The fine arts section is disorganised and frequently out of stock for the items I need (pens, markers, etc.). Their store brand, Artist Loft, is replacing a once wide choice of brands and is low quality. This location recently installed self-checkout machines. I politely asked one of the young employees to be checked out by a living person instead of a robot and she became frustrated with me and angrily told me to call Michaels to complain there. She also said that if I didn't want to use a self-checkout in the future, that no other employee would come out to help me. Then she proceeded to help other people behind me who didn't ask for a person either. WOW! It seems they are understaffed or not trained well. I feel devalued as a regular customer to this Michaels. It's sad to see that they don't even value their own employees too because they're replacing them with robots.

I was so pleased with your person in the framing dept. she helped me get my picture into a frame. It was a special picture I made of my sister that had passed.

Good glue, bought glue, glue can glue things together because glue is too, who had a clue to shine my shoe, because they're not brand new, yet they never flew, through to the blue goo.

Every time I go here they are closed early. The employees lock the doors well before 9 and then don't let you in. It's infuriating.

Where else can you go to get art supplies, holiday decor, crafting items, frames, baking supplies, etc! So many things in one place, it's great. I love seeing all the holiday decor. They always have a great selection to choose from. Staff is usually on the sales floor eager to assist with items you can't locate or answer questions you have about product, which I appreciate. Great store.

The employee who checked us out wouldn't apply a teacher's discount. She said "We don't really know how it works. The system decides. Sometimes it applies, sometimes it doesn't..." I guess they just apply it when they feel like it? It is also difficult to find an employee to ask a question. I can't imagine this store or the brand in general will be in business in 5 years time. It's old, dreary, and vulnerable to online.
