This Hampton Inn is usually pricy at $200+ a night on most weekends, but a recent Sunday night set me back a more reasonable $150. I'm usually at the Best Western for $120 or less :)
PROs:
-Reasonable weekday pricing
-Friendly staff
-Spacious, clean, modern rooms and bathrooms
-Free Parking
-Quiet location
-Short drive/Cheap Uber & Lyft into downtown
-Decent breakfast included, with eggs and bacon
CONs:
-Expensive on weekends!
-No pool or jacuzzi
-Nothing worthwhile in walking distance.
I'd likely stay here again for the right price.

Poor customer service. I have gold status and asked for a water upon checkout. She said no but that I could buy one. I just spent over $400 at your hotel, but hey, you saved the company 25 cents. Bad policy and lack of common sense and awareness.

A very clean and modern facility with some character to boot. The room sizes and bed configurations are what you would expect from a Hampton Inn. It's a 2 story building that was originally an old facility that spun silk and later made fishing line. The "dinning room", which is used for their breakfast offerings as well the place for cocktails later in the evening shows the buildings true character off nicely. Unfortunately, the road in front of the hotel can create traffic noise, and can be a problem late at night and in the early morning. My recommendation would request a room on the opposite side to lessen this traffic noise concern. The commuter train travels in front next to that noisy road, but that doesn't seem to creat much noise that could be bothersome. The location of the hotel is not bad being a little over a mile from the freeway, but it is also over a mile from the downtown too. Would I stay there again, most likely, but in one of the rooms away from the busy road.

This hotel was great! Loved that it was in an old silk factory so the ceilings were really high which was cool. The hotel was really modern which was cool. Loved everything about this hotel and would def stay here again. The location was great. Close enough to walk to downtown Petaluma yet such a quiet spot. I think the light rail picked up across the street.

15-Ft tall ceilings, brick from a century ago. Beautiful, well kept rooms. Is this really a Hampton Inn?
Apparently this building was a silk mill in the 1890s. They did a fantastic job converting it to a hotel. It has character and charm and is spacious and really a treat. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into my room.
The staff is lovely, very helpful, attentive and quite friendly. This is my new go-to hotel when in Petaluma.
Thank you!
Rooms: Spacious. Very tall ceilings are a huge plus.
Noteworthy details: It was a silk mill in the 1890s and they did an amazing job converting it to a hotel. I am surprised Hilton went with the Hampton Inn brand. They could have easily branded it with one of their more expensive, boutique names.

Owner and manager flip out on people. The reply just gaslights me so i added pictures of the feces as well. This guy iona starts flipping out on me. Yelling and screaming that he's the supervisor. He blamed me for it! Hilton said they'll look into it... ok. The toilet are broken and feces are everywhere. Unreal.

This is the nicest Hampton Inn property I have ever stayed in. You would not believe this is a Hampton Inn.

Excellent location. Great reworking of an old silk manufacturing building. Fantastic free breakfast.
Rooms: Somewhat cramped rooms, little bathroom shelf space, so we took the towels off the shelves and used that. Only 2 plugs in between beds.
Nearby activities: Antiques and upscale market.

I stay at Hampton Inns across the country on both business and pleasure trips. I think this is the most beautifully laid out Hampton Inn that I have been to. Great service and courtesy from the staff as well.
Noteworthy details: Novel idea to take an old building and renovate it to a hotel. Nicely done!

Absolutely not a two star hotel!!! Inside this unique property, the rooms are decorated in a gorgeous brick with large windows, elevated ceilings and historic Petaluma design. Room has all the modern amenities that you’d expect from a Hilton property. The grounds are stunning and the vibe of the hotel takes you back in time to the gold rush. Service was impeccable, and the staff was welcoming. This hotel is a must stay for any traveler that is looking to explore California Wine country without the exorbitant fees of a large resort. Hands-down the nicest Hampton Inn I’ve ever stayed at. Well done.
