“Local store. Not a chain and people who work there treat you like a human being, not a transaction. Pay a little more for better food and support local community”
“Love sprouts. So many options, good deals. It's like your typical grocery store, but they seem to have more "healthy" /organic type products. And good deals. (Mention that twice bc when you go in they advertise deals very well.)”
“I have driver-passed this Grocery Outlet in Petaluma many times. I finally shopped here yesterday. The store is about the same size as most of the Grocery Outlet I have shopped. However, this store seems to carry more items with a few more choices. The store is well organized, the checkout counters are fast, and the cashiers who work at the checkout counter are very polite.”
“How this place doesn't have 9 stars is beyond me...From the salsa aceite to the fridge full of tall cans, the meat/cheese market, and the grocery store in the back, this is a restaurant Anthony Bourdain himself would've made an episode about. Would've taken pics of the food but it was so good I couldn't wait to inhale it. This is one of the most authentic Mexican spots I've ever been. My only regret? I don't live in Petaluma. Otherwise I'd be here everyday. The folks who work here are incredibly awesome too and make you feel right at home.A must try. We did huevos chorizos, then came back later in the day for chile rellenos and quesabirria tacos. My girlfriend is a lifelong Galvin's love and said this place outpaces her all time favorite. Also, there's soccer on tv all day.Personally, I judge a Mexican restaurant by its salsa. The extra hot salsa aceite set my world on fire. Wish I could keep a gallon of it at my home”
“This store opened in 1976, the year I moved to Rohnert Park. I've chopped here off and on since 1976. For the last 17 years I've shopped here regularly. The products are consistently of good quality and reasonably priced. To quote the former Governor, "I'll be back!"”

3796 I St, Petaluma“Free tours at 11am on saturdays and sundays. The store has fresh eggs and pasture raised meat. If you are a farm member you can walk around for free anytime or go catch and release fishing in the lake.”

1410 S McDowell Blvd suite e, Petaluma“Clover milk and eggs. Food for local Casa Grande students and tons of booze. The fireball keg stands out. They actually have amazing selection of fine wines and top shelf booze.I like they are open early”
“Huge, tasty burrito for just $11 and friendly service. Ice cold soda and other beverages. Their hot food menu is not just Mexican but they have the classic American sandwiches too like roast beef, etc. Bodega Bay is too expensive so we try to buy our food along the way.”
“The cleanest store in town. (probably anywhere) I've been going in Fairwest Grocery for almost 20 years. When I walked in 20 years ago, I said to myself, "this store is clean!" I walked in yesterday and what was the owner doing? Wiping down counters after every single person checked out, cleaning the shelves, clean, clean, clean. And they ARE NOT overpriced. For the service, the cleanliness, THE SMILE, and the product selection, it's priced just right.”

157 N McDowell Blvd, Petaluma“Really good customer service here, especially in the floral department and the catering department. I have a lot of good experiences there. Everything is clean and organized. The lines are usually not too bad. Their self checkout isn’t as bad as others.”
“It is a store where you can find a variety of products, from pantry to dog and cat food, as well as many cleaning products, and even wines, an extensive assortment and if you want a plant for your living room or garden, you will find it there.”

4691 Bodega Ave, Petaluma“I like these guys customer service is cool they don't have everything it's a corner store but it's a good one. did you have liquor and cigarettes which I definitely appreciate”
“I’ve been coming to La Azteca since I was a kid. Over the years their food quality and service has never faltered. The food is always amazing (best grilled fish tacos in town), their service is so fast and staff is always friendly. Prices are fair and great portion size. You really can’t beat it in my opinion, hands down my favorite go to Mexican restaurant.”
“I wanted to grab a cold beer and saw the sign that said liquors. Well liquor is in abundance but the beer selection is severely lacking. I also needed a few common market items which they had, so no issues there. The place is very dated but the store seemed to be a local favorite from I could tell.”
“Great assortment of foods. Although slightly misleading. I expected a concentration of hole foods like donuts, bagels, pitted olives, penne pasta, and onion rings. I mean, they have this stuff but the store isn't focused on hole foods like the name implies”
6AM - 11PM
939 Lakeville Hwy, Petaluma“The store is clean, well-lit and the employees are very nice. Their prices are soooo much better than Safeway or Raleys. They usually do not run out of of sale items and their house brands are good quality.”
“Had my first experience with Safeway at Sonoma Mountain Parkway in Petaluma. I was looking for Manicotti shells. I looked in Petaluma Market, WHole Foods, and Safeway on South McDowell. No joy! Another google search led me to Safeway at Sonoma Mountain Parkway. I called their customer service. The phone was answered by Sabrina, she asked me how many packages I wanted, then asked me to hold while she checked. When she returned she told me they would be at Customer Service with my name on it. I asked where Customer Service was and one of the staff pointed to a point across the store. There was no one at the desk, but I found my packages, checked out, and went home to make my first-ever manicotti. I hope someone will tell Sabrina "thank you very much". She's the first person at a Petaluma Safeway that I've reviewed. I'll be going to her Safeway store first from now on!”

1000 Petaluma Blvd N, Petaluma“I recently discovered the Lucky that is about a mile from my home! I couldn't believe how close it is but it is much smaller than the other Lucky that I have been going to. It doesn't have a deli but it always has everything that I need. So glad that I finally found it! It's a good store and the employees are nice and helpful. Would highly recommend this Lucky.”

389 S McDowell Blvd, Petaluma“The Safeway at the corner of South McDowell Blvd and East Washington Street is one of the best Safeway I have visited recently. The store is immaculate and organized. The workers are super attentive. We are here to purchase more supplies for our camping trip. But one of the items we can't find in the store. I talked to a young gentleman who was working on the floor restocking. He goes above and beyond to help me with the item I want. Excellent good customer service they have in this store. This store is perfect for the five-star review.”

389 S McDowell Blvd, Petaluma“As I was familiar with this particular store and pharmacy, it was the first place I thought of when I needed to get a prescription for Paxlovid. It was day two of having symptoms for COVID and time was critical for starting this Rx. The pharmacy received my prescription and got it ready promptly and, as promised, gave me a call. I had given them my insurance information over the phone. I asked what my cost will be and they said something like, there should be no cost. When I got there, wearing a mask, doing the final paperwork I was informed, due to some glitch with my insurance there was a $12 balance. I didn't care, I needed to get this. The supervisor on duty took note and said, "That's not right, there shouldn't be any cost." Who was I to argue. The supervisor went to their workstation and started entering or re-entering my information. It took a few minutes, but they came back, saying, "There you go, no charge." I was truly impressed with the above and beyond the usual level of customer service that is so often seen. The takeaway is not that I got my prescription at no charge, it is that the staff showed concern and tried to correct some problem with my insurance. A heartfelt, thank you for your help. PS, the Paxlovid really helped.”

“Great place on the way back from San Francisco or a trip that takes you through San Francisco heading north because Santa Rosa is the furthest north you’ll find a Trader Joe’s in California, unless you go to Redding. easy to get off the freeway and get to this Trader Joe’s”
