Rob was very professional and had my driveline in and out in just a couple hrs. I had attempted to remove a blown center bearing with no luck. Rob was able to swap it out for me, quick turn around and a very Fair price!

Absolutely the most professional Machine Shop service in Sonoma County. I brought two Zero Halliburton aircraft metal suitcases to JRL Machine after a Santa Rosa shop was uncertain if they could repair to suitcase. Jerry Balf understood the repair issue, sourced the proper grade material which he then fabricated the repair solution. It appears to have the same fit and finish as of it came from the Zero Halliburton assembly plant. The price was fair and JRL met the delivery time, with no change in price or time. They kept to the quote and the repair has gone on five round trip flights to Asia and works perfect.

JRL DRIVELINE, is absolutely hands down the best driveline shop in Sonoma County. The staffing very helpful, and the owner is one of the best I've ever seen., A real "NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE ".,ATTITUDE. The welds are perfect, and the quality is second to None. Dont waste your time going anywhere else.

I was wanting to order a new light fixture for my dining room, however the one that I wanted to purchased came with a down rod that was too long for the height of my ceiling. I called JRL machine shop and asked if they could reduce it and drill new threads. I emailed the light fixtures spec, Rob called back a few minutes later. He said that he would be able to it. Later that week, I brought in the down rod and he fixed it for me while I waited. Great experience. Receptionist is very nice too!

I am restoring and old 60's Craftsman band saw. I broke one of the wheels trying to press it on a shaft. When I found a replacement wheel, I wanted a professional to install it this time. I called different machine and auto shops to find someone who could help me. Rob was the only one with the equipment and willingness to help. He noticed the shaft was mushrooming out so he smoothed it out and pressed the wheel on. He also noticed I was missing another part and easily took care of that too! It's up and running now. Thanks Rob!

Rob was a life saver! Leaf spring Mount ripped off of the frame on our toy hauler on the way to my son's race when we were 1/2 way into a 5 hour drive. By pure luck we found JRL with a Google search at 4:40 on a Friday evening Rob said to bring it by so we crawled in at 10 to 5:00 and he and his assistant got to work. An hour and a half later the trailer was fixed and better than new. They did excellent work and the price was very fair. I highly recommend JRL if you need any metal work/welding done. If there were any more stars I would give them all to them!

Robert Balf is both an excellent welder/machinist n engineer (who I have been doing business with over 22 years) to remake parts for a vehicle I use regularly which at times breaks due to the fact it is made lightweight and needs to be re fabricated/re engineered in a stronger manner. They aren't cheap n with redesign , materials n labor the amount can add up quickly to a high bill but as they say you get what u pay for!Back in November I asked Rob to write us a summary on the last project he completed for me indicating what was technically changed, materials used and why it was necessary to engineer it with the new redesign (this making it weigh a lil more however make it more durable n stronger! He stated he would do it but I had to email him repeatedly and leave numerous messages with Patricia (their Secretary) over n over. He originally told me he did the work then he told me he had "a new guy perform it" then he told me he never got my emails and his computer got a virus then crashed but he did send it out. It had been almost 8 months now and I finally had to write the summary myself then email it to him which he didn't sign or reconstruct because he was off on vacation. The review isn't intended to negate his business but just let the consumer know that they are so busy that anyone asking for something outside of a repair probably isn't going to get it done! I write this being a frustrated consumer looking for closure on my summation letter.

Great Service! Great Work! Thanks Rob! After purchasing a brand new set of 1350 driveshafts from an aftermarket company. I came across a debate online, were the driveshafts properly balanced before shipment to the consumer. So, I figured I would get to the bottom of the debate and get my driveshafts checked before my installation. Searching around I found JRL Machine & Driveline and talked to Rob, living in the East Bay Area which is quite far to Petaluma, I made an appointment. Met with Rob first thing in the morning, had me in and out in a couple of hours with my driveshafts perfectly balanced. I am so glad I made the drive to see Rob. After he rebalanced the driveshafts and I had them installed I have a very smooth ride. Just like factory. This was well worth the drive to JRL. Thanks Again!

I contacted JRL for a quote to fabricate a custom tool. They responded promptly and the quoted price was competitive. I received the part within a reasonable amount of time and everything was within spec. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future.
