Obviously I should have done my Yelp research before going with GHH, but I saw the truck in our neighborhood and, liking the name God's Helping Hands, I took down the number and called them for a pick-up of my furniture donation. The guys who came to our home on June 8 were professional and polite. Initially, they were scheduled to only pick-up a chair-and-a-half and ottoman, but while here my Husband asked it they would be willing to take a two-piece sectional we had upstairs. The head guy checked out the sectional and happily agreed to take it as well, especially since we were their first stop. After they left I came down and asked my Husband if they left any paperwork. He said no. Well I've been busy and preoccupied with life so not until today did I get to calling and requesting a receipt. When I asked Jason he said that it's been two months. He can't give me a receipt. I asked, so you can't look back in your records and generate a receipt. He said, "No," like I was asking for the impossible. How can you not have records of your donation receipts going back just two months... even if it is actually 7 weeks! I really don't understand!!!! With so many other options to give, I won't be giving a hand to GHH any more.

I went to both GHH ministries that are located in the city of Paris. We had fun great merchandise, but the men that work there are absolutely perverted. I walked in there with my daughter, and they could not keep their eyes off of her. The last thrift store we went to the guy literally was staring at my daughter the entire time then he left the cash register to go to the back to tell some more guys whatever and they all came out and we're staring at her. She finally came to me and said I feel uncomfortable so we put the crap back and we left. Would not recommend taking kids to.

Thrift store inventory so the standard fare of lots of clothes with some furniture, glassware and kitchen items, a few electronics and lamps, and movies on DVDs and music on CDs. Bay doors are open so it's dusty inside. Prices are a bit high for thrift store, in my opinion. Good place to drop off items to donate for a good cause.

Some of the best thrift store deals I've ever seen, got some great deal on electronics, furniture, and household items, they have lot of clothing too. They also do eBay for some items. Thanks

I've noticed that this place has doubled some of their prices. What a shame I use to love this store but it looks like there trying to compete with the salvation army for high prices.. this stuff was donated by people wanting to help other people but like the salvation army yall are slowly making where the poor people can't shop here no more ... maybe they need to change people or managers either way guess I want be back for a while thanks.for looking out for the small man

Loved it! Walked in and immediately found just what I was looking for. And it was an excellent price! Very pleased. This happened the last time I was in there also.

These folks were so pleasant to work with. They came when they said they would and picked up what we had arranged for them to pick up. The gentlemen who came for our donation were very nice, we enjoyed talking with them. If we ever have anything else to donate, we'll be calling them. Couldn't be happier.

Thrift store is organized and clean. Clothes seem overly worn and homegoods are nondescript...but every once in and awhile you will score a gem. Why is the gentleman at the cashier position always so crabby? Geez, if you hate your customer base so much, why not quit? A thrift store is a thrift store, it attracts a bargain hunter, learn to find the joy. Like the new stuff at the front. Rotate your stock-if it's not selling, get rid of it.

I called to schedule a pickup and the man I spoke with was terse and seemed like he didn't want to be bothered. I said, "I'm sorry. I didn't get your name." He said, "I didn't give it. We can come and pick up next week." He then advised me as to where to leave my three boxes and how to label them. As the day of pickup wore on, I called three times to ask (as he suggested) for a more specific arrival time. Never got an answer. I left messages each time. They never came. The next day I donated to someone else.
