Had a bad experience at Novato Toyota, then came here. What a difference. Helpful, informative and polite. What you want and expect of a salesman and dealership. Ended up buying a new Rav4 Prime that same day. Drove away a happy customer. Way to go guys !

I recently bought a used 2024 RAV4 hybrid from Mark. He was very patient with my indecision and back and forth. My previous car had been stolen so I was feeling stressed needing to buy a new car without my usual mental preparation and depth of research.
He was great with my partner and I, exhausting his resources to show me all options available for the car I wanted including driving to Santa Rosa to see an option at one of their dealerships.
He helped me decide on a car that fit me and made the most sense vs pushing more upgraded options on me which is highly appreciated. I left feeling very satisfied with the warranty and care package options I purchased and the car I wanted. He explained if I ever wanted to add more upgrades they have a relationship with a company that can add most aftermarket upgrades that won’t impact my warranty which is great to know.
Apparently they don’t fill gas tanks on used cars anymore which was a disappointment, but that’s not Marks fault.
I recommend Mark if you’re looking for someone who is genuine, not that cliche “car salesman”, and cares that you find the right car for your budget and needs.

I just purchased a new vehicle through Hansel Toyota and had a fantastic experience. The Toyota inventory website was very easy to use, I was able to find the exact vehicle I wanted. Logan helped me with the deposit process all the way through to handing over the keys. He was very clear, communicative, & helpful through the entire process and made my new car buying experience excellent. I highly recommend working with Logan & the team at Hansel Toyota!

Went in for my 2018 Toyota Camry because it
jerks harshly when coming to a rolling stop, a
known issue and why Toyota extended the "tsb" (technical service bulletin) to all 2018 Toyota Camry models regardless of VIN number that exhibit this issue. Paid $190 to sit there for 2 hours and for them to come back and say there's nothing they can do because they couldn't "replicate" the issue. When I wanted to talk to the technician who did the diagnosis they sent me some random guy who WASNT EVEN THE ONE WHO DIAGNOSED IT. DIDN’T FIND OUT TIL I WAS IN THE CAR ROAD TESTING IT WITH HIM. I was confused on why he couldn't tell me what they did to the car since it seemed to be shifting smoother, until he finally admitted he actually had no idea what the technician did to it because he wasn't the one that looked at it. All in all, paid $190 to wait in their wifi-less lobby for them to do absolutely nothing to my vehicle. Never going back to this dealership or any dealership for that matter. Oh and to top it all off, upon reviewing my dashcam footage, the technician that ACTUALLY looked at my vehicle can be heard saying “They’re complaining about that hesitation. Which is normal.” So they acknowledged the issue but refused to administer the TSB that would have resolved it. Unbelievable.

I have nothing but great things to say about Hansel dealerships in Petaluma, especially my experience with Toyota. I needed to trade in my older vehicle for something with more space, and Ricardo Alcazar helped me out. He worked around my busy schedule, followed up with me, and answered all my questions. When I arrived at the dealership, he was very helpful and made the whole process smooth and easy. Thanks to Ricardo, I now have a spacious car for myself and my kids. I'm really grateful for his 5-star service and I'll definitely be returning to Hansel dealerships. I'll also be recommending them to my family and friends. Thank you, Ricardo!

As the owner of a small local business, I am always impressed when I get exceptional service myself. I stopped going to the dealerships for my truck a few years ago due to some very negative dealings at a similar Marin dealership. Until moving to Petaluma, I refused to go to the dealership for my truck's service.
Now here in Petaluma, I found Hansel and my opinion has changed. We needed one of our company trucks serviced and reached out reluctantly to schedule. Upon arrival, they greeted us like royalty. We were then taken and immediately met by a Service Advisor, Anthony S. We had only booked one truck and while checking in for that one, realized we were close to the milage for service for our other truck and asked if we could do both trucks at the same time. We were elated when Anthony said Yes.
I don't own the smallest Tundra, but Anthony and his service team took it on, and were able to get the service work done in appropriate time and we were always kept in the loop. I am always happy when employees at a company take the initiative to offer exceptional customer service. And a special thank you to the mechanics that had to deal with the difficulties.
The service we received from Anthony and the service team here, will make us Hansel customers for life. I would gladly recommend this dealership to anyone that needs their Toyota worked on. Thank you for your consideration. Cheers!

