Worst thrift store I been in to date. Super picky about what you can donate and then the prices they charge are almost the price of new stuff. Better off going to goodwill or other places.

Very kind workers are always a pleasure to converse with. The selection is really great as I always find some treasure for me or my kids.

I have been going to this Thrift Shop for many years and I am horrified how the prices have just escalated, some of the prices are absolutely ridiculous. I am not sure if it is due to new management just having no clue about what they are doing, but they need to take notice. They will not sell anything at these prices, there are things in this shop that have been there for months, don't they get it, the price is to high, mark it down, get the money for the charity. I won't be shopping there again until someone gets it, management needs to know this is not attracting customers but forcing them to stay away. Also.the change to the shop in Nevada City is not good, prices are way to high, no friendly staff, like at the old location, its more like a Marshalls than a Thrift Shop.

I wanted to give more than three stars. However I can't do that until Hospice Thrift Stores and ALL other thrift stores for that matter will explain to me and others how they do their pricing? After all most people shop at thrift stores (i e USED good stores) because either they THEMSELVES need to save money because they have LIMITED income... BTW 99% of people have LIMITED $$.We support ALL good causes to help others I respect that greatly as I believe in a altruism and frequently donate to "non profit" I understand there are overhead costs like rent, insurance & wages as well. All of that being said... I know that myself and many others would like it explained ;how a non profit thrift store does the pricing? Because of the fact that everything is 100% donated so anything that you add on as a price a sale price is PURE profit basically. So the reason why I am asking is because I do shop at thrift stores a lot and while most times things are priced within reason I find MORE and MORE items severely overpriced.I can go to a store a discount store that sells NEW items and buy a similar item for the same cost.I have to ask myself why I am buying a used item at the same cost as a new item? Also more disturbing is, sometimes the used item is priced even MORE than a NEW item, which I find way too often lately at these "thrift" stores. This is something that must be addressed and fixed. Those that run "thrift" store sales ; must ask yourself ,what are you doing to really serve the community that SHOP at your stores. Perhaps you should ALSO be empathetic to the fact that there are people shopping at your stores that NEED to save money too (an economic hospice saving if you will??).After all you are making 100% profit on ALL goods sold in your stores. So I ask you please explain to me and others how you do your pricing? Why it's okay to sell things at the same cost as NEW ITEM discount stores and sometimes even more than those stores sell new items? That to me is very unacceptable. So I am asking you to at least explain that. I do understand marking "collectables" higher but regular clothing etc is EXCESSIVE don't you think?

Getting real tired of thrift stores claiming their overpriced item sells for such and such an amount on eBay. First of all, no it doesn't. The people pricing don't seem to understand that an asking price on eBay is rarely how much it actually sells for. They need to be referencing the "Sold" tab of an item on eBay. Secondly, how much it resells for on an online auction site shouldn't dictate your prices. Do you know why? Because YOU'RE. A. THRIFT. STORE. Not a vintage boutique!! If you want to charge boutique prices, change your name. Well organized and friendly staff but, for the love of all that is holy, lower your prices!!

I love this little shop. On Tuesdays all clothes are priced half off. The first Fri and Sat of the month, everything but orange tags are half off the entire store. My Mom got Dad a worth $300 or more like new LazyBoy recliner for $75!!!

I like the setup of this place, and it has good variety, but I'm very disappointed in their business practices. Checked this place out on a Thursday and got some odds and ends. Found a cute, though clearly worn and a bit damaged dollhouse with no price tag. So we asked how much it was, and they checked with a guy in the back... 30 bucks. I was not willing to pay 30 for something with faded stickers and sagging shelf and a gear that wouldn't keep the roof up as designed, so I said we'd pass on it. The lady we were talking to let's us know that tomorrow (Friday) is half price day! Great! I felt this was worth EXACTLY 15 bucks.
