“Amazing event space for the Monterey County Boy & Girls Club - Comics for Kids event. A first rate event. The food was amazing. Braised short ribs were freaking amazing. I really enjoyed the pre=reception area with complementary wine and light appetizers, that include a meat and cheese display and also an ahi-tuna bit that was excellent as well. A wonderful event space for any organization and/or corporate event to showcase their company.”

“this "hotel", which both is and isn't is of that rare breed of lodging that makes one feel at home. literally.if you have ever had the occasion and opportunity to be a guest in a better home, The Lodge at Pebble Beach will remind you of that kind of experience.every interaction with staff gave one the feeling they were being attended to by an old family equerry. there was nothing corporate about the experience. at no time did i feel i was being subjected to some "standard operating procedure" or employee's manual.the rooms, even the modest ones, are palatial, for what they are. high ceiling and sprawling floorspace make for an en-suite guestroom in a mansion, sort of vibe.room service. the food arrived hot, even though the kitchen was a few hundred yards away and it was raining, cold and windy.the concierge. a more affable exchange can not be had.the bar. i asked that the bartender prepare an obnoxiously off-the-menu cocktail and he did it, without thinking about it. without hesitation. and not with any complaining or exasperated vibe, either.the people at the front desk kind of put you in the mind of a fuzzy episode of the TV Series "Hotel" in the way they tendered the keenest and intentional care to every word that comes from your mouth.at every turn i was confronted with nicety, service, and warmth.i'll be back.thank you, Lodge!”

“I’m giving 5 stars because by the day of the wedding, everything was PERFECT. There were some small issues along the way, so a 4.8 may be realistic, but there’s more details below. The Pros:- Beautiful venue in a perfect location- The team is super experienced with weddings and our coordinator gave a lot of great guidance on timeline, decor, etc.- They have great vendor relationships. They gave us a list of recommended vendors and we ended up only using people they preferred. They were all fantastic and had experience at the Barns, so we didn’t have to give a ton of guidance.- The venue coordinators takes great care of the bride and groom on the wedding day. They brought appetizers and drinks to us during pictures, made sure we got a full plate of food during dinner, and were overall amazing without being overbearing.- Everyone was incredibly complimentary of the food and drinks. The Cons:- When we went to our initial food tasting the food was really really bad (lukewarm, no flavor, etc). Apparently there was an issue in the kitchen that day and we ended up doing a second tasting that went much better. Everything turned out great, but we were pretty stressed about the food after the first tasting.- There are a lot of potential add ons when it comes to food, decor rental, etc. Be really careful to fully understand the additional cost. There were a few times I realized my estimates and my coordinator’s estimates were off. If I hadn’t been keeping an eye on this, we probably would have overpaid on accident.- During the planning process, our coordinator was really busy. I could tell she did her best to reply promptly and answer all my questions, but there were times I felt like we were miscommunicating by sending emails every 3-4 days rather than talking on the phone. If it’s possible, I’d recommend scheduling a monthly check in for 15-20 min instead of emailing.Overall, amazing experience. My husband and I both agreed there wasn’t one thing we would have changed about our wedding day. If you’re looking to get married in the Monterey area, this is the place to do it!”

“Nice little wine bar with small bites in the Cannery Row area. They had some nice wine choices and beers. Charcuterie and flatbreads and other snacks. Wine flights in test tubes which looked a bit bizarre but was popular! Good service with only one person working when I went. I went with a glass of their Brut which was slightly sweet for me , and their sourdough pretzel with Dijon mustard. The pretzel was nice and warm and the mustard had a great kick. Nice little gifts available too. I liked that it had groups and just solos having a glass of vino at the end of the day. Cozy feel.”

