’s a dogs life does such a great job with our dog! He has boarded here several times for about a week and also a few long weekends. The staff are always laid back but very knowledgeable and caring - our pup seems to have a great time here! The grooming is also the best that we have found in the Petaluma area. What I also really appreciate is that they don’t nickel and dime you so that your pup can play with other dogs, get fresh air / potty time or if they need to have medication administered. It’s just a great stay for my dog all around and we appreciate the staff for that!

PetalumaThe owner Maria works so very hard to keep customers happy at this quaint and delicious Mexican restaurant. There are fun piñatas hanging from the ceiling that my two year old son loves to look at. Fresh hot chips come to our table accompanied by warmed refried beans and salsa. My son can eat an entire shredded chicken enchilada while I love the grilled chicken taco salad. My husband loves mixing it up with different combo plates. We all love this restaurant and my step-daughter says it's her favorite!

Vine and Barrel
122A Kentucky St, PetalumaFirst of all, this is a wine shop. If you are an up-tight wine snob then go elsewhere. However, if you know wine, and you’ve explored local California wines but are tired of fruit bombs, oak, butter, and exorbitant prices … then Jason will open your eyes to wines from all around the world that are affordable! Keep in mind he can sell you a glass or a bottle but cannot give you a free taste because of his license … so don’t friggin ask! However, he can keep you laughing until you have to run to the bathroom … just remember to pat the gnome on the nose!

HenHouse Brewing Company Palace of Barrels
1333 N McDowell Blvd, PetalumaMy wife and I stumbled upon Henhouse while on vacation. We were traveling back to San Francisco after a day in Sonoma. Wow! We got lucky! The vibe was amazing and the beer was fantastic. Really, any brewery beer will typically do the job, it’s the people which make the experience. The people here made the experience perfect. If you are in the area, this is the place to stop. It is very pet friendly but not annoying if you are not an animal person. Salute!

613 2nd St, PetalumaWe were in the area searching for a distillery, but all we found was a warehouse. However, in a stroke of serendipity, we noticed a sign for a port-tasting room next door and decided to give it a try. It turned out to be the highlight of our day, a hidden gem we hadn't anticipated. The tasting experience was wonderful. Matt gave perfect insights into the wines and also gave a tour of the boutique winery. The ports are excellent! Bought two bottles & a membership. Looking forward to exciting offerings and events
