I've used this company in the past, and they ultimately did acceptable work, however there were multiple delays. When it was finished, they failed to inform me that there was sales tax due. In trying to settle up, it took a week of calling to get someone on the phone to sort this out just to settle up what I owed THEM. I'm giving them one star because I've recently tried to contact them--phone, email, Facebook DM--about a duplicate order, but they don't appear to care to return calls/emails/messages.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would -- here's. my story: I signed on with them months ago to re-cover a bunch of cushions & pillows for my house in Stinson Beach. I ordered several fabrics and sent a $1,500 deposit. Then ensued a series of delays. One fabric shipment was delayed, then another -- & so on. Whenever I called to get a progress report the person I was calling was " out in the field" and my call was not returned. The last time I called there was no answer so I left a message asking that my deposit be returned immediately & to forget the whole thing. The call & my deposit were never returned.

Good luck getting them to show up or pick up the phone. They came highly recommended by a retail furniture store we had purchased from. I had an appointment set to look at repairing our canvas covers and the guy (Dylan?) never showed up. No call, no email, nothing. So I called the following day to inquire and they said they couldn't believe he didn't show up and would get back with me by the end of the day to reschedule. They did not. In fact, I called back close to a dozen times and left messages trying to reschedule but never got anyone to pick up or return my calls. I suppose once they fail to show up and then know your number after you call so many times, they just refuse to pick up. Spend your time and money elsewhere.

We are so pleased with our new deck awning. We researched several other companies, but chose Gianola because they were local and offered a premium product. The price was not the cheapest, but I firmly believe you get what you pay for. Our new awning is sturdy and firmly anchored to our roof, which was a prerequisite for the windy days we get here. We had a tight schedule, which they cheerfully accommodated. The installers were professional, efficient and friendly. We highly recommend Gianola Canvas products.

I needed a replacement cover for a metal pergola in my yard. The local person I have used was no where to be found, but when I asked around Gianola's name came up several times. Lia and Dylan came out and took measurements and I had my estimate the next day. The work was done on time and delivered to my home. When I had difficulty installing the cover by myself, as it fit very tightly, Dylan and another helper came out and gave me the extra muscle and expertise that was needed to install the new cover. It looks beautiful! The workmanship looks good and the price was very fair. I have already gotten an estimate from them for my next project.

We ordered a motorized retractable awning for our deck! It was installed today by a great team! It looks beautiful and it is exactly what we had hoped for. We are so happy with the results! We highly recommend Gianola Canvas Products! Very professional company.

Oh yes!! This company is one of the Northbay's gems. Family owned and operated, hand made beautiful creations. They re covered our couch & made and installed the retractable awnings on the back of our house (now it's 10 degrees cooler in our house in the summer). They magiced our couch from old and frumpy into comfortable and stylish. New foam, washable covers, and look how awesome it looks! Highly recommend!

My wife and I were in the middle of a long road trip and several of the Velcro straps keeping our roof top tent together failed. We called Gianola and they were able to fix up our straps good as new. We super appreciate all their help.

Gianola Canvas installed an awning and a sail shade for us. They were very easy and professional to deal with, and with one slight exception the entire experience was top notch. We had some concerns about the sail shade blocking our view, so I designed a system where the shade and posts could easily be removed when we would rather have the view. Now, I know nothing about engineering or design or sail shades. But they looked at what I was thinking and then applied their expertise to make it work. The result was better than we expected, and we really appreciated their willingness to go outside the box and engineer something new to accommodate us. The one slight wrinkle was that they left a few scratches on our composite decking. But we were impressed that they immediately bought rubber boots for all their ladders and made that a company policy. That's the kind of vendor that I love to deal with.
