*Do not recommend and will never return*
The rooms are very outdated. The chairs that were in the room were rod iron chairs which belong outside and not in a room. For bedding, there was only a top sheet and comforter. There were only two towels provided and never received any extra clean towels during my stay. When taking a shower, the water temperature would constantly fluctuate between hot and cold and not maintain a consistent temperature, making it difficult to take a shower. The air conditioner faces the bathroom and not towards the living area, making it difficult for the room to cool down.
As for service, their operational hours are not the best. They close the office at 7:30pm so if you don't make it by then, you will have to find another place to sleep for the night. If you want to check out in the morning, you have to wait for them to open the office (which can be after 8am). So if you have things to do in the early morning on your check out day, you are SOL. I guess they expect you to conform to their hours and they are not there for your convenience. It appears they are more interested in their bar/restaurant than their rooms. For what I saw and experienced, the price of the rooms are too high for what you get. For their prices, I would have got better staying at a Motel 6.

Rooms are reasonably priced, modest, remodeled nicely, and the AC and water pressure were top notch. Mini fridge and TV also worked great. Bed was very comfy. I'd recommend bringing an extra pillow if you prefer more than one to yourself. Property is well kept, quiet, quaint. Loved the pool. They allowed us to swim/hang out before we checked into the room, so we had it all to ourselves for a few hours. Really enjoyed the prime rib dinner and my bloody mary was one of the best I've ever had. Staff was friendly, service was great. This place is a gem. We will definitely be back!
Rooms: Modest and clean, has what you need. Cool AC, DirecTV, mini fridge and nice shower all in working order
Nearby activities: Right up the road from Harrah's Casino. Not far from other tribal gaming hot spots
Safety: Careful entering and exiting from the main road. The curve can be tricky.
Walkability: The property is nice for walking the grounds but not a place to walk to and from
Food and drinks: Restaurant & Bar open until 8 pm. Both have great selections available.

Great staff and gorgeous grounds. Love this place. The food is delicious, and they recently added a few items to the menu. The streak and prime rib are flavorful, and so are the sliders! I ask for horseradish on the site for an extra kick. You must not forget to order some margaritas! The margaritas are the best I've ever had, ever!!

Next to busy highway, pull off at 50 mph. Food is "meh" at a higher price. Not a comfortable place. Traditional folks made to feel unwelcome as the bar is blasting TV news (MSNBC) in your face full time. People there loud! Discussing progressive politics and I had to ask, did they know of the recent and nearby beach-landing of "visitors" from another place (see video) ... NO! So uninformed and rude! Did they know that there were only 6,500 people (size of a high school - almost zero) from the uninvited demographic before we were US. Before Reagan OK'd those who came unwelcomed. Did they know propositions from the '90's did not welcome uninvited but were forced to eat this by the "powers-that-be?" Did they know there is nowhere to sleep (homes) for young adult locals who visit their restaurant because the demand for rooms and local homes by the uninvited. Bar talk about the attached video from near the restaurant was got a blank stare. These loud diners and staff were simply uninformed, rude, lacking knowledge of the local area, and so typically offensive to half of the restaurant patrons. Avoid this place!

Okay, like some of the other reviews, said it is quite rustic And basic. However, The rooms are clean, quiet, bed soft and the service was great! Food at the restaurant and service were very good as well. You can definitely tell that a lot of locals frequent this place. A number of the groups seem to know each other as well as the staff. But they paid as much attention to us and treated us just as well as the patrons, they obviously knew.
Oh, yes, the grounds were beautiful, peaceful and serene.

My wife and I had a very good dinner at the restaurant with great views of the surrounding mountains. The room was simple and relaxing. We enjoyed the patio just outside of our room. The property is covered with various types of plants and trees that provide abundant scents. We were here to see a show at the casino. It was nice to go and then drive less than 10 minutes to get away from all the lights and noises. At the Lazy H Ranch, you feel like you're miles away from anything.

We stayed here the other night. Funky place that our friends just love because they go back and forth from San Diego and Borrego Springs. Rooms are just ok and the place is rustic but the food is really good. It's a locals and kind of "in the know" type of place that adds to its charm.
