I have Ehler Danlos. I had signed up for training and the instructor kept pushing me to do higher impact workouts even if I insisted in telling her I couldn’t, and yet she yelled at me, so I tried harder. This caused my knee to give way and I ended up with a total tear of me acl, a rupture in my meniscus and a fracture in my femur. They didn’t even bother in calling an ambulance and my sister had to take me the hospital. I had a surgery, and recovery lasted a full year. They brushed off any claims I made, saying that they were not responsible. Even after multiple calls for cancellation of membership, they continued to bill me for membership and training. I cancelled my credit card, but since it was a subscription, the bank kept automatically authorizing them. I called far too many times to have them cancel my membership but they kept charging. It wasn’t until I threatened them with a lawsuit that they stopped billing, but there was no reimbursement. Save yourself some grief. This place is a no no..

Only sign up for a membership here if you want to be trapped into a contact and told repeatedly how it's your fault. So happy to waste $3,300 here after moving out of state

This gym is decent! I do enjoy it so far. Unfortunately, I have to agree with some other reviews on cleanliness and the only reason I’m giving it 3 stars. We LOVE the option for childcare, but I don’t think sanitizing regularly is a thing here and with children all from different families?! That’s a MUST in my book. Even a sign at the door stating “please do not bring sick children” would be great because I’m sorry… some people just don’t care and will. With serious illness going around like RSV and Covid, I’d be hyper-vigilant in this arena. I also notice A LOT of people working out who don’t clean up after themselves. Ew. Your bodily fluids are yours…. Please be respectful… I have two gym memberships rn. One with 24 hour and the cleanliness there is superior. The difference for me is $30/mo (sports city more expensive because 24 hour allows annual memberships to save money making my “monthly” about $20/mo).Another thing that just came up that isn’t a deal breaker, but also sucks is the amount of machines. I find myself having to stand around in my circuit because they only have one machine per style. Or they’ll have something similar on the other side of the gym. Not intuitive at all.In conclusion, decent gym! Definitely lots of amenities to fit your fitness levels and I’ve always found the staff pleasant.

i am just rating the pool since i don’t use the gym area. The pool is most of the time freezing cold and it seems that either they don’t care about it or there’s something wrong with the thermostat, so swimming or exercising there is torture. At this point i am trying to find another pool in the area that has a more emphatic view of people using the pool.

Great gym with plenty equipment, love that they have both indoor pool and hot tub and in the locker rooms saunas. Clean, nice and friendly staff. Can’t go wrong for the price!

This place is a good size with lots of work out machines, free weights, cardio machines, etc. The pool chemicals are off. My swim suit is being eaten by the chlorine.

Wonderful gym. I came in at randomly after work. I was given a tour and also offered a protein bar after my workout. This has been the kindest gym in this area, and I’ve trialed 4. A big thank you to Jacob, Dawson and Gabriela. I left with a membership and look forward to coming back soon.

This review is not specifically for city sports club but rather for these two amazing team members of this company. Gabe and Tony are the reason I come to this gym day in and day out. They always have a smile on their face and always greet me at the door with the best enthusiasm, and make sure I feel sexy. Even one day after the gym when I was super tired and hadn't had anything to eat big Tony made sure I was right and gave me some food. Not to mention Gabe always consistently make sure I'm making progress on my gain. Nothing but respect for my gang.

I don't know who hires the front desk staff but they're very unprofessional, no manner's & not trained properly.I came in with my son & wasn't greeted nicely! I think their name was Gabriel it was a very unwelcoming greeting. This gym needs a major overhaul from staff to how they can keep up with maintenance!I really don't know who's in charge of all this but hire people that want to work not just sit around & chat with their friends as if the front is a hangout. Seriously City sports step your game up.

Love getting here for my 6am workout and the gym is closed even though they’re supposed to be open 5am. Has happened multiple times. Other than the morning staff they are almost always too busy talking amongst themselves or on their phones to even acknowledge your existence when checking in. The staff that I do see workout there don’t even set the example and wipe down the equipment they use when working out. If I could give this place 0/5 stars I would.

Staff is so rude and equipment is always broke. Good luck getting them to fix it. Takes months. They truly suck
