Omar has the best customer service! I had to go back to exchange my shoes that were to narrow for my feet. The first time I went I barely got any help but when I went to exchange them I had the opposite experience. Omar was helping me pick out wide shoes for my feet, he had many recommendations and spent at least 40 minutes with me to make sure I found the perfect shoe. I ended up buy two pairs because it was such a great experience and Omar was so knowledgeable. He deserves praise and a raise! If you go there ask for Omar in the shoe section!

I used to hate going to this store. There was no one working the floor and if you actually found a salesperson they seemed to know nothing about the stock and couldn't answer your questions. I usually left without buying anything. But my last experience has changed all of that. Yesterday, I went looking for hoodies and sandals. I was approached twice by employees asking if they could help and in both cases, they actually did. They answered all of my questions, brought stock from the back in my size and I went home happily with my purchases. This morning I returned one of the pair of sandals because I chose the wrong size (my mistake, not theirs) and my money was refunded with no problem. The cashier even tried to find the right size for me but they were out of stock. I don't know what happened to make this store up its game. Maybe they have more employees for the holidays. Or maybe corporate woke up to the fact that customer service matters. But I hope they keep up the good work.

worst store ever, online they show 7 items only to get there and they have none . asked around and it was like Deer in the Headlites ! Not one person could tell me if they were someplace other then I was looking ?I or if I can order and pick up later ? No one could offer anything so I wont ever be back . I should have read their reviews before going there ...My Bad !

They have one of the worst return policies of all retails. Returning a used product is like grinding teeth and nails, even with a receipt. If you are going to purchase something, don't expect the return process to be smooth as other retailers. Going back to Big 5 Sporting Goods for my sporting needs.

Bad customer service. When a manager is needed then you won't see one in sight. Hopefully they train their new workers better and give them support when needed.

Enormous store with so many sports items, equipment & apparrel to choose from with great prices. Right off Hwy 101.

I came into this store on a famously hectic day - Christmas Eve afternoon. I was blown away by the kindness and service from the stores employees. Every employee that crossed my path asked if I needed help and all of them were cheery. I felt taken care of and so happy with my experience.

Oh my gosh! Twice you have rescued me with presta tire tubes! So I am out in the middle of nowhere when the flat tire happened. Not to worry I told myself. I've got the Mi**s Bi**s presto tube I recently purchased from them in my bike bag. Uh, no, I had a Schrader valve tube they sold me for my very roadie bike! Ugh! So I walked the bike with a flat tire to Dick's and was sold the best little presta valve tube in the world! Keep being the best bicycle shop in town. You are afterall, the only bike shop east of the Petaluma River.

I had every intention on starting the process of getting of custom fit for some new golf clubs. It's a shame that there weren't any employees interested in seeing if I was in need of assistance. Granted I could have made an effort to go find someone but the three or so employees that walked in the general vicinity seemed disinterested in making the effort to approach a customer. Good thing there are two golf mart locations within 40 minutes that have a greater selection despite my want for new Pings.
