Nice spot... A must have is the artichoke soup... Only really went there for that, other items in menu looked good, and everyone there looked to be enjoying thier meals, so I would say, give anything there a shop; just remember to top it with a bowl of delicious artichoke soup. ???Parking: Plenty of parking in front and around; small'ish town so if up for it, can do a bit of walking around, and the people (imo) I found to be friendly and helpful.

Not what it used to be! The Snapper & Chips was a big disappointment, tasteless and dry (no tartar sauce, no coleslaw) and small portion for the price. The seafood chowder was different from what I expected but good, but also tiny portion. For $52 absolutely not worth it. Fish & Chips is better at most other restaurants in this area which surprised me. I really want to like this place, but this is the second time I've been disappointed. It seems like they're just living off their history and name.

We had a great meal with a very helpful server who helped guide my wife and daughter to many gluten free options across the menu. Highly recommended.Dietary restrictions: Helpful with gluten free options and knowledgeable about what would work though the menu doesn’t list what’s gf.

Our friend brought us here and she raved about the ollieberry pie. It certainly did not disappoint. I’m still not sure if there’s actually an ollieberry but it was so tasty.I had the clam linguini and the clams were huge! Carl had the onion rings and they were a bit greasy. My sister and her friend shared the French dip and artichoke soup which was interesting. I really enjoy supporting local business and this mom and pop restaurant was wonderful. Definitely make sure you stop by if you’re near Half Moon Bay.

Duarte's is a Bay Area institution. People rave about it. But stripped of the nostalgia, the food just isn't that good. There are many better options on the coast. But it's nice that Duarte's has been in business so long, and people can come back to relive old memories.

The only question is why haven't you been here lately? Still wondering why you haven't been here ? Do good, pricey, but worth it. Also, fried smelt back on the menu. Yummy.

This historic building and the restaurant has been owned by the same family since the 1860s. They have their own vegetable garden so their veggies are very fresh. The interior is dark and certainly has a historic vibe. Thankfully the bathrooms are modern and clean. There is a small eat in restaurant and the bar also has a few tables. I sat at the bar and had a mojito that was delicious.I had the Crab Sandwich which came with fries, both very good. I was momentarily put off when I saw the white bread the crab came on, however it tasted fine. Excellent fries! Nice and crispy and not oily. Took the Asparagus soup to go and it was delicious!Service was friendly and prompt without being overbearing. Will definitely return.Vegetarian options: There are options for vegetarians such as the artichoke soup and fries but not a big selection. Not good for vegans

Family run and very well run. We always eat in the bar where it's first come first served. This strategy works well on the weekdays. This place gets packed and the wait can get very long. The vibe is very old style. It feels like a true step back in time to the late 1800's. The food is delicious. I highly suggest the higher priced items for a nice meal. During the holiday season they make a delicious eggnog that's exceptionally strong. Edit: established 1894

This used to be a good place, but apparently it changed hands some time ago. The food is meh and at this price level is nothing but disappointing.

A nice place worth stopping in at if you’re in the area. My memories of it were better than what the place delivered in terms of food quality. There used to be more delicious artichoke items on the menu. The staff is very friendly.

Had to visit based on the recommendation from DDD and we enjoyed it. We've had better cioppino and better fish and chips though so not sure we'll be back unless we're driving through or past Pescadero.
