This is the review for the spa. While the spa does have a full suite of facilities, it was a bit smaller and a bit more dated than I had expected, as well as limited outdoors / view from the spa. Massage was also just average. Overall, still a solid option but felt a bit overpriced for what it offered.

Hands down the best Spa you will ever enjoy. The service is impeccable, the steam room, dry sauna, hot tub, plunge pools and inhalation room prepare you for an outstanding and relaxing service. The robes are so amazing and we return time and time again to this special place!

It was relaxing. Definitely recommend any of the massages especially if you can get one near the end of the day. It’s very expensive but this is the only spa I’ve been to, so I can’t compare it to anything else. The pool was warm the different rooms like; ionization, steam, and sauna were great. I don’t know what the whirlpool does but tried and it was nice.
Food and drinks: It has a wide selection of drinks, they have coffee, wines, beers, smoothies and juice drinks. My 2 favorites were the Pebble Pearadise and the Mango Madness.

I got a Thai massage with Joseph, and it was a truly euphoric and healing experience. The spa itself has an incredibly zen ambiance, with delicious scents of cedar-eucalyptus and mellow vibes to instantly calm & center you. The entire staff, from Haylen who helped check me in to the owner Greg, I felt so cherished, important and cared for. The little gifts of chocolate, warm tea, lucious robes and much more…. Spa by the Sea has thought of everything so you really need for nothing. I left feeling absolutely divine, both inside and out, and am already planning my next visit??? Highly recommended.

We had a group of us stay at the Inn at Spanish Bay Resort at Pebble Beach for a weekend to celebrate a friends' 50th birthday & as a treat for the ladies, we opted to get massages here. I enjoyed the facilities and they offered a nice selection of bites/drinks but I went primarily for the massage and the massage I received from my massage therapist (with initial "J") was very disappointing and did not reflect the $300+ for the service. I asked for a deep-tissue massage but walked away feeling like she did not put any effort into actually performing the work of massaging or giving me the deep tissue massage. I made several attempts to make suggestions to no avail & walked way feeling cheated of my time and experience. I expect a place like this should qualify their massage therapists and make sure the best performing massage therapists remain.

I was given a facial as a birthday present, it was the best one I've had in my life! When I walked in the door, the front desk greeted me warmly, and the feeling of the whole building is that of calm. Afterwards I relaxed in the Himalayan salt room, which is supposed to release tension.
With that and the facial...bliss!

Overall we were sadly disappointed by our experience at the spa. The accommodations were nice but dated, the staff kind but overly present/doting, and the masseuses earnest but quite inexperienced and ineffective. We were mainly disappointed by the quality of our massages: my mother, partner, and I each got one, which cost well over $1,000, which felt quite unfair for the quality of service. The steam room was also broken. We also heard the staff complaining about working conditions, which definitely broke the magic. We came to The Spa at Pebble Beach looking for an oasis and some recuperation in the midst of some trying times. And to be honest, if we hadn't been so beaten down, we would've asked for a refund.

It was something special at one time. Receptionist not very welcoming. Attendants were professional and informative. Steam room is down. Dont know how long it has been out of service although I have a feeling it has been a while. Massage was great. Atrium quiet area needs some sprucing up and the snacks were something to be left on the table. Overall thoughts, save your money and select a different location for a spa day.

I spent 3 glorious hours here. I had a therapeutic massage which was amazing. Jody is a fantastic massage therapist. According to my oura ring I fell asleep for about 45 minutes of it. I was in such a wonderful state of relaxation post massage that I went to the inhalation room afterwards and slept for another 20 minutes. Spent a little time in the sauna too and it was really hot. Only last 5 minutes in there. Amenities are all really nice and they thought of everything. I've been to other day spas and this one has been my favorite. It's pricey but it's pebble beach and this mama was in dire need of relaxing.