“We got married at The Perry House in July 2023 and had an amazing experience. The first time I saw the venue, I fell in love. It has so much character (which is a huge plus because you don't need to do much decorating) and an intimate feel. The setup of the house is pretty cool! The ceremony is outside (they have a really nice arch), and after the ceremony, that space is converted to dinner seating. There are two levels in the house, which makes it easy for those who aren't interested in dancing to have a more relaxed conversation. One note is that because there are only stairs and no elevator, it may be hard for disabled or older folks to get around. The Perry House handles all food and beverage needs. Our guests absolutely raved about the food and the signature cocktails. There is a lot of variety with different budgets - definitely go to the tasting if you can.The Perry House also provides a day-of coordinator, which honestly felt priceless. They help with planning certain things, but they made the whole day run smoothly. I didn't feel one ounce of stress on my wedding day, except for typical wedding jitters. The only hiccup I had was that we hadn't heard from our coordinator in a few weeks, and we were getting close to needing to submit our guest count. It turns out they had left the company, and we had a new coordinator, but they had the wrong email address for us. It seems like that could have been avoided, but it all worked out.We ended up having a relatively low guest count and needed to fulfill the food and beverage minimum. We were able to add on extra food (late-night snacks) and upgrade our appetizers. We were also able to use the extra budget for rentals such as chargers and nicer chairs. This is awesome because I have seen people complain that their venue doesn't let them do this. It definitely helped us feel like we were getting great value.Overall, it was an amazing day, and we loved our venue. Many of our guests still talk about our wedding and say it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to.”

“Attended an insurance industry conference and loved this venue. Beautiful building exterior and lobby areas. Perfectly sized, cleaned and stocked bathrooms. Plenty of space to take a break from meetings and stretch your legs in the common areas. Walking distance to several local coffee and lunch items and S’bucks is across the street.”

“This was truly the most delightful experience. From the moment we arrived the staff were incredible. It was story book service from the classic age of American hotels. Valets and bellhops that met you with enthusiasm, a front desk that made you feel welcome and at home, and rooms that felt comfortable and palatial at the same time. The view of the bay was unbeatable, and the hotel provided binoculars enhanced ever sea otter and aviary delight. The hotel Dining was tremendous, but nothing could beat the lounge/ great room. Sitting with other guests, sipping on wine and listening to live piano while looking out over the ocean…I felt transported.I have no doubt that hundreds of hotel staff scurried in the background of every experience to make it seemless and wonderful for us.My thanks to all at the Monterey Plaza Hotel for the most perfect wedding anniversary we have had in 24 years of marriage.”

“We came for a spa day to celebrate a friend's birthday. The spa, warming pool, warming room & pool were beautiful. Being right before Christmas we had the place largely to ourselves. My friends both had massages which they said were great. The mountain view was lovely and the space is very comfortable. Please note - there is a road noise that can be disrupting in the spa area.A few comments -This lodge and spa are very expensive. One lunch - sandwich, burger, salad + juice, coffee was $180. And honestly was not super. If you're going to charge prices like that my chicken should not be dry, my pomegranate mocktail should not be bland and mostly ice, mint and lime. The food was underwhelming. (The service however was great - I really appreciate your excellent staff).Snacks/Tea in spa area: Please list if your produce, nuts, dried fruits are organic. Please stock organic teas not in microplastic laden tea bags. The spa personal care products - shampoo, body wash, conditioner etc - these are usually something I look forward to at a spa, however the products at Bernardus felt like an afterthought. All the fragrances were eucalyptus centered, but more perfumey than real. The pumps were flimsy. In short, I would never buy these products. They seemed fake and low quality. For the prices that were charged, I expected a little more attention to detail. I do however applaud your amazing staff. Everyone was helpful, capable, and made us feel very comfortable.”

