Appointments are easy to get and we hardly ever have to wait in the office. My sweet dog is super nervous (won’t even get in the car with me for a few days after a visit ?) but they are gentle and do the best they can to not traumatize him further. Great Vets, assistants, front office.

The best veterinarian hospital there is. Thank you for making it such an easy process.

I love this place and it's so great, that I drive all the way from North Santa Rosa to Central Petaluma to bring my cat to the vet.
You know how you can tell a lot about a place based on what the public doesn't normally see? What goes on in the enviroment behind the scenes? Well that's what made me start taking Bosco there.
I do the computers for the Animal Hospital, I actually work for a few vets and was so impressed by Adobe. Some of the others that I've worked for seem dirty, wreaked of cat urine, and just seem like your animal is more likley to come home with something new, rather than fixing the problem you brought them in for.
But not here; the place is always super clean, even the back rooms, the break room, the offices, etc.
The staff are all so nice, and you can tell they all work there because they truly love animals!
The other thing that is so nice, they always have the cutting edge technology. They have computers everywhere, and they have all the latest medical equipment.
I have watched how they treat the animals when you aren't there and I can tell you they love your animal almost as much as you do. I see the staff comforting your pet when they are scared. I see them all getting together to pet and play with them if they seem playful. I see them holding them if they are scared and waking up from surgery and are crying; its impressive!
They really get to know and actually remeber the animals that they see. Just the other day, when I brought in my cat Bosco, he didn't want to get out of the cage and the tech told me, "oh yeah, Bosco has a reputation of not wanting to get out of his carrier". I could tell she knew him, it impressed me.
Anyway, I haven't seen a person there that is not super nice. It goes from the top on down. Yvonne, the owner and head veternarian just runs a great place and a great enviroment that trickles down to the care your pet is getting when you bring them in.
I can't recomend them enough.

Excellent Services from caring doctors and attentive staff. We always feel we are in good hands at Adobe Animal Hospital. Best veterinary service in Petaluma!

Felt taken advantage of. Charged for emergency visit, which was scheduled for the next day, but still had to wait in waiting room to be seen. Charged for exam AND emergency exam AND topical cream, then I was mailed a letter saying I still owe money because they didn't charge for the ear cleaning and now they're charging me interest because I haven't been able to afford it. $300 for an ear cleaning?

Adobe Animal Hospital is a dog's paradise. When you walk in, the staff greets you with a smile and welcomes you and your pet. And your pet's name is on the welcome board.
We've seen Dr. Dekleva and Dr. Stemwedel for our 13-yr-old rescue dog, Ruby. She suffers from arthritis and recently had a serious bladder infection with a high fever. Both doctors have incredible compassion for both Ruby and us!
When we feared that Ruby's arthritis was going to restrict her to short leash walks, Dr. Dekleva did a thorough exam and reported that with meds to control her pain, we could just let Ruby be a dog, running free, swimming, and chasing critters. I was so happy to get this news and almost couldn't believe I was hearing it.
Dr. Stemwedel took care of Ruby over the past couple of weeks and treated her infection and fever. She was open to discussing all options and when I said I'd prefer to give treatment at home rather than a hospital, she understood and helped set up a plan that we could handle.
I was in touch with the office staff daily and got calls from Dr. Stemwedel with updates on test results and to discuss adjustments to the treatment. Ruby is on the mend, and we're so happy to have her healthy again.
I highly recommend Adobe Animal Hospital. You'll feel right at home and so will your pets.

Doctors are good once you can get in, but we had to stop going here due to the lack of available appointments and responsiveness

Very pleased with the care Remy received on his last visit. I appreciate the treatment plan and explanations for Remy’s upcoming dental procedure.

I am going to keep with the facts. I held onto this review for a spell but the story simply deserves to be told because I love dogs and cats and they are more important to me sometimes then humans because they are unconditional and count on us to love and care for them. I've heard too many stories in the field lately. 1. Front office Staff believe and act like they are veterinarians and give you advice they shouldn't be giving. 2. Front office staff sent me and our dog home while my dog was ACTIViLY rupturing a disc and losing all feeling in his hind legs right in front of them (showed video and he was in the car to bring in 20 feet away!!! They looked at nothing. They Asserted it was back pain and instructed us to go home and feed him these "large pills" until they could see him Monday 2.5 days later. They literally didn't allow us to see an actual vet at that point even to determine an emergency events was occurring. 3. 6 hours elapse and our little guy has lost all function of hind legs and is extremely drugged (11pm) he is now physically mechanically paralyzed in his hind. 4. We take him to emergency care truevet(who are awesome) and they take him in. Assessment : 1. Our dog has a completely ruptured disc and any chance of recovering his hind legs can only be achieved by him having neurosurgery within the next 7 hours and 2. Adobe prescribed 4x the amount of Carpofen for a dog his size potentially throwing him into liver/kidney failure (not sure which one. If we had given him one more dose the next morning he would have been dead. 5. Our little guy had surgery the next morning and makes a miraculous recovery months later but we now need to watch for any long term damage Adobe did by 1. Overdosing him and 2. Having him sit there for an extra 5 hours paralyzed at home on drugs before we assessed things weren't right for ourselves. 6. We attempted to get past it with them but it got no better after that with mistake after mistake, bumble, and excuse after excuse following with both of our dogs to the degree where the owner decided we weren't eligible for their services anymore and ghosted our other dog who had been waiting months for a ear and teeth procedure literally two days before. Hope that felt good Dr Stemwedel. And that wasn't the staff ghosting us. that was the owner. She asked for the pill bottle back of the medication and I had a sense I should keep it. Glad we did. May have to revisit this in the future if any long term organ damage was done at the hands of Adobe and it's team and owner. As for his spine, I'm not sure how much better off he would have been without that extra 5-6 hours of him failing before we brought him to the emergency but were just glad we found legitimate professionals to care for him. I am sure they will reply with something to bash us or smooth over the edges and say were disappointed angry whatever but nothing stated above is untrue and all based in facts and documentation. Like I said, they can reply but facts are facts. We did attempt to reach back out one last time as a good gesture and there was no response. So be it. Proceed with extreme caution. 2 local vets later and 1 neurosurgeon concur---they were floored that a place that makes decisions like this and administers care like this shouldnt remain in business with the approach they take to patients, customers, and care. We already have run into over 20 owners locally since this time who have pulled their pets from this place based on our experience. Not trying to sink a ship, But we care more about your pets then Adobe regime. Yurtle the Turtle 100% Maybe they should take a note or two from that book themselves. A shot here and there? Ok. Hard to mess that up unless they give the wrong one or wrong dose. Minor injures? Ok. (Like hangnail minor) When it's your pets life or death? Run as fast as you can. One star? Hmmmph. I wouldn't even give them 1 rotten tomato.

