I have driver-passed this Grocery Outlet in Petaluma many times. I finally shopped here yesterday. The store is about the same size as most of the Grocery Outlet I have shopped. However, this store seems to carry more items with a few more choices. The store is well organized, the checkout counters are fast, and the cashiers who work at the checkout counter are very polite.

The prices are higher than other stores for dairy, frozen seafood & beer, red meat prices are the same or a little lower in price.

Some of the negative reviews I see here are very old and from before the new owner, Benny took over. This Grocery Outlet is very well-managed and organized now. And well stocked with a welcome variety in every aisle. I know from my own volunteering experience at local food banks that they do give support to the community in various ways. I visit the store at least once a week and find it a great place to shop. I like bargains!
Update from April 2024. This store continues to be well managed and some departments have even improved, like the produce department. At a discount store one might expect the produce to not be tiptop. But here in the Petaluma Grocery Outlet it is fresh. Sometimes I find it better than Whole Foods, yes I do shop both stores. I’m aways glad to find some new items at a bargain at Grocery Outlet and standard items that are on my weekly shopping list. This discount grocery store gets Highmarks from an experienced shopper!

I love when Grocery Outlet sells hard alcohol. You can find some great deals. Some of their "Elsewhere" this item is no more is not true. I still keep going back. There's always something I didn't know I needed.

Filthy bathrooms with tp on the floor. Yikes. Don't think I'll be back anytime soon. Doesn't give you much confidence in a food store no soap either

We were on our way to Dillon's Beach and wanted to get a few items. My son and husband got those things so that we had what we had forgotten. It's a good place to make sure that we had what we needed!