“Absolutely LOVED our stay at CVR. We had the pleasure of staying for 4 nights and it gave us the opportunity to truly enjoy what the ranch had to offer. We were checked in by Jocelyn who did an amazing job at explaining everything to us about our stay and even gave us each a welcome glass of Prosecco. Our room was gorgeous, we had the suite with the tub on the deck. It is such a vibe. Highly recommend that suite. The room could have been cleaner as we did notice a lot of build up in the shower but overall it was fairly clean.I loved that there is SO much to do. You literally never have to leave the ranch. They have hikes, fitness classes, golf, so many animals to go look at in their stables, an amazing spa, pool/hot tub with a view and much more. They have shuttles to take you to and from wherever you want to go on the ranch. Oh and complimentary apples in the morning and s'mores every night to roast by the fire pits. I liked that there is an adults only pool and hot tub. The ranch is verrrry family and pet friendly but it was nice to have some peace and quiet in that area. 1000/10 for the SPA. My fiancé and I got a couples massage with a scalp massage and it was the best massage we've ever had. They gave us a complimentary cupcake and glass of champagne afterwards since it was my birthday. I would especially recommend this hotel for families and people that want to bring their fur babies with them. It was just me and my fiancé on this trip, but we still had a lot of fun exploring everything the ranch had to offer.”

“Fair-priced, beautiful fairways, amazing golf and lower 9. The best around to avoid obnoxious resort fees, caddie fees, and general over-priced golf experiences on the peninsula.”

“While I've only been to the Paper Wing Theater in person one time, I have ordered food from them a couple times and was pleasantly surprised at how addicting they are! On DoorDash, they offer Paper Wing's Vegan Sushi and it is so good! I end up gorging myself every time! I highly recommend the veggie tempura. With their creative take on traditional sushi rolls, this is one spot I hope stays around for a while. This is one vegan version of a sushi roll that's fun and fabulous! (Look out Queens!) Along with their vegan sushi, you should check out Paper Wing Theater's show schedule. They host Drag Bingo and other fun drag events. This place is definitely a good time! I highly recommend the Paper Wing for their food and fun.”

“We rented Laguna Grande hall at Oldemeyer Center for our event in August 2023, it worked well for us. The kitchen was well equipped, it has ice machine. The administrative staff at the reception was helpful, prompt in answering the calls & emails. At the end of our event, the cleaning staff was ready to do their part & advised us on what was left for us to clear out. They also did a final walk-through with us. We were refunded the security deposit promptly. Ample parking.”

“I had my daughter's 1st birthday party here, and it was absolutely perfect! Tina Campbell, the event planner, and the entire staff made the day run so smoothly and they were so accommodating, and patient with me and my guests. I can't say enough good things about all of them and their beautiful facility. All of my guests enjoyed everything and couldn't stop raving about it. Thank you guys for helping make my daughter's birthday memorable!!!”

“Club Del Monte is one of my new favorite venues to photograph weddings and events! I love how spacious the ballroom is, and the outdoor area is perfect for large gatherings and my favorite, golden hour photos for the couple! Plus, the catering services were very impressive.”

“This was the ideal vacation for relaxation while traveling with a toddler (I know, hear me out.) First, the hilltop suite offered plenty of room for us all. 800 square feet with lots of space for our daughter to play with her toys and move around. The spacious king bed was extraordinarily comfortable (may be the most comfortable bed we have ever experienced) and we loved the large bathroom with a shallow but large tub for our toddler who loves a bath. My husband and I treated ourselves to outdoor baths daily with the large soaking tub on the patio. The views… It was perfect. At check in, they offered us a diaper genie and a microwave to be delivered to our room. This was a gamechanger and so very thoughtful. They also provided baby shampoo, lotion and wash as well as a thoughtful gift for our toddler. Above and beyond. Our room was serviced daily and we were very impressed with the room service. So much attention to detail. You never had to ask for more towels, more soap, etc. The best cup of coffee we had all week was at the lodge. Dont even bother venturing out into carmel for better coffee, you dont need to. We looked forward to our daily routine of walking the beautiful grounds to the lodge to get a great cup of coffee and breakfast. The pool area and hot tubs were beautiful and my husband and I enjoyed making smores by the fire pits in the evening. All of the little touches made this trip so memorable and worthwhile. We traveled often before having a child and now we are always seeking the perfect kind of vacation that works for us all. Here, we found it. Thank you, Carmel Valley Ranch for providing top notch service and accomodations. We relaxed, we adventured, and we truly felt the bliss of vacation during our stay. We will be back!”

