Wilson's is now closed. One of the best & most consistently good restaurants in Paso is gone.

I thought this place was a decent breakfast diner. You could tell the place was filled with regulars. Service was great. The servers were sweet and attentive, never letting our coffee get too low. The food was filling and prepared well. It was nothing that I would rave about but good for a simple meal.

The restaurant is comfortable and the staff is excellent. However I had breakfast and the eggs smelled like they were cooked in old oil. Eggs should be sweet and fresh and mine smelled. Since this restaurant has been around for a long time I assume this was the exception but it's something the chef needs to pay attention to.

Ordered pork chops and eggs poached. The pork chops tasted like they had been frozen and thawed in the pan. They were tough colorless blaw. Poached eggs were perfectly cooked. Toast was burned, dry. Pancakes were nice though fluffy. The bacon was super crisp to the point o burned while the fatty ends were raw. When I told them of how bad the chops were, I was only offered a to go box. The waitress just avoided us afterwards.

Service was 5 stars, outstanding. Unfortunately, the food was awful. Bacon burned, eggs underdone (over medium came with the whites still runny) and the ham and cheese omelet was made with velveta "cheeze food" product. The prices were high considering the low quality. We were hoping for a friendly, delicious hometown breakfast spot on our drive home to LA. The friendly and hometown were there, the delicious was not.

Well. I went here on a cousin's recommendation. Service was fine, food was very ok. Full of local regulars.

One of our favorite breakfast places! But we've only been there during the week & it's always been great....right down to the clean s&p shakers! You can easily split their omelets for the lighter eaters or to save a little $. It's all good!

I didn't even read any other reviews. Frankly, I don't care what anyone else has to say about this place. It's delicious, fast, friendly, and a family tradition. My boyfriend's grandfather, Tony, had breakfast here nearly every Sunday morning after church. He ordered 3 eggs, overheard, 4 sausage links (not patties, he was very clear about that), sourdough toast, hash browns with salsa, coffee with french vanilla creamer, and a glass of water. He sat with his wife in the same booth every Sunday, until just a few Sunday's ago. After attending church, and sitting in his pew, our family ventured to Wilson's to honor grandpa's breakfast one last time. We were seated promptly, the service was friendly, and many of them come to the table to personal comfort his grieving widow. I ordered the pancake sandwich, 2 pancakes, 2 slices of bacon, 2 sausage links, 2 scrambled eggs. I love pancakes, and these were delicious! They filled me up with out making feel gross, the butter melted into all the right places and the syrup was just the right consistency. Everything about this place is delicious and comforting. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Paso Robles.

Family came here the other morning, a party of about 8 or 9. got seated quickly but took about ten minutes to get some water/coffee. they weren't really busy either just disorganized. when the waitress finally came over we were obviously ready to order but she got us drinks first so we waited another 6 or 7 minutes for that. she handed our drinks out to us by the top of the glass which is nasty! who does that? germy! she dabbed herself with sweat and kept going so gross! wash your hands!!!! i ordered a smaller meal, the number one: one pancake, 2 sausages, and scrambled eggs. it was delish! also the perfect amount of food for me, i was stuffed! everyone else enjoyed their food. didnt' like our waitress, she made lame jokes and talked forever. just do your job we were trying to eat quickly and check out of our hotel by noon!

Went here with a huge group on a Sunday morning and there was plenty of room. The server was happy, helpful and quick. The menu said ABSOLUTELY NO SUBSTITUTIONS so I didn't try and ordered what I wanted a la carte but then later my bro-in-law asked "just how strict is that no sub rule really?" and it wasn't that strict at all... Food was pretty good. I didn't really have anything that was that wonderful or easy to judge but other people's food looked really good and they had nice things to say. I ordered an english muffin and the first one they made was burnt so she brought it out to me in case I preferred charred. I don't so she happily took it away and brought me a better one. They put a lot, and I mean a LOT of butter on that thing! And I ordered the fresh melon but all they had was canned fruit with peaches, pears and I think some apricots? I would have liked fresh melons a lot more. My husband's hash browns were very good, and I don't usually like hash browns, and I ate some of his toast, too. A little on the overly buttered/soggy side to me. If I were ever there again, I think I'd try a pancake or some french toast. Looked delicious.

Absolutely classic old school diner - didn't know they were still out there! Good food, good service, classic decor, and a great diner atmosphere.

Food was excellent. Do not let the empty parking lot fool you. Lots of food makes this place a great value.

First let me say, if i was rating the food i would give it a 4 **** Star! The Corn Beef Hash with Poached Eggs and Biscuits were excellent. Topped off with some maple syrup and butter just took me over the top. I have only one thing to say "Never, ever come over to a patrons table while they are in the middle of a meal and ask them to move to another table so you can seat a party of seven. " Women have you lost your mind!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I was just on my last biscuit and was thinking to myself, damn this food is great and the service, awesome. and another waitress walked over to me and asked me to move down a table to seat a party of seven. My server was great!! Her co-worker ignorant! Once again Never, Ever interrupt a patrons meal and ask them to move down a table.
