We brought our 13 year old son in to open his first checking account. Kara was super professional, patient, and provided our son with a good base education on how to write checks, and balance his check book with the paper register.

If I could give them NOTHING. Everyone who has this problem get media involved. I have a Home Equity loan, and they switched to credit card so they can charger credit card finance charges. I have been in and out of the hospital for numerous reasons, including COVID, had multiple surgeries, and yet they want my home.Be careful, stay away, and get media involved. If you have the voice recordings and documentation, you can take it somewhere. They DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU, dying or not.

Find a real bank. I banked with them for years then all of a sudden they stated charging fees which I was not notified of previously.

It seems like Golden 1 goes out of their way to make sure you go overdraft. I cannot stress enough how terrible it is to bank with them. Once you're balance starts getting lower it seems like things just stay pending until several pile up so that they can hit you with multiple overdraft fees. Their app is a nightmare. Overall just not worth dealing with. I wish I could give ZERO stars

Our auto loan was through these morons. We left the state and needed the title transfered. We called them to get it transferred and they said they would send the tittle to our new state to get the title issued by our new state. A year goes by and I go to register the car, ony to find out I can't because they never sent the title. I call them and they say they can't do it. Call the state and they say it has to come from Golden1. Call Bronze1 back and they say they need to have it requested, and gave me a fax number. Call the state back, they try two different fax numbers and it won't go through, so they sent an email request. Bronze1 says it could take up to 72 hours to process the email and we should send a fax. Finally they processed the request, but now we have to wait for CA dmv to send them the title so they can send it to my new state. So now, because of these guys, I'll be driving around for nearly a month with way over expired tags. Does anyone know of an address where I can send the ticket for them to pay?

Hands down the SINGLE WORST FINANCIAL INSITUTION I have dealt with. They make it IMPOSSIBLE to pay your bill, site failures, ding your credit (has cost me 150 pts) and horrible to deal with.If you LOVE MISERY I suggest using this POS

I'm shocked to see negative reviews. It doesn't add up. I opened an account when I lived in North county with this branch. I live in South County & I refuse to bank with anyone else. I walked up to Cassandra's window on super busy Sat. She was exceptional. When she couldn't finish the transaction due to a system issue. The amazing branch manager on duty helped me. I wish I would have gotten her name. She was absolutely perfect! She worked on the issue like the exceptional professional she is. She went above & beyond. She not only helped me with the issue, but she listened and was so kind & compassionate. Thank you Golden One for always helping professionally & doing everything with such amazing upbeat vibes. You are amazing!!!

This is by far THE WORST bank I have ever dealt with. Their customer service has been far from helpful and completely rude. They are not answering my questions they are saying you have to get ahold of the "back office" but will not tell me how to contact them. They allowed me to transfer some of my money but I never received it into my account and now they're not giving me any info and they're saying I have to call my other bank where the money was transferred even though that bank has no information on the transfer. If I could leave a zero star review I would. If you want to lose your money, deal with terrible customer service, and not be able to access your funds then this is the bank for you.

i have been with golden1 over 20 years, but their computerized check-in has been the last straw. every time i try to access my account on-line i end up contacting customer service or locked out, i wil follow the advise of waldo (g1 customer service rep) and bank else where, i don't need this frustation. buh-bye golden1.

Although I've had my account with Golden1 for approximately 26 years, they have never done me any credit card or loan favors since I've been with them. Recently they wasted my time at the Elkhorn Blvd branch in Sacramento by scheduling me an appointment to come in so they could notarize a document for me, and then refused to do so when I arrived because they wanted me to pay them for this service that is free to everyone who has an account with other banks. Wells Fargo has done numerous notaries for me for free without even having an account with them. The woman had the nerves to involve her worthless manager in the conversation who backed up her no-good customer service stating they wouldn't provide the service for free. I walked out and continue to make my major deposits with BofA who doesn't mind overwhelming their customers with great free services, including money added to your account for shopping at certain stores.

I have been with this bank for years and in a desperate moment where I needed a loan I did business with someone who was fraudulent and they stopped payment on the loan. My account was restricted and I was told that I would be contacted within 30 days it's been Now 60 days I've had to contact them numerous times. I get direct deposit and have to go to pull the money out at the branch. I sent an email 2 days ago because I was asked to write an appeal to reinstate my account after I'm the one following up on my account numerous times. I called back today two days later to check on it they have not received my email I'm being told so I had to send it again and now wait another 30 days for them to review and another 30 days to reinstate my account. I'm done with this Bank. You are not at all ever have you been helpful to me.