“Fantastic club for a car enthusiast like myself! They have lots of selections of vehicles to rent. The quality of the cars are in pristine condition considering they're rentals, they really know how to take of their vehicles and clients as well! Highly recommend to anyone who is a car enthusiast or want to rent something nice for that special occasion!!”

“Did you know that the green fees can vary? I was here yesterday and they said fees change daily like the airlines. I went online and it was much cheaper than calling or going in person. Who knew golf fees could be adjusted in addition to twilight hour fees. Beautiful day yesterday!.”

“Location, location, location. Best one in Monterey. First, we were welcomed charcuterie fruits, cheese, chocolate and champagne! The hotel is walking distance to everywhere and we never took our car out. We took Lyft once to a restaurant that was 6 miles away. First night we had a few drinks at the bar. Service was great from Ricky. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the morning open at 6:30-11 am. We wanted local coffee and simply walked 1/2 a block. The Wells Fargo Bank was also right there the next block. Staff are super friendly and we had a nice corner room with a view of the Marina thanks to Irma. The hotel is due to for a remodel as the bathroom were a little older. The room decor was simple and beds were comfortable. I did love the cotton light robes and slippers they provide and oversized bath towels. Thank you for a great stay!”

“First time there. Viewed on the big screen. Cinemark's version of IMAX. Perhaps not quite as big as IMAX but was very impressive. Sound was high quality. Our movie also happened to be in 3D. Over a great experience.”

“As a Hyatt Member, all and all, my stay was enjoyable. Being located in one of the most beautiful places in the world, how can it not be great. We were offered sparkling wine upon check in, always appreciated :) I didn't appreciate that we were forced to chat with the timeshare vacation rep after checking in but after my expressing that I wasn't interested, he backed off and we ended up joking around the rest of the visit. The property itself is beautiful (I regret not taking any photos). Weirdly, there's no easy way to get your luggage to the room, as there's no way to use one of those luggage carts (lots of steps). We had a king ocean view with a balcony. The balcony was fantastic - had a premium view! However the room wasn't quite what I was expecting, primarily the bathroom. It was more like a motel bathroom. There's a small vanity area outside the small room with a old style bathtub/shower combo; very drab and not conducive to a nice relaxing bath. One huge upside is how close the property is to Point Lobos. This was by far one of the most scenic hikes I've experienced.Dining on the property was a bit of a mixed experience. Overall, I enjoyed the food and drinks that I had. The menu's a bit limited. I'd brought a special bottle of wine for the trip and after finding out that corkage was either $35 or $40, we decided that we'd just order in for one of our dinners. We were surprised to learn that you have to physically go to the restaurant to order, that they had no room service option. In addition, we paid a significant service charge for ordering to go. If they don't have a room service option and we are doing all the leg work to bring something back to our room, why are we paying a fee??Now that I've stayed here once, I'd definitely consider returning and incorporating what I learned on this trip to improve my experience next time. Even with the negatives, it's a special place.”

“We celebrated our anniversary here and asked for window seats overlooking Monterey Bay. They fulfilled our request and even had special menus printed acknowledging our anniversary! Mark, our server, was attentive without hovering and made excellent menu suggestions. Get the sweet and spicy halibut (chef's kiss!). They also have an extensive wine list. Finished the evening with their signature dessert, the hot lava cake. Yum!!! All in all, a wonderful place to celebrate.”

“An isolated location from the downtown. Rooms are good. But some rooms are facing a freeway so it could be very noisy. I needed to switch my room with an extra cost to avoid the noise.”
