We went on a Thursday night, so there was good news and not so good news.
The good news was the partly cloudy skies made for an awesome sunset, which we were able to enjoy from our terrace seats. The fireplace kept us warm, as it was a little windy. Once the sun went down, the show started. And what a show! The hills looked like they had been painted by a master painter!
You can either stay in your chair and enjoy it, or take a walk through the entire exhibit (there are several paths).
The not-so-good news is that because we went on a Thursday, the food choices were limited. The best choice was the street taco food truck.
It was a nice, relaxing way for us to enjoy our anniversary, and I recommend it highly.

Yes! Go! My second visit, so I could take my husband and see the new Dimensions exhibit. Get all access if you've never been. Or just do Dimensions if you've been and want to skip the field of lights. You'll still have access to the new firepits, stage and Mercado area. We got there at sunset which was still light and started walking through the field where the lights were barely visibly on. But it got darker as we moved through. Spent a good chunk of time in the Dimensions as it was so mesmerizing. They had an optional silent disco in this exhibit only where you could wear headphones with DJ'd dance music. Honestly we did not need it. There's already calm beautiful music playing. But there were a few small groups loving with their own little dance party going on. They will have this Friday nights in Novemeber. We then walked back through the whole exhibit now that it was darker and of course the field of lights is just amazing all lit up. It looks so much bigger than in light. Then we got a beer and pizza and enjoyed the firepits and entertainment at the main pavilion. There are also firepits and food truck next to the Dimensions exhibit, which would also be a lovely place to sit. Spend a few hours and enjoy it all! The first time I went I rushed through it in the final hour and it was beautiful, but you can definitely spend several hours here and make it a full evening of enjoying lights, wine, food, entertainment and good company!

A little pricey, and the restrictions on exhibits based on package option are silly (for example the lowest tier exhibit is not available in the mid tier package?), but beautiful!
Loop is about a mile and easily doable with preschool/K-aged kids (extra eyes to keep track of them are helpful ?)
Went on a Saturday night, without a reservation, and had no issues getting in. Doors open ~30min before sunset and there is a cafe/bar area with fireplaces/live music to sit/relax.

I have been to Sensorio 5 times over the years and only paid twice. The first time was the first year it opened it was closer to 30 dollars and well worth it. Now it's 70 and while they have added some nice touches, the rudeness and inconsistence messaging of the security staff was really uncalled for and ruined the whole experience. Who tells a 3 year old to put away their lantern? Seriously, if that's really a rule the security who let us in should have said something but they didn't. Ironically Visit California has an add for Sensorio featuring a toddler with a lantern and if it's really a problem maybe talk to the adults?
So I tried to take my family to a different exhibit to try to enjoy the evening and we found it fenced off and inaccessible which was not really advertised well before I paid full price for tickets.
Then they continued to tell us we couldn't spin the spinning art pieces.
Which can spin for a reason.
So the cost plus the harassment of the staff really ruined it for us.
Don't take your children you will be harassed and treated like second class citizens.

Worth going once. This place is so well done and very cool to see. Giving three stars only because it feels very expensive for two adults and they would benefit from having a map or more signage. The paths can get a little confusing. Getting all access feels like the way to go because I would’ve been sad to miss field of lights and would’ve been sad to miss dimensions. Would recommend going as close to closing time as possible as crowds die down and there are fewer kids which makes it easier to really take in the lights. That said, they have great paths that you can take sights in from eye level or above and helps spread out crowds. There are bars well situated along the way and fire pits where you can sit and enjoy. Very much like Instagram vs reality but still a must do once if in the area and the lights are incredibly done.

Fabulous, it’s hard to describe immersive art other than to say yes, totally worth the money and go see it! We did the all access pass and the two exhibits with music were actually my favorites (even more than dueled of dreams which we started with to watch the sunset).
My mother is elderly and has limited vision so the dark mostly unlit paths were a little challenging.

The mosquitos ruined the experience for me , there were so many that you couldn't ignore it. I would recommend at least selling bug spray.

It was pretty awesome. You definitely need couple of hours to enjoy the whole experience, so get there like 7:30 and take it all in. They have created good space(s) and experiences. Nice fireplace, sitting spots along the way to enjoy/reflect. Kids friendly / romantic and spiritual. Nice balance of music/lights and reflections.

Me and my brother and his family checked out this place for the first time tonight. Today was my brother‘s 50th birthday and our older sister bought us all tickets as a present. This includes our mother. So we got there a little before seven and waited in the Main area by the restaurant in the bathrooms. Then when it got dark, we made our way through the field of light and it was quite impressive. But the best was the Dimensions in the back. That was amazing. I’ve been burning once, and it was very reminiscent of some of the art displays that you see on the Playa at night. The only thing I didn’t like was the price gouging for food and drinks. I paid almost 9 dollars for a cup of hot chocolate. But other than that, the place is fun & it makes you feel like you’re high just being there.

It was beautiful. However, it is not so great when people bump into you or nearly fall on you.
I am differently-abled, and with the darkness, it was difficult as people were looking at the lights instead of the path I was on. If differently-abled people had the first hour or even a day to themselves, it would be easier for those in wheelchairs as well as those pushing them. Just providing wheelchairs and wide paths isn't enough.

Beautiful experience! Truly magical once the sun goes down on a Friday summer night. We entered "backwards" so we missed all the people traffic, but it was VERY busy. Parking is free - get there early just in case. You cannot enter earlier than 6:30, including the food area. All the staff that we came in contact with was super friendly. Their resident cat named Ghost is adorable. The Patron margaritas (made fresh, not the pre-made mixer type) at the bar were exceptional and the bartender was NOT greedy with the shots (hehe). The food at Ricky's food truck was SOOOOOO GOOD! We ordered pastor tacos and a pastor quesadilla. Can't wait to come back!

A lovely experience. The upgraded ticket is worth it as you get access to a Terrace with sunset views and field lights before they come on. The general ticket doesn’t have this view. Also, the DIMENSIONS exhibit was beautiful. Very artistic and thoughtful execution. The exhibit is nestled in the hills and scenery so well. Each exhibit also has overlook spots where you can see it from another perspective.

Tough review to write. "Coolness" factor, it's probably a 5 star, but for the price (to see everything), it just isn't worth it. They have 2 "must see" exhibits - Field of Lights & Dimensions, but you have to buy an all access pass ($75+ with fees). The rest of the exhibits (except maybe Light Towers) is a waste. They open at 6:30pm, but neither of the must see exhibits are worth seeing until it gets dark - not dusk, but dark. So, at least 8pm in August - and the close at 10. If it was $25+/person then definitely worth it, but for ~$150 for a couple to walk around for a couple hours to look at 2 maybe 3 cool light exhibits, seems like too much.
There is plenty of parking and nice facilities (food/drink to purchase options, plenty of restrooms, seating with heater, etc). Unfortunately the walking path around the exhibits are packed dirt so expect your shoes to be filthy when you get home.

A MUST-VISIT in Paso Robles!! Quite possibly, one of the coolest places we’ve ever been. A lovely way to spend an entire evening. Arrive BEFORE sunset for live music and delicious food and drinks. Then, enjoy a magical journey of light and sound as you walk through the beautiful grounds of Sensorio Paso. Photos could not do it justice. You must experience this for yourself. We cannot recommend it enough and cannot wait to be back!
(Special shout-out to Asher Stern for the amazing vocal/guitar music. The cherry on top!)

Place is really nice but I'm not sure it's worth the money tho. Food is not included