I just purchased a new vehicle through Hansel Toyota and had a great experience. Their website was user friendly and I was able to find the exact car I wanted online. I then worked with Chris Camp to get everything worked out and set up before I went into the dealership. We were able to work out all the details ahead of time including purchase price, trade-in value, and financing terms. By the time I got to the dealership, a lot of the paperwork was prepared and there was no negotiating left to do. Chris was very friendly and helpful through the whole process and made the car buying experience a pleasant one. I highly recommend working with Chris at Hansel Toyota. I also love my new Toyota Highlander Hybrid!!

I just went through the 5th sales procedure with this location and I should have stopped with the first vehicle.
Registration not correct, mailing address not correct, vehicle in a business name instead of an individual, vehicle features being used as a selling point and then those features are not present on the vehicle, rebates being changes and not disclosed until signing.
I have had a problem each time I do a deal and now I am done with Hansel Petaluma. 5 transactions, 4 to many.
Yesterday was the worst purchase experience to date.
I'll be calling the sales department today to ensure they know.

If you purchase a car here, be thorough. Our car had coffee stains on the roof, loose radio buttons. Also, after we got on the road the new car had no gas! We were told we could get a 10$ voucher if we drove the salesman to the gas station then back. What does that tell you about management and care for the customers. Joke.

Interesting how I never received a survey about my experience. They were the worst Completely clueless I bought a vehicle and no one in sales or service could explain the operation of all of the bells and whistles No one had any idea how to use or what all of the control buttons were for Love Toyota but will never come back to this place

I had many problems with them, but I’ll try to keep it short.
They have hidden fees you can’t opt out of. They tried to tack on more expenses I did not ask for. They were more complicated in their finance paperwork than the other dealer I went to. When I asked them why my car got worse gas mileage after getting it serviced with them said in essence, it’s because they use blended oil instead of full synthetic like they should, as though that was an acceptable answer.
I would prefer to drive several hours to shop with Ammar Toyota in Vacaville if I buy another Toyota, and I will get my car serviced with Freeman Toyota.

The negotiation process was seamless, devoid of haggling, and they even extended a discount before discussions commenced. I must also acknowledge AC, who went above and beyond by personally reaching out to explain, with utmost respect, the limitations regarding a different car inquiry. Very shady practices at this dealership.
You know how people always joke about how sleazy car salesmen can be? There is a reason for that and apparently Hansel goes the extra mile to prove how trashy they can be!
My husband got a call from the Hansel Toyota Dealership in Petaluma asking if we were interested in selling our 2017 Toyota 4Runner. It has very low miles (58k for 7 years old) and always had seat and mat covers. So it's in mint condition and perfect exterior too. See the pictures, its a great vehicle.
The sales guy said they'd offer around 30k for it. We figured that would be great and we wouldn't have to bother selling ourselves. So he drives 50 miles out of his way and when he gets there the offer is only for $25k...what a waste of time and gas. The old bait 'n switch. The sales guy said they wouldn't make any money if they gave us $30k. Well maybe you shouldn't give false estimates just to lure people in. He even discussed the amount in depth on the phone BEFORE arranging to come down. This isn't a misunderstanding or a perceived idea, they lied to us just to get us there.
HANSEL TOYOTA YOU NEED TO BE HONEST WITH PEOPLE!!
This is why we won't be buying from you or any Hansel dealer in the future. And we've done quite a bit of business over the years.
Also, your reply to me acting like I just misunderstood? That's just condescending.....
