“Lovely place to stop on Hwy 1 between Half Moon Bay and Santa Cruz. A nonprofit organic farm with some yummy pies, jams and more. Interesting and unique gifts as well.”

“My now wife (Char) and hosted a camping weekend after our wedding ceremony at Venture Retreat Center. The space was perfect for what we were looking for. It's rustic and a bit rough around the edges, but it has all the creature comforts you would need in a glamping getaway (power, heated showers, a HOT TUB). Janelle was very easy to work with. Venture got hit pretty hard by a mud slide earlier in the year and Janelle was working hard to make sure that we had a good experience and had everything we needed. We catered one of our meals through Loma Mar (and loved it).Venture is a beautiful space, surrounded by a ton of beauty. We hosted a field trip to the beach with a geology talk/tide pool viewing, a crochet circle, karaoke. It was just a lovely space that helped us facilitate community.Janelle had set up a number of bell tents for our guests, which were super clean, and spacious. The yurt provided the perfect heated, powered activity room for our guests when it got cold. The large tent with bed + fridge, coffee, made for the perfect honeymoon suite. We are looking forward to their renovations and returning in the years to come.”

“I am new in to the Bay Area( and California in general) and I was looking to take advantage of all the great locally grown food in the area. I was really looking for some great quality grass fed beef to incorporate into a new diet plan I created for myself. I found left coast after a simple google search; and am EXTREMELY happy I picked them to grab my grass fed beef from. My person of contact was Nikki, who made the whole process simple, easy and was as informative as you want the person who provides your food to be.
I was expecting to just drive out to the farm and pick up my purchase and be on my way. Howver Nikki gave me a fairly extensive tour of the property; which is amazing. The architecture of the buildings is mainly intact from the 1920's; with some amazing renovation-work on the insides.
They are actually a research and educational farm that focuses on sustainable grass-fed agriculture. The beef they produce is secondary to that mission; but I can tell you it tastes first rate. So flavorful, I'm already addicted.
I am really happy to support the folks at left coast and what they are doing in terms of research for a more sustainable and healthier planet. Anybody who is looking for some high quality product, wants to check out a really beautiful farm, or wants to support really passionate work; need look no further than LeftCoast.
Will recommend to any and all individuals I know who are interested.

Jon M.”