We had to make the difficult decision to put our 15 year old schipperke down and considering the devastation of the situation the entire staff was on point from receptionist’s to doctor. I carried him in and was literally unable to speak and they read the situation perfectly, escorting me into the private exam room with zero verbal communication. I was also 15 minutes late as I didn’t have much time from work to getting dog to getting to Adobe. The process was as smooth as it could be all things considered. We also take our other two dogs in for checkups regularly as a side note. We sent our little guy off as peacefully as possible with the help of the good folks at Adobe. Thanks again to the staff for being on their A game in a time where our family surely needed it.

I cannot recommend Adobe hospital highly enough--especially Dr. Kidwell. A little over a month ago our 13 year old Labrador, Tucker, collapsed. The team at Adobe were able to see him immediately, and quickly assessed the cause. It turned out to be the worst possible news: pericardial effusion--fluid build up around the heart, very likely due to a mass. I can imagine no harder job than to have to tell someone their beloved pet can't be saved. Dr. Kidwell was beyond amazing. She took all the time with us that we needed, walking us through options, giving us clear information. In the end she was able to gently and compassionately guide us to the right choice to let him go. It was devastating, but I am so grateful to everyone at Adobe for how they supported us and for the care they took to make sure Tucker's passing was peaceful. It will take time to heal, but when we get our next dog, Adobe will be our first call. It is a vet office that truly goes above and beyond.

If you are looking for a vet experience that treats your dogs like they are your children (when to you they are your fur children) than this is the office for you. We have 2 German Shepherds in their care and have been with this office December of 2016, Recently our oldest had been in for x-rays due to a park injury. Last Monday 2/26 we woke up to her squeeling and knew that something was not right. I phoned Adobe Animal and spoke with Emily as soon as they opened. I was fortunate enough to get in later that afternoon for an emergency visit and be seen by Molly (who has known Roxie since we got her at 8 weeks) and Dr. Sternwedel. I felt like I was a parent at a pediatrician; I felt seen and knew my baby was being taken care of by women who love her as much as we do. The follow up calls since only confirm how much we value and appreciate the relationship with this office.

This is regarding their insane scheduling policy. I called looking to schedule as a new client, and they informed me that they are scheduling out 6 weeks (understandable) but I would have to pay for the appointment before I could book it, and if I were to cancel in the intervening time I would not get my money back. I would totally understand a policy of it being nonrefundable if I no-call no-showed, or even if I canceled last minute....but to insist on payment ahead of time for a service that won't be performed for over a month and offer no refunds for any change of plans that could occur in that expansive amount of time? Especially when they're obviously popular enough that they'd have no issues filling the spot? Absolutely deranged.

I absolutely recommend them! Amazing Animal Hospital and staff! Our German Shepherd is a rescue and we move around a lot so finding a new vet can be difficult! Our vet we had in Alaska and Texas were amazing! We never had any problems taking her in for a yearly exam/vaccinations. Once we moved here we went to this other animal hospital that was supposed to be good/low stress handling but it went terribly. So I put up recommendations for a good animal hospital on Facebook. Shortly after a friend recommended Adobe Animal hospital to me. I am so thankful they did! I called to set up an appointment for our dog mid December so it was about a 6 week wait because they were scheduling all new patients 6-8 weeks in advance which was absolutely fine with us/worth the wait! We took our dog in last week just to update her vaccinations/do an exam. I saw they have outdoor patio exam areas so I asked for that option. Within 5-10 minutes the nurse and Dr. Katerina Kidwell came back with her and talked to us about how the exam/vaccinations went. Everything went amazing and she did great! They just let us know she was a bit scared but otherwise did great! They gave us some treats to give her afterwards as well! I really appreciate how nice they were to our dog/us! I can’t thank them enough for treating her so well!
